Truefax on XDA II - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

I have truefax 2.08 on my XDA II. It sends coversheets OK. If I attatch a 300dpi tiff file made by microsoft imaging, it comes out at the other end on 2 sheets, looking really bad.....any ideas?

Visual Studio.NET 2003 - Developing for XDA II (screen size)

Hi,
I am in the process of converting some of my Pocket PC 2002 apps to Pocket PC 2003 and I noticed the applications appear in the wrong place for the XDA II.
I have worked out the XDA II screen is a different size to my Dell Axim device, does anyone know what the exact screen size is (in pixels) for the XDA II please?
*I recommend Visual Stdio.NET 2003 to anyone who is thinking of developing applications for the XDA II device, VS.NET 2003 is very easy to use and you can have an application up and running within an hour*
Cheers,
Taz
and better yet with 2005 which is still beta
you can also program to the pda's without
.net if you dont want to something which you
need eMbedded visual studio to do today

Developing Apps for my O2 XDA IIs (Blue Angel)

I've just aquired an Blue Angel O2 XDA IIs, as an .net programmer i've had experience of w32 applications, but not PPC.
Can anyone point me in the direction to create applications that will access features such as my wireless/bluetooth/phone/sms.
Any documentation/examples etc.
Kind regards
Gav
MSDN, eVC or VS2005beta2 samples.
To program BT you'll need Widcomm SDK that is about 1600$ and there is no free or stolen versions in net.
well i'm using vs.net 2003 Enterprise...
Just some samples really. Especially for the phone side of things. I purchased this to continue my experience in .net development.
i've got vs2005 beta 2.0 dvd from ms, but don't really like using it. I prefere using 2003.
Cheers

Will my PPC software run under WM2005 on the XDA Exec?

Hello,
I am considering getting myself a XDA Exec. At the moment I use a handheld with Windows Mobile 2002/2003 for Pocket PC, and it is packed full of software- utils, aps and games.
I am concerned that if I were to get a XDA Exec I will miss much of the lovely software. Or does the PPC software run under WM2005?
In fact does the XDA Exec run WM2005 for PPC or for Mobiles?
Sorry if I seem extremely ignorant ;o)
Cheers
WM2005 = Windows Mobile 2005.
WM2003se (the last Pocket PC version) was rename to WM2003, so it is also Windows Mobile.
WM2003 and older Pocket PC software should generally be compatible, you'll be unlucky if it doesn't run. But some sofware, particularly system software like Today plugins, often have problems. But the majority of software should be fine.

Please help, i have XDA MINI that looks like S100

Hello!
I have a question, my PPC seems to be S100 but on it says XDA MINI and i remember that S100 is XDA II MINI, on the BOX it is writen XDA MINI, on the sticker with the serial no. XDA MINI, on the Licenced CD form Microsoft that contains the ROM XDA MINI, no XDA II MINI, could i install WM5 or WM6 on it or is the same with a S100????? If it is possible to put WM5 or WM6 on it please point me to the rom, pls, pls, pls.
Thank's !!!
Here is a photo with the PPC http://blog.jbbr.net/wp-content/o2_xda_mini.jpg
Your device looks exactly like mine: i-mate JAM a.k.a. Magician.
AFAIK, you can't install WM5 or 6 on this device.
I guess your right, but what i did noticed is that the Microsoft CD from a XDA II MINI has XDA II MINI written on it and mine just XDA MINI, still no WM5 or WM6 ROM for XDA MINI, but i downloaded wisbar advanced and wisbar desktop that make WM 2003 look like WM6 and i don't like it , i think i just got used with the old WM 2003. I enen got pointUI and still i prefere the WM 2003 theme.

Need help to support the HTC phones that use NBF roms in OsKitchen

I need some help to add support for NBF files that seems to be used in the following phones:
HTC Wallaby: MDA, XDA, 1010
HTC Alpine: PDA2, XDA IIi, 2020i
HTC Wizard: 8125, K-JAM, P3400, MDA Vario
HTC Universal: JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro
HTC Prophet: JAMin, XDA Neo, S200
HTC Atom: iPAQ rw6828, XDA Atom
HTC Blue Angel: MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090
HTC Himalaya & Andes: MDA II, XDA II, 2060
HTC Magician: JAM, MDA Compact, S100
HTC Apache: XV6700, PPC-6700
HTC Charmer: MDA Compact II
I need to know if there is any tool that can unpack and recreate NBF properly for all of those phones (if it's really needed I can have the kitchen ask for the password) and one that can unpack and recreate the extended ROM both of which supporting commandline parameters.
I have found HTC64 that seems to work well on most ROMs but appears to have no command line parameters and xda3nbftool that doesn't seem to work properly with all the phones. I also wanted to know if the XOR "password" is the same used in the MD5 encryption in these phones.
Thanks in advance for any help/suggestion.
perl typhoonnbfdecode.pl should work with command line parameters for the following, but I could not get it to work for my Wizard.
alpine
himalaya
harrier
blueangel
magician
typhoon (Wizard)
tornado
universal
charmer
prodigy
apache
nasa
vivida
diamond
I asked itsme for help and he was working on getting it to work on the Wizard, but I have not heard from him for a while. I am sure it is low on his priorities with family and work, but I hope to hear something.
I dunno if you already read this for Universal ,but just in case you didnt http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5020947&postcount=4 ,basically a list of Kitchens, maybe you can understand something here.

Sounds interesting but can that tool be wrapped/compiled or does it need all the activeperl suite installed? The xda3 tool I listed should work fine with the wizard I think.

Thanks, I'll take a look. For now the kitchens I have seen come preconfigured to dump ROMs for single devices, come with no importing function at all or can only import unencrypted ROMs.

I have been working on getting just enough of the perl components to work on a machine that does not have perl installed. It is all command line with parameters. The advantage over xda3tool is it will allow putting multiple nb files into the nbf so I should be able to create an nbf with os, extROM, radio, splash, etc. But, as I said, I have not gotten it to work for me on my Wizard and itsme is looking into it.
