Dear All,
I've downloaded (from Vodafone mentioned in this Forum) the Blackberry connect Client (VPA Compact III) and I've installed it on my Tytn (with SIM as Blackberry company service and the Activesync BB on my PC) without any problems.
After the PIN syncronize, when I start the service on my Tytn, it works only for 2/3 seconds after that it goes automatically in NOT CONNECT. I've read the PDF document, and I've done the correct installation and so on ...
Where I worng ???
Is there anybody to use/work with the BB on Tytn ???
Is necessary to install the BB connect on Tytn with the SIM (with the BB serive active) present on Tytn ???
Please help me
Thanks a lot
Best Regards
Ciao, Cesare

During my tests, I've installed more BB connect versions on my Tytn, and it didn't work. Before to install the correct version one (here: http://support.vodafone.de/index_l3_2z.html#vpacompactIII), I've done a hard reset, I've installed the correct BB connect (2.1.2.16), I've installed the BB desktop 2.1 on my PC, I've set the company mail (Blackberry service instead of Internet instant mail), I've sync them and after that it works
P.S.:
I've got a company phone: Blackberry 7100v, and for my test I've installed the company SIM on my Tytn ...

hi
i have also a problem with my mda vario II. it cannot connect register to the blackberry server in our company. i test various files from vodafone and from xda-developers but with no sucess. everytime in the status field stand No Connection. But the gprs connection works fine when i use it with ie or other programs which uses it.
also i tested the sim in my old mda III where it works fine. i also deleted the account on the bes and createt a new one without sucess.
are there any settings that i have to make??
thanks
daniel
That's very strange
Have you tried with a hard reset, and install the correct BB connect :?:
Ciao, Cesare
today i tried it also to connect with blackberry. i made a complete reset of the mda varioII and installed the blackberry client from the vodafone site. but nothing changed, i already get no connection when i want to register to blackberry.
after that i called my provider(t-mobile austria) for help with my problem. there i get the information that there is no BB-client from them at the moment. they also said that my downloaded BB-client from vodafone will never work with my t-mobile device. but when i try this client with my mda pro and mda vario blackberry works perfect without any problems.
is there anybody who have a working mda varioII with a t-mobile rom and BB-client?
Great stuff... Don't normally post but just wanted to let you all know that the Vodafone Blackberry Connect software works a treat on my Dopod 838 Pro with Starhub in Singapore. Real push Lotus Notes e-mail from our company server in Houston.
Thanks a lot ,

Problems conecting to BES
I installed the BBConnect_PocketPC_BB_2.1.2.16 on my TyTN, the ActiveSyncInstaller2.1.1.9 on my desktop, syncronized with the BES, and the status does not show conencted, it says network available for a while and then gets back to not connected. I tried blackberry support, HTC support, Cingular support (which I verified that I have the blackberry connect unlimited plan active) and nothing. Can someone help me please.........
JaimeCS,
I had a similar issue... and found the oddest behaviour.
When I had a UMTS connection - it wouldn't connect at all...the BBC client tried to start a connection, then gave up. After about 3 attempts over a minute, it finally goes back to 'Suspended by User'.
Now, here's the odd part. When I tried this again from the Office, I'm out of UMTS coverage and only get EDGE, this time it connected ! I go back home to UMTS coverage and it fails again.
But now I'm on to the next problem. I get NO EMAIL whatsoever coming down... it just sits there... I've verified the server set up since I got a Blackberry to try it out (god, that HW is ugly).
Let me know if any of this helps ? plus if you get it connected using Cingular !!!
Cheers
Dave
I made work part of the problem, I manually switched the network and the band to GSM in the device, and the status is connected and the messages are not syncronizing with my BES. Blackberry support sais that Cingular needs to active the services. Then, I realized that I have two services from Cingular the unlimited PDA and the blackberry connect unlimited. I used to have the "G" in the screen because of the unlimited PDA plan and not from the blackberry connect. Cingulr removed the PDA unlimited plan from my account, and now I don't have neither internet not blackberry..... does anybody knows which is the correct blackberry plan in USA?
Hi,
Is there a way to get Spb GPRS monitor to work with the wireless modem. If I connect my PC to the Internet through the wireless modem the GPRS monitor doesn't see it as a live connection and therefore doesn't log the traffic.
I was wanting the same thing so I emailed SPB directly about this and they said that this is not supported in the current version. Implying that it might be in future releases and I've asked them if this is true but they've not yet responded (was less than a week ago).
However, there are bandwidth monitors available for your PC. I have one that is free and can be set up to only monitor dial up connections. It's called NetMeter by ReadError and works fine in Vista.
new wireless modem in aku 33 - maybe the old works also???!
Hi, there...
with the new aku 3.3 (test rom) theres an new wireless modem utility inside...
on one hand thats good... on other not so good...
the good side is that it now supports bluetooth...
on other side its not longer an "modem" as it is now... its a LAN-Device thats shared the internet connectivity from the phone with the pc, like an router with inet access!!!
the good thing is that the gprs monitor just looks to the connection... since it is the normal phone mobile internet access...
the bad thin is that it no longer gives you the option trough IR Beam...
but maybe if someone can send ,or put it here online, the old hermes ´wireless modem tool it works also with the aku33???
just search in windows folder for exe and post it here... thanks
steve
^that also means no driver installation in OS of PC is any longer necassry ... ... its one of the good thins..
Hey there,
I've been searching the net and this forum for a long while but did not find anything close. Here's what I have in mind:
I have a mobile plan that allows free calls within the provider network. I have a couple of phones, normal mobiles, but also three HTC devices.
I would like to place one HTC device (WM5 or WM6 with Wifi or via ActiveSync) at home, where it will always stay on and is connected to the Wifi or the internet via ActiveSync. This device contains a SIM CARD and therefore is callable.
Now, when I am out, I'd like to use my other phone and basically dial-up the phone at home for a data connection (DUN). This part should be easy.
The tough part is: How do I get my phone at home to pick up the call, treat it as a data call and route the data through the Wifi or ActiveSync to provide internet over this call/connection.
Anyone done anything like that? Ideas?
Is this wat ur looking for ?

well, thanks for the hint. This would only solve part of the problem, but I am more worried about the modem part.
Now, I've changed the scenario a bit and I think this should be doable, yet I fail to get Vista to setup a incoming connection via Bluetooth modem...
New scenario:
Vista Internet PC connected to HTC WM5 via Bluetooth, Bluetooth Modem detected and useable on PC.
In Win98, I think, I was able to set up an incoming modem connection, so it would pick up automatically and take the call as a data call and route it over the local network. This would be perfect!
In Vista, I don't manage to find this incoming connection option anymore.
Yet, this solution would need a running PC all the time, not perfect. So if anyone has an idea on how to do this solely on a HTC WM5 device, this would be brilliant!
HTC touch pro with metropcs flash and Mighty ROM 6.Browser Opera, weather update all other programs with internet connection works fine and only windows live and skype won't connect saying that some problems with internet connection.Try to use this both in WIFI works pretty good fast sign in and etc. When try to disconnect from WIFI and use only mobile doesnt work again.Tried to make hard reset, reflash ROM still the same.Help please.
Hi guys,
As you all no Wifi dropping is when your phone is connected to the router but not the internet, i.e. you can see the wifi symbol but webpage does not load.
I have got a suggestion: Turn your Laptop into a virtual Router using these softwares. This will work on pre-rooted phones also.
Connectify - http://www.connectify.me/
Paid service but the Lite version fully works on one phone. Havent tried to connect more than one.
Virtual Router - http://virtualrouter.codeplex.com/
Free and open Sourced. This worked perfectly on the first day, but when i put my PC on hibernate, its showing an error everytime I run it. Might work for you.
Maryfi - http://www.maryfi.com/
Free and ad-supported. Was too hard to setup. Iam going to try again some other time.
Note: All of the above works on my Windows 7 Laptop PC, not sure on Desktop PC or Mac.
Let me know here if it works for you. Add some more if I missed any.
