Hello,
I know that I should'nt have do that, but I need your help.
I upgrade my MDA on the following state :
Rom : 4.01.16 Eng
RSU : 4.21.00
For buisness reson I have to go back to the original state.
Rom : 3.18.01 ENG
RSU : 3.23.00
Unfortunatly I didn't do a Backup
I have acces to some MDA with the originale rom and rsu
My question is how to go back to the originale state, without destroying the other mda with the originale rom? via bootloader?
Thanks in advance
The ROM part is easy, you can get the original 3.18 ENG from the carrier devices site http://www.carrierdevices.com.au/downloads.php?region=Asia Pacific
The RSU might be your nightmare especially that you have 4.21 which showed to be the pain for most people here ... anyway, in the same site you will find RSU 3.25 for Qtek ... it's almost the same as 3.23.
Good luck
Biso007 Thanks for you answer,
I look at your link but it seems to be the Qteck version, I really need the officiale t-mobile version.
Is there any way to save the originale one in one of the other phone that I have access and restore to my one?
Biso: Is the rom found in http://www.carrierdevices.com.au/downloads.php?region=Asia Pacific WM2003? What radio version it contain? Is it compatible with PW10B1 device?
I'm now running T-Mobile ROM 4.01.16 ENG, Radio 6.25.02. I'm plannning to change the Radio to be compatible with Asia-Pacific and in the US (I've been going to Asia and back to the States for business, so I want a device compatible with both Asia-Pacific and US). Thanks
ok I Download the old version on a new phone via OSimagetool to my sd card and put it on my device. working perfectly.
So now I just have to downgrade the radio stack to 3.23.00, where I can find it and how to downgrade?
I download the file here
http://www.t-mobile.at/business/mobiles_arbeiten/MDA/SWupdates/
Looks like it's working, (at least I have the right number at startup)
the only problems that I had it's that rhe rsupgrade was lauch every time I startup, I had to delete the file rsupgrade on startup folder. now it's working like before.
Thanks a lot.
By the way, does it exist a solution in mda to copy contact name to the sim card?

No, it's PPC2002 and the RSU is 3.25 for PW10A devices (900/1800). I know it coz it was on my device before I replace the mother board with a B-type one.
If you are going to use 900 MHs network in Asia you can keep your current RSU ... I have it on my device and my network is 900/1800 ... other than this you better use 2 phones or get a new XDA II

Dealing with the SIM book is a matter of s/w and the device type (XDA or MDA or ... ) has nothing to do with it. You can find many freeware s/w to deal with the SIM entries.
ok thanks a lot, do you just have the name of one of this freeware?

Hello everyone,
I have on order a o2 xda neo, I was told by the salesman that
the manual and os were in english.
I have now found out that the neo is a german version of the
i mate jamin. I feel very stupid.
What does this mean in real life terms? Will it have a german
interface that I can't read? will I have to flash the os?
anyone?
thanks,
Chance
O2 XDA Neo
Hi.
I have O2 XDA Neo too, it's one week now. It's from Germany so everything was completely german. I flashed the RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID.zip from here, it's english version.
But first, try to search for english localization of WM5. I you won't find it then flash the new ROM. The problem is, there is no solution to go back to O2 German ROM nowadays for IPL, SPL version 2.15.0001. You will surely get the new version. But in month or two, there will be tool to unlock the phone to be able to flash lower versions of ROMs. Read the forum, it's priceless source of information.
Thank you Median for your reply, I have heard many horror
stories about flashing ROM,but if I have to I will, So what your saying is
the ROM on the OS is different from the WM5 and that I have to flash both.
I appreciateyou taking the trouble to answer me.
chance
The file is the Dopod's ROM, it's newer version then O2's and includes english WM5. Flashing was abslolutely no problem on my Neo. It takes about 10-15 mins to flash. Some say 30 mins, but for me it was quick. And the best thing you can do when flashing ROM - don't watch it, it doesn't like it. You know, it's intimate time for the device

1) Do you have to CID unlock your Prophet before flashing to the Dopod Rom?
2) What was your SPL / IPL prior to flashing?
3) Does flashing change your SPL / IPL?
4) I have Orange SPV M600 with IPL 2.10.0001 / SPL 2.10.0001 and someone told me that i need to CID unlock first to be able to flash ROMs.
Is this true?
5) Also i do not see the M600 original ROM available for download, how do i go back to orange ROM if need be? Will it be possible if orange made their ROM available for download?
Pls help.
I've just flashed my O2 Neo bought in Germany, ver. 2.09.0001. I used the ROM available in the forum,
RUU_Prophet_2151327_21513121_021921_DOP_ASIA_WWE_Ship-NoVendorID
and it worked FINE. GREAT! I bought the telephone unlocked in Germany from O2, didn't needed to unlock CID. My GSM card from my brazil operator worked fine. Wifi too.
Thanks, I will try the Portuguese ROM now.
I have a question, if I flash the O2 neo to english version, the home-zone function will be lost or not?
It will be Lost but u can install the homezone needed files from the ext.rom afterwards. These Files should be available on the ftp Server.
AND:
I did also upgrade my German O2-XDA NEO to the mentioned Dopod rom - And you can also go back to the (older) Neo Rom later.
I do not know why but it is possible to downgrade from Dopod to the newest O2 rom, maybe because both are 2.15.x.x.?!
Hi All,
I wonder if somebody knows where I can find a rom of Proximus in Belgium.
Hi,
I'm from Belgium also ... why would you like to have that rom? Just install the latest ROM version here available ... I think that's the best ROM you can have ...
Well, I'm also looking for that rom and more specifically for the extrom.
Proximus added some special items in that extrom which I would like to have :
The mobile TV player (and I guess you also need the certificates), a custom version of MMS composer and a cab file which sets all connection settings, etc.
So if anybody has that rom (or ExtRom), please post it here.
Regards,
Bendalf
UP!!
Anybody can HELP with that?
Up I'm really interested in that too...
In fact I want to try upgrade to WM6 but I also want to be able to put the phone back to it's original state.
I don't know if it's really possible cause I have to update all software parts...
The reason is for warranty...
Guys,
Don't know exactly what part of the ext rom you're referring to? I bought a regular Dutch TyTn and have been flashing and reflashing and reflashing again From WM5 to 6 and back again, changing SPL in between and even started a little cooking of my own.
Most of the cooked roms work (very) well, but if you really want to make sure, you need to dump your original rom first before you flash a new one. (read the wiki and all the threads you can find first)
Anyway, I hope you have as much fun as me discovering how to customize your hermes and make it do what you want, how you want it and more important, make it do what you want it to do.
Grtz.
Hi aeroke,
Thank for your answer.
In fact, I'm just waiting to be sure that I can if needed (ie: hardware problem that need warranty) I can restore the phone to the exact original state to avoid any warranty problem.
So tell me if I'm wrong but full original state is:
- original IPL
- original SPL
- original radio rom
- original rom
- original extended rom
For now, I try to find each "original pieces" before upgrading
- for extended rom: I unhide it and simply copy/paste content of "Extended_rom" folder to my computer. Is it the right way ?
- for rom: I find a tutorial on the wiki and I'll follow it this evening, I hope I can do that
- for radio rom, IPL, SPL: for now, I don't know if it's possible to get (by dumping or downloading) the original ones and restore them after
I write all the informations I found in my phone for the original versions, here there are:
HERM200
IPL-1.00
HERM200
SPL-1.04
version ROM: 1.18.256.2
Date ROM: 07/2/06
version Radio: 1.03.03.10
version de Protocole: 32.34.7010.01H
version ROM Extended: 1.18.256.9643
So, as soon I'll be sure that I can roll back to the original state, I'll upgrade to the WM6 schaps version by following the vanx guide.
I found a guide for backing up and restore the TyTN by dumping the ROM just here. But I never found any guide to restore SPL, radio ROM, IPL...
I'll be happy to have any informations about that.
Thank you in advance
Don't worry about the warranty, i bricked my Hermes once (only after that i found out how to do it right ) and it was repaired with no extra costs. So i wouldn't worry to much about it.
Just go ahead and flash that thingy. Btw, the Black Satin (JJ) together with radio 1.47.00.10 works perfectly with Proximus.
Thanks for your response, I'll look about Black Satin.
Just another question, is there any incompatibility with any WM6 and Extended_Rom software provided by Proximus ?
I haven't used any software from Proximus untill now, bought my Hermes with standard WM5 and flipped in my Proximus SIM card. The software you find here on the forums do everything that you can imagine, so there is really no need for special proximus software i guess.
As far as I can tell, the IPLdoesn't change normally, but the SPL does change. Anyway no worries as you can restore your original SPL (I still have the 1.04 somewhere)
The radio rom can always be flashed back with the original duth rom you find here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Upgrades
This rom also reflashes your IPL and SPL back.
As far as compatibility between the WM6 roms and Proximus soft goes, I don't know, but I can't imagne you need more/other soft than you find available right here.
EDIT: This is only my personal opinion, but I think I tried about al the WM6 roms and find the one from Schaps the most stable one, perhaps not the most graphicaly exciting one, but the most stable one.
Grtz
Settings Proximus
Hi, I'm also on Proximus here in Belgium. Has anyone found an Ext_rom yet from this provider? Or maybe any ideas when they will launch their wm6 version?

Hi,
I have one Hermes from their "Proximus Collection" so I have a Proximus Ext ROM on it. I can do a Backup of it and upload it to the xda wiki. (I'll do that this evening if I can).
I don't know if Proximus will provide an upgrade to WM6...
Thanks Genyam for your help.

Would that work with WM6?
I don't know if it works with WM6 but as this is only a set of CAB files, I suppose that they are compatible.
I've already created and uploaded to xda ftp a dump of my ROM.
My infos:
ROM: 1.18.256.2
Date ROM: 07/2/06
Radio: 1.03.03.10
Protocol: 32.34.7010.01H
Extended ROM: 1.18.256.9643
The CID for the Proximus Hermes: QTEK_203
OK thnx, grabbin it right now. Is it French only?
The dump that is already uploaded is for ROM, not Ext_ROM, I'll put my Ext_ROM this evening.
I suppose that it's not french only cause when I hard reset my Hermes it's in Dutch.
yeah thnx i noticed. Np, i'll grab it tonight then.
The Extended Rom is added to this wiki page: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtendedRoms

Hello,
I own original Artemis P3300 from HTC with locked CID, so I'm not able to install other ROM than original from HTC. Today I try to intsall "PDAMobiz_Dopod_P800W_AKU301_v1.1.2_PowerMap" ROM and I leave it. After aprox. 25 minutes I did soft reset and I was very surprised. Despite CID lock new ROM booted. New system is very nice and more more fast than original HTC ROM and has good software base against original HTC ROM. Is it possible over CID lock? Have someone similar experience? It works really and I don't understandt, but I'm very happy. No money lost and cool ROM is on

Sorry about my English, I'm from Czech Republic.
Wow ... that is isteresting. I have also tried several ROMs, as I have Russian on my P3300 and want english, and above all my device is also CID locked.
You sure that yours was locked, cause if so I will also try then to flash this ROM, but few questions:
1. Safe to flash this ROM (as name implies it is for Dopod machines) on HTC Artmeis
2. Does this ROM support GPS.
3. How does it compare to WWE shipped ROM from Artemis

Good evening,
yes my device is CID locked on 200%. When I try to install other ROM, for example "ARTE DOPODAU 1.25.707.02 026990 WWE SHIP" it ends same as before this "experiment" = "BAD VENDOR ID". This ROM from PDAMobiz probably has specific instalator, which go around CID lock. About your questions:
1) Safety I can not declared. It was only experiment, because I won't pay for unlock, it is same mess as Microsoft and his Windows. But I did this "experiment" today aprox. five times and each time was succesful.
2) Yes, this ROM has same equipment as original HTC ROMs and much more extra. GPS and Wi-Fi are full functional. Only one thing droped out. I didn't find MMS editor in outlook, only e-mail and SMS.
3) I use it only one day so far, so I can offer only short-time and subjective opinion. ROM from PDAMobiz is more agile than original ROMs - it's knowable a lot on first click. It is default in WM6 colors and it has extra software integrated. I like for example good system equaliser, opera browser, overclock software or acrobat reader instead of horrible clearvue.
EazyVG, if you try it please tell me if it worked. Thank you!
I also have a locked CID (can't upgrade from Dutch to English rom) and succesfully upgraded to this version. Mine took only 12 minutes probably 'cause I've overclocked it to 273Mhz and started the upgrade.

DID YOU PERFORM ANYTHING SPECIAL IN YOUR UPGRADE PROCESS or DID YOU CARRY IT OUT AS NORMAL.
The powermap version is an .exe file. After connecting it with activesync i just doubleclick on it. Then after 'bout 12 minutes it told me to hard reset the device and then I got the powermap version.
My advance
I download pdamobiz ROM and unpack it by the winrar, after that I connected device to PC and established connection over activesync. Then i run "UpgradeRom_P800W.bat" and left it works.

Can you let me know what are the new features in this rom compared to the old one?
I have the standard dutch T-mobile ROM
Is there someone from Holland that has installed this one? Did it solve some of the problems with being unreachable?
OK, today I decided to flash the Dopod PowerMap 1.1.2 ROM to my HTC Artemis which was supplied with Russian
Official ROM. The phone is CID locked as I was unable to flash any other ROM, but this one did.
I did it on Vista using new Windows Mobile Device Center. Once connected and partnership established, I launched
the .exe file (ROM) and waited for around 15-17 minutes until I saw "Flashed successfully .... do a Hard-Reset".
Waited for another 30 seconds and did hard-reset. Once the screen with option for formatting came up, waited
another 30 sec and pressed the green/call button.
What can I say about this, at last in English, ROM. I am very happy. Some things noticed in first few minutes of
use:
ROM version: 1.28.0.0 WWE [1.12.411.1 RUS]
ROM date: 11/06/06 [9/12/06]
Radio version: 02.67.90 [same as old one]
Protocol version: 4.1.13.28 [same as old]
OS: 5.1.342 (15096.3.0.1) [5.1.342 (15096.3.0.0)]
1. The bootloader screen remains the same!
2. AKU is now 3.01
3. I have around 38.5MB of free storage from 42.55 total (cooool)
4. Adobe Acrobat LE 2 is there instead of pathetic ClearVue PDF plus PowerPoint Mobile (didn't have it before)
5. HTC Apps - HTC Task Manager 1.0, HTC GIF Animation, HTC Audio Manager 1.0 (player), HTC Voice Recorder 1.0,
Media Hub (cool one and integrated with the rest supplied multimedia apps) .... all these were not there with RUS Rom
6. Applications included: GB-Soft Tweak (in settings menu), Opera, Audio Booster, GPS Viewer 1.5, GSFinder+, Jeyo SMS Backup 1.1, NoteM (Voice note recorder), OmapClock 0.2, PHM TrayLaunch, PowerMap G10 (without map), BurnOak Radio Scheduler 01.00.01, TRE 0.90 (registry editor), Voice Speed Dial (Cyberon 1.1 b.507271), vxUtility 1.6.2, WM5torage 1.73
7. Input Methods - Keyboard, Block Recognizer, Letter Recognizer, Transcriber (English Only)
8. Color scheme is of that Crossbow
It is amazing that with all these apps there I have ~38MB free storage memory as I prefer to have critical apps installed in main memery, plus my 1GB for the rest.
The next thing would be to unlock ext_rom and take out what I don't need, like PowerMap G10 and few other apps, to have extra few MBs (if possible).
Compared to my previous shipped ROM this one also feels snappier and cooler. I think I am gonna stick with this
one and wait now for ROM which features higher AKU version, with flashing option without CID unlocking. Running
Crossbow is still what I am dreaming off on this device.
As of now cannot say anything about SD card problem, but WiFi and GPS are working nicely.
IPL, SPL and Radio versions have remained same for me with the old Bootloader screen ---- think it is cause bootloader is locked .... any clues on this issue? Or should I try flashing again but this time with bootloader screen only loaded!
Where to download?
Any other download sites for the 1.1.2 PowerMap rom because the PDAMobiz site is painfully slow?
It is here on xda-dev @

Updated2: There has been an ROM update from HTC itself. See this post.
Hi,
I need to send my Vodafone NLD branded* HTC HD2 in for repairs (see this thread). Problem is I've HSPL'ed it and installed a newer unbranded rom -1.48.404.2 (71294) NLD with radio 2.06.51.07-, still wanted to upgrade to a newer ROM bud didn't bother because everything worked fine and I had to erase everything. 'T was the newest when I got the HD2...
I only did this because the unbranded ROM was stuck at 1.43 (and still is!)
So, does anyone know where I can find the official branded Vodafone NL 1.43 (or newer!) rom so I can restore my SPL with a MicroSD card flash?
Alternatively, does anyone know either:
Another solution/suggestion?
How I can create a goldcard (I won't mind to pay a few bucks) which will restore the SPL and will restore the ROM to a version that has a high/99,9% chance to fool the repair centre?
Know how I can dump a ROM of a HD2? (I couldn't find it anywhere). I might be able to find someone who has a branded Vodafone NL HD2 and didn't "hack" it. I could then dump the rom and use it to flash my device. Ofcourse if that is succesful I'll also make the ROM available for download!
Any help found be appreciated!
* Actually its pretty stupid they branded it, they even promised they wouldn't do it anymore. The only change I could detect was the Vodafone logo and sound that was visible during boot (instead of the normal HTC screen with ROM info etc.)
[edit]
To clarify: this is about a branded Dutch version by Vodafone (NL branch). If you have Vodafone UK or ordered the English version from Vodafone NL (which is exactly the same as the Vodafone UK version) you can use one of these roms:
Vodafone UK Official signed 1.43 (origional ROM)
Vodafone UK Official signed 1.66) (1.66 ROM released on 22 Feb 2010)
Hmm if this is correct I could do what I want with a goldcard right? I would create a goldcard with the official unbranded 1.43 ROM and restore the origional SPL, radio and ROM. Thus the only difference they would notice is the unbranded ROM/OS/Splashscreen, but if I'm correct they mainly check if a HSPL is installed right?

I think this should work. Will it fool Vodafone?
Okay, so I found webpatrick who was willing to dump his ROM
But how do I now make a flashable rom out of it? (e.g. the standard flashable .exe installer or a flashable leoimg.nbh)
I've found some information on how to do it (for thopaz and rhodium), but I can't get it clear enough for me to work.
So to clarify, I would like
1. As close to the origional as possible
2. At least the origional SPL (1.42 I think)
3. Splashscreen would be a pré
3. OS Rom would be fine, but I think it is 100% the same from the official HTC
4. Radio doesn't really matter to me, but to get the origional I would like it
Can anyone help me make it or make it for me?

Ow cmon, with all the ROM builders out there there must be someone who knows?
I see you got started...
Maybe good good to know HSPL2 is out, now it can revert to original SPL, so maybe bepe can help you reverting to NLD Vodafone SPL.
edit: Sorry the release notes say that you can only flash an original SPL using an official ROM.
I saw it, and it's good news. The only thing I'd like is the vodafone splash screen back, which is in te ROM. Otherwise I'm just going to return it saturdat with the SPL reverted to 1.42 through HSPL2

To be honest im glad i got my HD2 before it was officially available in the Netherlands, if i break it, i can send it straight to HTC, also, it didn't have any crappy branding or anything.
Then again i had to pay (quite some) for it, where as you new NLD hd2 users prolly didn't (or only a little)
Great news: HTC has released an upgrade for Vodafone branded HD2's itself
The version is branded 1.72.172.0.
I'm flashing it right now.
