How to send files via Bluetooth? - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

I have paired my QTek 9100 with my Mac and other devices, but how the heck do I send a file over to another device? I can receive files from these devices, but I find no option anywhere to send via bluetooth. I have created outgoing and ingoing ports too, but no new menu options appear on the file manager! How is this supposed to work on Windows Mobile 5 AKU2?

Follow the option to BEAM via Infrared, while it's searching it'll search bluetooth as well.

how to send files from xda mini to other mobile by bluetooth

how to send files from xda mini to other mobile by bluetooth ?
pls tell me in details !
thanks !
This is how I did it a few days ago:
* Pair the phones (pretty sure that I didn't have to pair with a Nokia 6600, but it wouldn't work without pairing when I tried vs a Magician)
* Start File Explorer and find the file you want to send
* Point and hold so that you'll get the menu
* Choose 'Beam File...'
* Wait until it automatically discovers the other device and sends the file
what do you mean 'pair the phones' ??
I just want to send files from my o2 mini to another bluetooth phone...
And how to 'pair the phones' ?
Start/Settings/Connections/Bluetooth/Devices/New...
Does this work on a XDAiis (blue angel)
I've been trying to send files from my XDA IIs to my new phone, but I cant seem to find an option anywhere to send files by bluetooth!
I can pair the phones alright, but then it only seems possible to send a business card!
I can send files by e-mail or MMS
I can beam files by infrared but there is no option for bluetooth!
Does anyone know how to send files (photos & music) from an XDA IIs to a phone (Samsung d500)
please help!
Thanks

Nope - nothing
it just doesnt seem to recognise the bluetooth connection - just says "searching".
I have managed to send files via the Bluetooth Manager "browse files" options, although that keeps losing the connection, is unable to re-establish again.
I think it must be a problem with the Blue Angel.
Thanks for your help!

Missing Bluetooth file trasnfer in WM2005 JASJAR

File Explorer does not support Bluetooth file trasnfer , I am using JAS/JAR running WM2005. AM I missing something?
there is a registry change you can make to add support for this - see http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry under To change the ability to receive files via Bluetooth (OBEX)
i've not tried this myself, though!
If you don't mind spending on 3rd party software then Resco File Explorer may be your best set and they now have a WM5 compatible version.
Likewise to transfer from your PC to the phone your windows PC file explorer should manage it provided your device is paired. But don't forget to turn on the bluetooth on the device and also the "accept all incoming beams" as this is often confused as being mandatory for IR transfers only.
Kind Regards
access is denied
when i try to change values it give me error of access is denied, can anybody help me
failed
followed all the changes mentioned in this post and try to send a file to my PC. It recognizes my PC but when i click on tap to send...it tries for a few seconds and then gives a status saying failed
I think it is at your PC end, and I have had similar problems depending on the bluetooth setup that I had on the pc, I could activesync on bluetooth, but not send files, yet on an alternative machine I could do both. They were running different bluetooth dongles and thus settings and drivers.

Bluetooth trouble

Hello,
I have been able to send easily via bluetooth, however i am having problems sending.
I have made partnerships, set myself as discoverable, turned bluetooth on (of course), used pass keys and friends phones says 'connection failed'
Any ideas? (O2 Exec)
Sama problem here
bye
nicoska
I have also had similar problems and found that not all phones, even if blue tooth enabled, are send receive enabled eg my my wifes samsung phone can send to me, but my jasjar has difficulty sending to her....
The friends phone would need to have switched on the "accept incoming beams" also setting, which isnt necessarily part of the partnership setting, but in the bluetooth settings itself as this enables OBEX as compared to say activesync, or headset features to allow file trfr's.
There is sometimes and OBEX setting somewhere that switches the file trfr setting on or off. I assume that you have done the obvious "accept all incoming beams" on your phone... not that you are accepting but sending.
Hi
Go to Settings, connections, then select Beams, check the box for Allow all incoming beams...
i did it but having the same problem. I'm using a JasJar.

I am too using Jasjar and i am able to do so...pls check yr settings again
I'm using Dopod 900 and having the same problem too...
I'm using SPV M5000 French and having the same problem too...
i have an m5000. With the Resco-Explorer i can send files via Bluetooth ti my ipaq h 4150, but i can't send files from the ipaq to the htc universal....
I had the same problem, not being able to send files to others. I was using Resco File Explorer, then I tried the built in File Explorer and it worked like a dream.

I can't receive anything from anyone via Bluetooth, I think it might be something to do with OBEX (whatever that might be  ) does anyone know how to fix this?

Can the default File Explorer send file using bluetooth? How?
RE
OK,
Finally, I manged to send/receive file to and from my QTEK 9000 and my notebook using bluetooth and default File Explorer
Did you change any settings?
RE
On my PPC side I turned on "Receive all incoming beams". My PPC only shows Incoming Port (COM0)
What I did for my notebook is to add Incoming (COM5) and Outgoing (COM7) COM Ports
For sending file from my notebook to my PPC I just select "Send a File" and then select the file to be sent
For sending a file from my PPC to my notebook I select "Receive a File" from my notebook and then selct the file to send from my PPC and send over using bluetooth
i couldnt get my pro to recieve a file via bt...had to download it via the web
RE
Tested sending/receiving file with my QTEK 9000 and SE 700i handphone
No problem at all
Mine just won't receive anything from anyone :x

Have you checked to make sure that your PPC and the sender's device must be visible to one another ie. they must be make discoverable?

Need Help with Bluetooth connection between 8525 and Nokia 7370

Here is the situation. Im trying to transfer some files From my nokia 7370 to my AT&T 8525. I am able to pair the devices, but when I try to send files, the nokia says the connection failed.
When I try to send files from my 8525 to the Nokia, it works. The other way doesnt work. I tried the same procedure with a Sony Ericsson phone and I was again able to pair, but was not able to send from the SE phone.
Can someone help?
Is OBEX enabled?
Without OBEX you can't send files
use a configuration manager, such as HTweakC or HTCustom to enable OBEX
Then find a file and send or beam as if you were using infra-red, but enabled bluetooth devices nearby should also be discovered and select them
Here's a link to DiStefano's very good *.cab collection, you can find many such applications there:

How to share multimedia on 8525 via Bluetooth?

I have tried to pair two different cell phones to the 8525 via Bluetooth in the past 2 days.
When I attempt to Bluetooth connect from my [Samsung] A707 Sync, it finds the 8525 . . . but when I try to choose "Select," the Sync tells me:
"Not Available
Delete Paired Device"
On the HTC 8525, it finds the Sync and gives me the services available of:
a) Serial Port
b) Dialup Networking
I can't seem to find a way to copy the Bluetooth-capable pictures and ringtones that I want onto the 8525.
What am I missing? It seems that the 8525 doesn't like to take multimedia files from other Bluetooth phones! What should I do to get the 8525 to pair up to share pix/vid/songs/ringtones with other phones (not meaning using the 8525 as an internet sharing device)?
Make sure the 8525 is visible and then send th file to it. It should come up with the option to accept or reject file.
To send use a file explorer. Hold down stylus on file you want to send. This will give you a pulldown menu which you can choose to beam file. Choose bluetooth, do search and select target bluetooth device...
Cheers...
On a specific [Bluetooth-capable] ringtone, I went under Options with my Samsung A707 Sync mobile phone. It says 'Send via' > 'Bluetooth'. However, my 8525 isn't in the paired devices list, so it attempts to find the 8525 (which is set as visible and the Bluetooth is active). It locates the 8525, but then the Sync displays the message:
"Not Available
Delete Paired Device"
Bloody 8525! Jeers to it!
What about sending the other way?
On the HTC 8525, it finds the Sync and gives me the services available of:
a) Serial Port
b) Dialup Networking
I can beam a picture successfully to the Sync, but when I try to send it from the Sync it returns the message in the prior post.
