Been doing this for a while with other units and never had a problem before.
but recently i have been given an m600 to work with and want to dump the rom before messing around with it. At present all i get is invalid command when i use d2s.

rom 2.10.1.22 wwe
rom date 2/16/06
radio 02.07.20
protocol 413.1.03

ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS

So I can't! I tried to dump my Jamin, but in romupdate window appear "INVALID COMMAND"! I try "task 32", but...nothing...Any ideas?

Did not find correct flash signature

Hi guys,
Hoping someone can help with this problem. I tried backing up CE+Boot to an SD this evening and then reading it via XDArit. XDArit seems to locate the SD card but when I try and save the images to file I get the following errors:
Failed device: 4
Did not find correct flash signature, aborting!
Any ideas?
My XDA is a PW10A1 running ROM 3.17.03 & Radio 4.21.00
Cheers, Malachi
what matters is your bootloader version. I know of 4 different versions: 5.14, 5.15, 5.17, 5.22.
with 5.17 being the difficult one, you need the wallaby-patch-loader to disable the flash-key protection that it uses.
I have the same problem then I can't backup the Rom image. Anyone can help?
My XDA - PW10A1. CE 3.16.10 CHT (Chinese Rom) and Radio stack 4.21.00

Problems with new MDA2

ok, i just got a new mda2 from t-mobile (460eur for a non-simlocked version is a good deal, i think)...
of course, its in german so i wanted to flash it to english (like i did on my old mda1)...
but...there are some strange things...
of course, model is ph10a, but:
ROM version says 1.03.00 GER (date 09/25/03)
Radio version is 1.05.12
Protocol version is 1337.12
i've tried placing a new rom on a sd card, but cannot get it to boot - i simply cannot get bootloader to start...
and i've tried adaptrom, but that one (once the file signatures are ok) always complains with error: GetDeviceData - Unspeficied error
(if the mda2 is not properly connected, it says so - this error is after the usb connection is perfect)
any suggestions? i'm running out of ideas...

Hello, but I thought some of the users in this forum did unlock without using SD card, may be I am wrong.
One more request what type of SD card XDA takes, either plain SD card or SD/MMC card.
Help appriciated.

for those of you having problems with lockiwiz 3a not unlocking your phone, well i was having the same problem, but not for long because i discoverd what i was doing wrong.
when you download lokiwiz 3a you have 2 things, lockiwiz and a folder called utils, now in the folder utils you will find a file called enablerapi its about 70kb in size, copy this to your MDA vario in the my documents folder, once there run it by tapping on it in my documents on your MDA saying Ok to everything, once youve done that, then and only then try running the lockiwiz application on your main pc making sure your connected via ActiveSync and look for the SIM unlock code in the black command promt box and jot this number down, then put SIM card in thats different from the one you use and switch on, when asked for the unlock code just type in the number you jotted down and bobs your uncle!!! well he was for me thats is.....good luck.
