MDA COMPACT & TOMTOM3

Hi all
Apologies if duplicate thread as i have checked as much as I could for it.
I have recently changed over to T-Mobile UK MDA Compact from XDA II.
What I want to know is has anyone used the Compact with TomTom 3? If so, can you please tell me how u got it to work.
Also, is there any way of upgrading the RAM from 64Mb.
One more thing how do you get rid of all the generic T-Mobile stuff that comes pre-installed. I amd having difficulties getting rid of the GPRS Monitor.
Any help with this greatly appreciated.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
I used the setup on the CD and it installed like any other application. Worked great, and now I am using TomTom 5, which also works well.
I've got tom Tom 3 on my MDA Compact working with a bluetooth Fortuna Clip On GPS Receiver.
I found that you had to upgrade the GPS drivers from 2.06 or 2.07 (which came with my Tom Tom software) to 3.07 as these are the only ones that work with WM2003 SE. You can download them from the Tom Tom website.
Cheers

thank you all. I've finally managed to get it working.
Discovered the problem was with my laptop rather then anything to d with the MDA Compact or TomTom.
Thanks all

Possible upgrade to WM5?

I have been looking on ebay and have seen an upgrade that might work ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6445067715&rd=1&sspagename=STRK:MEWA:IT&rd=1) item number 6445067715. Although the auction doesnt say anything about any specific device I emailed the seller asking if it will work on a XDA 2i and got the following response:
Hi, this is for Smartphones and Pda's that have windows already installed on
them and the pda's must have a camera button on them, thanks mjase
Any ideas if this is right and would work on the XDA 2i? Although I dont have one yet I am looking at getting one (my old IPAQ 2210 screen stopped working a week ago) and although I have a Sony Ericsson s700i I thought it would be nice to get everything under one device - can anyone tell me if the camera on the XDA 2i takes better pictures than the Sony Ericsson s700i?
thanks
James

I understand there is no official update yet but wondered if aynyone has tried to use these updates and if no one has then purhaps it is a way of moving forward
the updates is for Smartphone not Pocket PC!!!
thounds of us are like you too, tried waiting for WM5 for Alpine.

TomTom 3 on Universal?

Hello
I am thinking of upgrading from my Orange SPVM5000 and just wondered if anyone had got TomTom 3 running on the Universal - as I know it is older software - but it does the job and I don't really want to have to upgrade AND buy new software if possible.
I did a search but could not see if anyone had asked this question before.
Thanks

Tomtom navigator 3 and wizard problem

As my old trusty XDA11 has packed up, I now have a new o2 XDA mini 's' (Wizard). Trouble is, Tomtom Navigator 3 (as worked ok on the XDA11), won't install. Tomtom tell me it's incompatible, but the guy in the o2 shop assured me that I would find a work-around on here. Well I've looked, and I can't find any.
Can anyone help please?
The Guys at the phone-shops are total n00bs... They even don't know what a PocketPC is. TomTom 3 isn't working on WM5. Even TomTom 5 need a installer modification to work.
Yeah I know, but this guy completely bullshitted me that he knew all about XDA's! Guess I'll have to fork out again for 5.21

No one has ether seen that today before ?

Hi ALL,
Has anyone ever seen this one before ? It was made by Orange a few years ago for PDA, i've tried it on a PocketPC and it worked quiet well... now i don't manage to find it to try it on my Wizard...
