I tried every setting in TOM-TOM and nothing changed. Please help me.

TOMTOM AND GPS
The XDA II comes only with support for BT headsets and ActiveSync through BT. The serial port emulation is also a feature of the Microsoft BT stack but you need a device driver a register port and to handle it

XDAII / Tomtom 3.07 / Aktronix -- Please Help

I recently upgraded my Bluetooth GPS Receiver from a rikaline 6030 to an Aktronix with 16 satellites but i can't make it work with my XDAII and Tomtom 3.07.
I can pair it. But when i start the Tomtom GPS Tracker, it can't seem to connect to the Aktronix GPS Receiver.
Any Help will be greatly appreciated
Which port are you using for the gps? Did you accept serial profile when gps was being bonded. Try choosing tomtom wireless gps and bt gps in the bottom box.
I tried to use com 1 port, but xda issued an error saying that com 1 doesn't exist. I then tried 4, 5, 7, 9 to no avail. I tried selecting tomtom wireless gps and bt gps but it still failed to work although that's the setting i used for the rikaline 6030.
The aktronix uses nmea chipset and the manual tells me to use it as an spp slave but xda doesn't have that option. I also tried installing pocket Bluetooth tools but when i tried to pair the aktronix GPS, there's no port number in the serial option. It just has a blank field...
Hopefully you guys can help me sort this out
Try the following under the GPS section (2nd page where the world map is).
Top dropdown = NMEA 0183 v2 Bluetooth
Bottom dropdown = Blue tooth Serial Port COM6
Make sure the box is "ticked"
Also, switch on Bluetooth, go into bluetooth setting, select service, highlight serial port and make sure there is a tick in the Enable service box.

I've selected NMEA 0183 v2 Bluetooth and Com 6. But when i went to bluetooth settings, i can't see service on it. All i can see are:
================================
Bluetooth Beam Authentication
Authentication Required
Bluetooth ActiveSync Setup
Press start button...
Bluetooth Serial Port Setup:
Inbound COM port: COM4
Outbound COM port: COM5
================================
Is this the service that you're talking about? If not, where can i find this service thing that i need to highlight.
ROM Version 1.72.00WWE
Radio Version 1.17.00
ExtRom version 1.72.187
Looking at those setting you should be choosing com 5 for your gps. It should also work by choosing tomtom wireless in the top box and bt gps in the lower box in tomtom gps settings. Try removing the gps from your bonded items, reset the xda then rebond, it should offer to act as serial port profile, answer yes to this.
I also tried installing pocket Bluetooth tools but when i tried to pair the aktronix GPS, there's no port number in the serial option. It just has a blank field...

This is the same problem for me, but with a Royaltek RBT-1000, XDA II and Pocket Bluetooth Tools installed...
Any solution?
Well, I have a similar condition.
O2 XDA II, AA Navigator and Fortuna Clip-On Bluetooth GPS.
It has worked before with TomTom, it STILL works with Microsoft Pocket Streets - you start it and it shows the GPS data.
AA Navigator automatically detects the device, setting the data to COM5 (which seems right to me - Outbound port which means the XDAII initiates the link) and speed to 4800. This is the same setting which is used by (working) Microsoft Pocket Streets, so I'm pretty much confident that the port would be COM5.
Yet when I confirm this, it still says <unplugged/setup wrong>... and the blue LED on Clip-on does not pulsate just like it does when there is the reception with other working software...
Wrote e-mail to AA support (I'm no fool to ring £1 / minute support line...) and waiting the answer... not going to resort back to TomTom...

Bluetooth GPS COM Port problem

Hi, I have a brand new XDA Mini, but with Qtek S100 WWE Rom 1.12, and I bought a Bluetooth GPS, Xaiox NAVOne 2.0...
Bluetooth manager can see the gps without problems, but my Medion2004 Navigation Software says, no GPS is avaiable.
I've already read in the users manual, that GPS needs Com8.
As I see in Start -- Settings -- System -- Bluetooth settings, xda mini has Com5 for outbond port, and Com4 for inbound port.
How can I change ? No program is running, if I check.
Please, help me, thanks.
Nobody has a good idea ? I have already tried the Pocket Bluetooth Tools, it can give a solution, to change COM port 5 to COM port 8, my bluetooth gps requires this port.
BUT, this screenshot appears only a small moment (0,1sec) when I install NAVone2.0 gps...
I installed this gps 100 times, everything is the same.
Can you suggest me another bluetooth tools application?
The problem is simple, to change COM 5 to COM 8.
Thanks in advance.
You could try installing gpsgate from franson

change software!
I think you should try change software. I have tomtom 5 to my s100 and it works just fine..

Jasjar and GPS Serial Connection

I am having difficulties connecting the Jasjar with my GPS TELETYPE on BT.
The com ports are really confusing me. I am using Destinator 3, and after I have paired the GPS device, and have selected a serial port connection, Destinator can’t find a GPS receiver.
Have anyone successfully connect a BT GPS with Jasjar?

Hi, geovass.
Did you see the prompt that the device supports Serial Port Profile? If not did you try to delete the paired GPS and try to re-pair again?

I have done the pairing twice already. No, i dont get a prompt that the device supports Serial Port Profile.
I've got it working.....
First you've got to pair your GPS.
Then go to the "COM" tab in the bluetooth manager
Add a new outgoing port with the GPS as device
Then install you're navigation software !!!
It works fine in combination with the Jasjar, Emtac GPS and TomTom Navigator 5.1

I have done what you've describe, without installing the GPS SW (destinator) second. Do you think this is the case.
I can never match the com ports i use on the outgoing port and on the Navigaton software. The ports cant be the same...
It seems that i cant select any com ports on the outgoing port except from port0 and port8.
If i select one of those 2, i dont see them in Destinator's GPS settings tab.
Just used a hex editor to change the port manualy in Destinator.ini and it worked like charm !
I have the same issue. I can only connect com 0, 4 or 8 to my Emtac but TomTom5 only shows 6 and 7...
Anyboby who can help?

Me too have had the universal for a week now tried reg hacks utils etc cant get it to use com 0 4 8 evean if enable wm2005 GPS to remap ports ...
same port with bluetooth com ports for syncing
I have encountered the same problem as u, but while trying to get bluetooth connection to sync with PC... so far no luck...
I know the trick is to select COM5 for the Outgoing Port in your GPS, and then, somehow, make TT5 show the COM5. In order to do that, some hacking must be done at the registry which I have no idea how to do that.

I have a slightly older model of the same bluetooth GPS as you (Leadtek 9537) - and can confirm that it works great with TomTom 5.10 on mine.
There is a long thread in this very forum about getting TomTom to 'see' bluetooth GPS receivers in Windows Mobile 5, I just followed the instructions in that thread and it worked a treat.
I have looked thru the forum about this topic and i have found a lot of useful information.. only problem is.. its the reciever and xda that i am findin hard to connect with each other not with tom tom..
Do you get the message "serial port device" etc and answer yes to the prompt?
Yeps.. i select the serial port check box and then the options on that are on screen are cancel, save and refresh.. so i press on save..
thats the end of it.. =S a partnership is created but no connection????
selectt the comport com 8 then save the settings
COM port 8 selected for new outgoing port.. nothings changed.. then i...

Blusoleil Bluetooth Syncronization Problem

Hi, All. For a couple of days now I am trying to synchronize my O2 Neo with my PC per bluetooth. I am using a cheap bluetooth dongle, which comes with BlueSoleil software. When the devices find each other, the Prothet only recognizes a Serial Port connection. Than I assign outgoing port on the Prophet (I think COM6), I include COM 6 in the ActiveSync (4.2 by the way) settings and map COM6 to my prophet in the Bluesoleil settings. When I refresh the services on my Prophet I can again only see the Serial port connection. Can someone give a hint?
