Does anyone know when T-mobile UK are releasing there update ? I've been phoning T-mobile for the answer without any luck.
Almost everyone else has released the Update (Qtek / O2 etc.), but T-mobile still can't manage to release it.
I saw on the T-Mobile website a while ago that the next update was scheduled for March 2006. I guess that has come and gone now.
Anyone got the URL for the T-Mobile download page?
I emailed them for this info last week, and had a phone call from them informing me that they will be releasing it "next week" on their download site:

So that would be this week if they were being honest..

I'm still on Rom 1.3.2.2 (9/29/05) and was planning to spend this weekend trying out alternative ROMs but now I think it worth holding my breath a little longer for the official release.

My Hermes has died on me (long story; it's not recoverable without a $600 USD new system board)...
My question is... should I wait for "the next thing" from HTC, or should I get another TyTN/Hermes. I loved my phone, and would love to have another one, but the Hermes has been out for almost a year now, and I assume HTC is about to start releasing new phones.
The Trinity is a nice phone ... other than not having a keyboard (wtf?).
Basically -- anyone know if the "next generation" TyTN is coming out soon, with a faster CPU and *prays* GPS?
I don't want to wait too long - I've fallen back to my Motorola L6, and everytime I look at it I feel like I'm going to cry.

Oh wow.. *drools* That's a beautiful phone. Interesting how they got rid of the slider, too.
My problem will be having the patience to wait until June-July. :-D
Of course, I waited five months for the TyTN to become available here in the US, so I guess I can wait three months for the Kaiser.

I really want this phone. GPS + 3g = say goodbye to my Wizard.
Question is - the estimated US release date is June 2007. For those of you who have followed HTC for a while - how accurate do you think this is? Will it be available unlocked online before I can buy it from Cingular? How long will it take for Cingular to start selling it after it is officially released? (Assuming they're planning to sell it at all)

I'm pretty sure Cingular will have it, because they've been testing HSUPA over the past few months -- and the Kaiser is one of the first (and only) ones that has been announced that will have it. It will probably end up replacing the 8525.
Going by the Hermes/TyTN schedule... the TyTN was announced to be released in June 2006. It didn't show up in the US until August, but those were imported models. A lot of the early models had some big problems (screen, keyboard, etc). They really started to roll into the US in October.
Cingular started testing the 8525 in September 2006. They didn't launch it until December (I think?). They had to tweak the HSDPA network to handle the TyTN/8525.
I bet those dates will be around the same for this new phone. Cingular/AT&T will be testing out the HSUPA network with this thing..

Is it TMo's policy to post ROMs for just-launched phones on their website? If not, all of us with Dopod and HTC Heralds will have waited in vain. No one has been able to extract the Herald OS from the ROM successfully so far...

This morning some people have received the following email from Vodafone
Unfortunately we have suffered a surprisingly high demand for the HTC Desire HD, which means that it`s unexpectedly out of stock.
Does this mean the had the handset in stock and already sold out. Apparently waiting time is now 7 - 10 working days. Anyone else recieve any such message?

Their website states the 11th Oct which is still better then Nov.

I hope you do get it asap. But when I ordered the HTC HD2 from superetrader they advertised as in stock & immediate shipping 2 days before the actual release date. So I rang them & they said yep we have 3 in now for immediate shipping so I ordered & waited the next day & the next, so I rang them & they said that they hadn't had chance to pack it & post it. Another day went by & nothing, so i rang & same excuse.
3 days later when everyone else was shipping did I get mine.
I won't be using them again.
Hope u have no problems with them, I just don't believe a word they say.

I went into Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U in Aberdeen today and neither had a clue when it would be in stock. One salesman suggested the end of November.
I accept there will be a delay between online and retail but even that seems a bit much.
I'm pinning my hopes on orange as I'm due for an upgrade now-ish. Hopefully they'll get their collective arse in gear and stock the HD before too long. However I feel I'm going to be waiting longer than I want to

Got told by Orange that its gonna be November time
Gutted as my upgrade is due now, so my beloved Hero will have to hold on a little longer
I really hope Orange get this phone. I'm due my upgrade in 6 weeks. I'm not that confident and I don't really want to switch networks and lose all my loyalty perks. Fingers and toes crossed.

My HERO is serving well with Elelinux V1.9 but it is time upgrade. The phone is starting to age very rapidly and I think it's slowly dying I can wait until november but I hope it doesn't slip.
I have signed up to get a SGS 2 on Three as I had an issue with my experia Arc, I know some deals have been leaked from Three and I was also told that today was the launch date. However I phoned the exchange phone section on the three helpline they informed me that there were no deals out yet and the phone is not in stock. Funny launch date.
Has anyone else had any luck with three or has anyone heard of any other deals.
BTW i will post up and deals they offer me i will be ringing them back daily untill they get the phone in.

I deal with their twitter quite a lot and they being schtum on the release apart from that it is really soon. The only rumour I have heard about the pricing is that the one plan will be £40 a month for a free phone, which is **** tbh ^^
Tbh follow @threeuk or @fysi (that's me), and you'll find out the release the day it is released.
I was originally by a "line manager" on the help desk that is was 29th april then they said the 3rd may. Today they told it would be in the next couple of days. They even extended the 14 day exchange policy so that i could get the SGS 2.

I seen that floating round the net but find it had to believe as the experia arc is at £40 for the same deal.
