There is anyway to mute the sound when clicking in the start menu without muting all the system and notificattions sound?
May be a registry trick?
hi hmgr,
To mute the clicking sound you just downlaod the file below and extract it, inside there 2 files.
1) Copy anywhere into your 818 Pro via Activesync.
2) Use your 818 Pro's file explorer Select and Copy the 2 files.
3) Go to /Windows folder inside your 818 Pro, and Paste the 2 files. It will prompt you if you wish to overwrite the existing file, choose "Yes"
4) Do a soft reset. Done.
Hope this will help.
cool! it worked, thank you!

Hello,
I installed Morphgear on my atom and it messed up my .zip handling, how do i change it back to the internal zip? Ive looked around in the registry, but i dont know what to change it back to. Any help apreciated, thx.

Resco explorer.
long tap on ZIP file ->Open->open with->choose program+check box "always use this program"
Hehe, i know that one, i meant, when you tap a zip file (like with the original file explorer) a window pops up and asks you if you wish to extract the contents. Right now, with morphgear it tries to load the zip file, and resco just opens them to browse on. I need to get it back to the 'original' setting as with file explorer.

Download this cab and install it in the /windows directory of your device. now change the keys through-start-settings.

i drug that over to my storage card and clicked on it and rec'd an error.
ok - i drug the file to the windows directory and rebooted. i still don't see any plac in settings to change this.
I got an 'unexpected end of' error with that RAR file.
Anyway try this file attached.
Extract SoftKeyAppletEx.cpl from the ZIP and place it into your Windows directory.
Make sure you can view system files otherwise the .cpl file will be hidden.
Soft reset is needed and then just go to Start > Settings > Soft Key
And it all works fine.
thanks alot athiqueahmed - it worked perfectly.
thanks, worked well...
Hi,
I've got a Treo Pro on Three in the UK.
The center button doesn't light up when I have a voicemail waiting because Three sends an SMS to notify you instead of the icon coming on.
I've been able to get the light to come on by changing the registry value
"HKCU\System\State\Messages\vmail\Total\Unread\Count" to 1
What I'm looking for is a hack to make it so the center buton flashes when you have an unread SMS message. Does anyone know of one?
It would seem pretty easy to make one because all you need to do is change that registry value to make the light come one.
Anthony
this one is useful
Installation:
1. Unzip the zip. It will create a folder called My Beacon with the 3 files above.
2. Create a folder on your Treo Pro called My Beacon in Program Files or if downloaded directly extract the zip in the Program Files directory (or another if you want)
3. Transfer the files from your machine to the Treo in that directory.
4. In a file explorer, navigate to the My Beacon directory. If you do not have any other mortscript apps, click the Mortscript.exe file to register it's file association with .mscr files. If you are already using a mortscript app, this shouldn't be necessary
5. Click mybeacon.mscr and go

it may take a while in the begining but its worth
When i click on mybeacon.mscr, nothing happens. Some idea?
*i already have the mortscript instaled for the Ebag RealVGA

I want to make a short cut to bluetooth icon that is located in settings folder.
Any idea how can I do that? Being able to put it in to manilla screen short cut would be superb.
Bluetooth shortcut
Hi!
First install the attached cab file.
Then add it as a shortcut.

I have it but that is not it it only enables and disabled bluetooth. I want to be able to go to full BT settings that you can access from settings menu.
Shortcut to BT
the file is called BTManager.exe and is located in the windows folder, you can just make a shortcut to this file.

In case you don't know how, locate the file in file explorer and do Menu, Edit, Copy (or long-hold on the file and select Copy), then go to \Windows\Start Menu\Programs and do Menu, Edit, Paste shortcut.

Yep I see that now however I have already made shortcut to actual cpl file. Thx guys.
Sorry for misunderstanding.
I was interested to do this also, and tried to follow this old post:
since I still cannot post links, Google this:
Q: How can I create a shortcut to a program in settings?
It seems that it cannot be applied to Winmo 6.5, but it may be a lead to someone who knows how to adjust it to new Windows...
Edit: oops, didn't see the above replays...
If you just copy short cuts to settings folder they will appear in settings/system folder after soft reset
Hi all, I'm a noob to the Hd2 and liking it very much, certainly beats my old Nokia n95. I'm trying to do these 2 things listed below:
Enable Hidden Default Games
Go to the Windows directory and copy bubblebreaker.exe and solitaire.exe to the games folder in Windows\Start Menu. Make sure to unhide system files
and
Enable NaviPanel Without Owning the Car Kit/Navigation Dock
Go to Windows folder and copy NaviPanel.exe as a shortcut to Windows\Start Menu folder.
I've hooked the phone upto the computer using sync and got show all files/folders hidden and system, and have found all 3 exe files, but after i have right clicked on them and copied them, when i go to paste them into the windows\start menu folder, I get an error and it won't let me put anything in there.
Is there a setting i am missing somewhere?
I'm on T-Mobile in the U.K and with stock rom.
Thanks in advance for any reply and help
+++ Bump +++
do it from within the phone, not from the pc.

cheers for that.
how did you find the hidden files? I, for the life of me, cant figure it out. I have resco explorer btw.
