HI, I have the same problem. I made the same changes and still does not work.
My current config I can use terminal services to connect to my other machines, but when I open internet explorer it says connection was lost and to re connect.
Is this a bug or is there another setting I need to make.
I set both to " My work Network "
Thanks in advance..

USB Internet Connection

Hi,
For some strange reason, I'm unable to connect to the Internet when I have my USB connected to my 8125 to a computer which has internet connection (the computer I'm using right now). It constantly tries to dial the GPRS.
It used to connect to the Internet and never dials to any GPRS. This started happening today. I haven't changed anything at all.
When I open PIE it will load the MSN page but still tries to dial. I try another URL (yahoo) and it will not connect. I believe its displaying the MSN homepage using the temporary files.
Please help!
Try a couple things...
On the PPC go to Start > Settings > Connections Tab > Network Cards > and make sure "The Internet" is chosen for "My network connects to:" and click "Ok"
Next, on your computer, open ActiveSync > File > Connection Settings > and make sure "The Internet" is chosen for "This computer is connected to:" and click "Ok"
(Even if those settings are correct already, still pull down the menus and choose them again, clicking ok afterwards, everyone knows windows likes to accidentally forget settings even when they are still correctly displayed) Reboot the computer and PPC, then try again
If all that fails, then on the PPC go to Start > Settings > Connections Tab > Connections > Advanced Tab > Select Networks > and click "Edit" for whichever connection you have chosen for "Programs that automatically connect to the internet should connect using:" > on the modem tab make sure "auto pick" is selected > on the "proxy settings" tab make sure "this network connects to the internet" is checked > make sure "this network uses a proxy server..." is UNCHECKED > click "Ok" > click "Ok" > click "Ok"
That should do it for ya

Set up proxy & port settings for WLAN

Hello! I have a problem with WLAN. I couldn't find where to set up my proxy and port settings for WLAN. If I go to the start > settings > conections I can't set up a wireless network, just 3g, bluetooth etc. (but there are settings for proxy), but if I go to start > settings > network cards and then tap Add new there are just options that i need exept those two. Help me please!

Where to enter GPRS settings?

Can anybody tell me that from where can we add the GPRS settings link IP, port etc ?
THanks
go to start -> Settings -> Connections -> Connections -> Add a new connection.

Wi-Fi - Proxy Exception List

How is it possible to add an exception in the proxy list.
For example in Windows XP, you go to:
Start -> Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections Tab -> LAN Setting -> Advanced, and you get whats attached.
How do you add this address into an exception on Windows Mobile 6.1 (I'm using a Sony Xperia X1 with IT-Touch v7.1).
Many thanks..

Go to Settings, Connections, Advanced and open the Exceptions list. You can then enter URLs that you don't want to go via a proxy for. This works in conjunction with your current Data Connection or WiFi. The logic seems to be - If you have a WiFi connection active and it is set to 'Connects to: Work' then the URLs will be connected to directly over that WiFi connection. If the WiFi is set to 'Connects to: The Internet' then a VPN connection to your Work will be attempted over the WiFi (assuming you have one defined?). If you have a HSDP/3G/GPRS connection active then a VPN connection will also be attempted but over the active HSDP/3G/GPRS.
The URL list doesn't just work for HTML pages via IE, if any application attempts to locate a host that is in the URL list it follows the same logic as above - unless it has it's own hook-ins to the OS and forces a connection itself.
I have only one entry in my URL list and that is the DNS domain name of my Work network - '*.work.domain/'. This seems to work well for me.
That's my experience of it anyway.

NoData doesn't work

Hi *.
Odd problem, disabling Internet connection [GPRS/HSDPA] doesn't work. I've tried with NoData, HD Tweak and even checked directly registry setting: HKLM/Comm/CommMgr/Providers/{7C....}/Connections/Internet/Enabled is 0. And still somehow Windows connects when some app requires. Any idea what's wrong? It used to work, stopped some time after flashing with newest Dutty's ROM [6.1 based].
p.s.
Settings >> Connections >> Connections >> Advanced >> Select Networks is set to "My ISP"
"
Settings >> Connections >> Connections >> Advanced >> Select Networks is set to "My ISP""
and if you change that programs should not be able to connect to gprs
Change to what? 'My ISP' is already selected. Other options: P4 Data, MMS Networks, P4 Internet [this one should not work], My Work Network.
if you change it to My Work Network
it will only be able to connect to the internet
when you got wifi or is connected to activesync
over usb or bluetooth
Still doesn't work (or works to be exact). Either with "My ISP" or "My Work Network" windows connects with HSDPA (simplest test Weather panel >> Update Now).
I even reload settings with Connections >> Connection Setup and disabled "Internet" once again, still works.
Any other idea why it doesn't respect Enabled = 0?
Not sure if you can do this with you're provider, but you could try to delete the username and password from your internet connection settings. Settings >> Connections >> Connections >> Manage existing connections>> Edit>> and click next until you come upon user name and password. My provider requires that or my data will not work.
or the apn
I knew something has to be wrong. There was another connection (WAP) which was used when I've disabled first one (GPRS).
Sorry for confusion
