I have a XDA II and the Outlook Calender is driving me nuts. The dates keep disapearing. they appear still to be on the PDA as the reminder still works and they do transfer to my PC. They just do not appear in outlook at all.
They seem to have dissapeared after I reset the PDA and I do not know how to get them back as there is nothing in options, as far as I can see to switch them on and off.
Please if anyone knows how to remedy this I'd be most greatful.

Hi everyone,
quick question; Has anyone entered repeating appointments in the calendar (ie 3pm everyday) an then deleted the recurring appointment, only to have it appear with an alarm again everyday, even though you specifically deleted it? :?:
I presume the information for the recurring appointment has been filed somewhere in the XDA2 which is making it re-appear everyday. I can even see the appointment reminders in Scarybears "Check Notification" app. I delete them from here too, but after a soft reset they just re-appear again :x
Any ideas on how to remove them permanently?
Many thanks
I have this issue too, has anyone found a solution?
Thanks,
Martin
Have you tried deleting the recurring apointment in Outlook on your PC. This works but you must delete the series.
I sync my Vario on two pcs's: at work using mobile activesync and at home. Somehow I always have all reminders on each pc AND on my device. If I dismiss a reminder on my pda, then sync, I will get the reminder again on my pc. I get very tired of dismissing the same reminders over and over again. Are my settings incorrect?
anyone?
Is Mobile activesync even capable of syncing reminders?
I use a Magician, but I'm also not happy with ActiveSync. Syncing on two PCs often doubles my series appointments. And this *****.
Same problem here (although I sync with only one PC), I get annoying reminders from the PC for passed appointments/tasks that I've dismissed on my phone. I think I should be able to get the Outlook not to remind me, but well, I rather have a few more annoying clicks than to miss any appointments. But it would be great if someone finds a solution to this.
Hi,
I sync with two PC's - Work and Home with no problems at all.
(Active Sync 4.1.0 Build 4841) However - and this may be the difference - I do not use Outlook - I use mNotes to sync with work emails, meeting , contacts etc and use this as the master for all my details. At home I disable all syncing actions and just use it for upadating Pocket Weather, Journal bar and other programs that download from the internet.
I still get reminders etc but only once and only those that are due - it doesn't matter which PC I'm connected too.
Regards,
Chris.
Sometimes I think the not syncing of reminders screws everything up. I don't know how activesync syncs appointments but sometimes I lose appointments. If I change an appointment on my pda and dont sync yet, I will get a reminder on my pc (for the old unchanged appointment). After I dismiss that I think that is registered as a change to the appointment. Since the latest change is now made on my pc, after syncing my old appointment appears on both devices. annoying.
bump. I searched the net and this forum and can't find anything about how to fix this.
So, let's say i use the phone for a a few days, make myself a bunch of reminders and calendar appointments. They all get dismissed, or sometimes postponed then i'll dismiss them.
When i sync the phone through activesync, outlook will pop up all the reminders that are new since the last sync! Is this just shoddy programing? Wouldn't it be simple enough to flag the dismissed reminder to sync to outlooks calendar in the dismissed state? But instead, it acts like it's new and overdue.
Now i heard there's a way to turn off reminders in outlook, but i need those as well. Is there a way to fix this?
nope. i have a wizard and that was happening to me. it was pissing me the hell off. i would close it and it would come back and i think they were multipying. i think what i did wrong was i had yahoo! go syncing my calender, then i had goosync syncing my calender in google, then i had activesync syncing my calender on my computer in outlook. so with all the syncing i think everything got duplicated a bunch of times. so what i did was write down all my dates and then i erased EVERYthing on the calender. then i added back the holidays and all my events that i wrote down. i disabled syncing from goosync and yahoo and it never happened again.
i know what your going through though. i wanted to break my computer during that ordeal. lol

Click to collapse
It may be that you chose to synchronise not all of the Calendar items. And you chose for example not to synchronise, but move items in only one direction.
Check ActiveSync options for Calendar (main window, settings...).
It may give you a clue.
Hey there..
I know I saw the info somewhere on the web a few weeks back, but now that I need it I can't find it anymore
I synced my outlook contacts/calender with the google ones and now I get birthday notifications at around 0:30 in the morning. Does anybody know how to change the time when to get the notification?
thx in advance
I synced my pda with Outlook on PC and the recurrence pattern of birthdays changed to a complete mess. They are correct on the PC but phuked in the cell
Greets all,
Since these forums always helped me out, I figured I would post this for anyone that might have some trouble. I was having trouble where my outlook contacts mysteriously disappeared from my phone, and would not sync again, so after days of searching I found a trick that works and if anyone has issues can try this.
If you use HTC Sync to sync your info and contacts dont sync, go to the people tab, and if you have outlook selected, pull the menu down and select outlook express, once it is done syncing, the go back and change it to outlook and re-sync again, all your outlook contacts will re-sync and will be back on the phone.
Hope this helps anyone that might have had any issues.
its not worked for me
