I have no issue updating. I just don't know what to do.
I downloaded and will run the file. I will take a closer look.
PS: WICKED FIND! I was starting to think that it was lost to us.

Connected the phone via activesync and copied the file to my pc. Then I can edit with notepad by right click - open with etc. If that's not working for you drag the file and drop it onto a notepad icon

I do not know how to do that, but I managed to map hardware button to slide.exe. To do that you have to create a link to it (for example to programs folder). Then you can map this link via Settings >> Buttons. Only issue I am having is that the time is lagging two hours on Slider screen.

Just a guess - I don't have the application installed and haven't had that program but your phone has to clock settings Home -> Visting. Maybe your phone is accidentally set to Visiting clock and the home clock is off by a bit and the applications are pulling the time from the Home clock? It's a shot in the dark guess but worth a shot!
Well

Thanks for the reply that was actually the first thing that i checked when i noticed the problem
Clock Off
Best guess I can give is that the time isn't being adjusted for time zone. Mine is 5 hours ahead and I am in US Central time zone (GMT -6) so it is close to Greenwich mean time.
I would try to fix this myself since the source is provided but I need a developers kit and a compiler...
Edited:
Actually if I remember correctly (big IF) daylight savings time is a US thing so with DST right now that would put the offset right at GMT.
anybody figure out how to fix the timing issue
Hi!
Is there an app, which monitors the clipboard? I was reading a large text and found it really annoying to copy an important part, switch to word and paste it, then back to reading and the hole thing all over again...
I am thinking of an app, that creates a list of what has been copied automaticly. Does anybody know something like that?

Hi, thanks. I installed it but couldnt figure out how to get it to work. I cant even find an *.exe
Could You help me with this?
I know JMZ made an awesome lockscreen changer (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523812) but it isn't playing nice with my setup and keeps crashing so after trying it long enough, I've given up on the app.
Can someone tell me how to manually change the lockscreen image? Where do I place my image/name it and what resolution, etc should it be? Thanks.
go to Start>Settings>Today. at the bottom. place a check inside the box. andmap the background you want to use.

The Program he used makes the cab makes the image a manila file. I would suggest ask the OP for the original image.

Sorry, but this doesn't work to map the grey background of the lock screen...
If it works for others... please tell us how.. thanx
Alternative method
Hi all
An alternative method is to create an image file you want to use for your today and lock screen background. The format is .jpg. The portrait should be named:
stwater_480_800.jpg
and the Landscape named:
stwater_800_480.jpg
Copy these to a convenient folder on your device, e.g. My Documents. Then, using a more powerful file manager, e.g Total Commander, copy them to your \Windows folder, overwriting if prompted.
Cheers

Home Screen/Lock Screen Merge?
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if you can set the home background image (in TF3D2) and the image for the lockscreen simultaneously? In other words, can you update both images at once (preferably by selecting it from the "Settings" tab in TF3D2)? Is there a .CAB of some sort? ANY help would be appreciated. ANY help at all!
Thanks a bunch!

Folks, the hidden menu under the Dell EM app has been cracked open. Here is how to get to it. Its still stupid of Dell to have a convoluted way to get get to it.
1. GO to EM app on your DVP (dial ##634# - if u haven't done so to make the app appear under apps)
2. Open physical keypad
3. Double tap the blank dark area of the screen (below the MMS settings)
4. On the physical keyboard, press each of the first row buttons (qwertyuiop)
5. This should open up the advanced menu.
Same password to get to the RD Test and Protocol - *#6336#
Be careful when using the Chinese language menu's. It will make the app language as Chinese. You can always exit and come back to the app.
New features:
Nothing much except one important feature - File Browser (Windows Explorer)
Registry Editor - still doesn't work for writing and only good for reading.
How to Get to File Browser:
1. Go to RD Test. In the input box type *#6336#
This will open up RD test page.
2. Scroll to the bottom and click About EM. This will open up SORRY APPLICATION.
3. In the empty input box, type 983. This will open up the file browser.
The Explorer is so slow and might crash the app.
Note:The above steps only works for the DVP's that have the new EM App and updated FW version - 2250.1800.7355.205 and beyond or close to that.
If you try to load the new EM App in the current DVP's, it will not work for the new features.

Does any of this allow the DVP to backup SMS, for example if they are stored in a data file?

Built-in file explorer
Thanks for the info on the built-in file explorer.
One thing I have noticed is it shows more files and directories than other methods of looking at the files (like using the web server app).
I can see files in the root as well as many other directories.
For example, when I open the file explorer I see:
Storage Card\
Windows\
Temp\
Application Data\
mxip_notify.vol
Applications\
mxip_system.vol
My Documents\
Program Files\
Wallpapers\
DOCFILE\
and more...
I am not sure that it is helpful, but it is different.

Is there a way to permanetly change the touch sensitivity of the phone or will it always reset to the default of 40 after a power cycle?

Anyway.. any idea if the NEW firmware update coming soon, is going to be NEW to us as well ? Camera still isnt fixed, and radio seems worse than old phone.
I'm pretty new to the whole putting new things on / modifying my phone so typically it went wrong the first time round...
On the advice of a website I installed a 'cool' battery monitor onto my HTC HD Mini by downloading 'VistaHide Battery Gauge' and adding the .exe file into the startup. Problem is, it's not so cool.
The phone won't allow me to delete the file from the startup menu, so what I want to know is how do you get rid of it? I've seen programs on the web you can download, but you have to pay, which seems a bit much.
Any help would be appreciated, it looks awful. Also, can anyone recommend a real 'cool' battery gauge to replace this one?

Try to reinstall the same file and you'll see that there more to that program is restarted, so I always do when I can not uninstall programs.
And the only solution.
