Solution to battery icon in new Orange UK ROM - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

Hi,
There have been quite a few threads mentioning the problem with the battery icon in the new Orange UK ROM on the today screen.
Has anyone found any solution to this problem yet? I dont really want to use the TodayTime plugin as mentioned by some of the threads (no disrespect to the author... i just prefer to be able to save as much today screen real estate as possible).
I like setting up the time in the top corner to include the time and date. This was perfect enough for the today screen.
Surely this is just some extra code in the orange customisations for the battery icon?
if anyone has found a solution or is still looking please let me know.
Regards,

Clock Issues on new Qtek 2.17 Rom

Hey..
I updated to the new Qtek 2.17 rom yesterday...
It works like a charm for me at the moment(tried the 2.8 test rom and then converted back to 1.7 qtek rom)
I'm aware of the clock issue(clock being replaced by battery Icon) and really am fine with it.
What is a pity though, is that I can't seem to find an app that will shoy the clock on the tray, instead of on the top bar.
Does anybody know of such an app?
And is there maybe a way to add the clock to the top bar, even when you are in the home screen?
Is there a way to edit the today screen plugin for the clock to not show clock and date on two lines like it is doing with me now?
Otherwise, tho rom works stable, but didn't tinker with it much....
Try Wisbar
Thanks for the tip, but I am currently running Magic Button, and am very pleased with that.
I don't want to install Wisbar, because of the extended features.
I am really looking for a very simple app, that just lets me put the clock in the tray at the bottom of the screen(initray) and not on top.
Thanks though!!!!
Maybe you should browse Vijay's site, I think there might be one there.

Nope, can't find anything on VJ's site...
Anyone else got a clue? :?: :?:

xda mini s Battery meter percentage

I am new to this forum and it is brilliant. Thanks for all your help.
I have upgraded the ROM on my phone but I do not have the battery meter on the today screen showing the charge percentage.
Please can you tell me if there is any hack to the registry or free utility that I can use
Hi you dont say the rom you upgraded too. I assume its one of the aku2 roms. The battery should be on the task bar as standard, if its not have you used registry wizard that sometimes hides it?- if you want a better battery meter use batti - places a thin line at top of screen. Find attached
Thanks for that I have Rom 2.21.4.1WWE.
It shows the battery indicator at the top of the screen but before I flashed it I had the battery meter halfway down the today screen showing the percentage charge that the battery had
Oh yes that must of been a today screen plugin , (prob lost when you flashed? o2 plugin i think maybe someone could post it ) there are free ones available showing % see at www.pocketpcfreewares.com. Still prefer batti though, you loose no screen space
Thank you, your help is very much appreciated.
It looks like there are a few good ones to try on this website.
Thanks again

Click to collapse
Could someone post this plugin?
Or does anyone know of a 3rd party plugin that is as simple as the original O2 plugin? All I want is the battery meter and I find the one above too small!
i used to use batmemtime on my axim
you can show as much or as little info as you like as like you i only wanted a battery bar.
cheers,
malty

Hide orange battery icon on SPV M700?

I've just got a white SPV M700 and so far I'm having a lot of fun with it
However I hate Orange's theme and have reverted back to the default windows theme for the time being. I've got my Today screen pretty much how I want it, but I can't get rid of the ugly bright orange battery icon in the top right corner. I assume its a leftover from Orange's theme, does anyone know how I can get rid of it?
Also for roaming, it'd be very useful to see what carrier I'm connected to somewhere on the Today screen. Is there a plugin or registry tweak to get that to show?
Kind regards

Hide Icon Orange on SPV M700 Response
Hello
The solution :
Restore clock on top bar
[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\]
"ShowTitleBarClock"=1 (enable)
"ShowTitleBarClock"=0 (disable)
Set it ENABLE (and switch off and on your phone) and enjoy.
Good night.

Thanks, worked like a charm.
Cheers

PlugIn
Just to repeat the second part of the original question:
Is there a plugin that will show which network you are conected to for normal windows today screen?
Thanx in advance.

A couple of display issues

Hi all... First of all, gotta say this is an amazing forum. Lots very good information and smart people!
Now for my problems. Being the noob I am, I'm sure the answer is somewhere on this site, but I'm not able to find it. Basically there are two issues on the attached screenshot.
1) Obvious, but still... black background color in the top part of the Launch program screen of TF3D (and other similar screens).
2) Bottom Bar (that normally holds "Phone" and "Programs" link, or in this screen "Back") has gone grey on me. Now this is not TF3D related. Still there if I disable it, and it seems the color changes slightly if i change the windows theme, so I think its not actually grey, but transparent. At some point i got it to look the way I wanted, but after a soft-reset it's back to being transparent. Thinking maybe I have managed to overwrite a file in the rom?
Anyways... The Noob gives up in hope of some professional answers
Thanks in advance!

htc hd2 usa model. problems with clock and battery in top toolbar

im trying to get these taskbars on these forums to install on my htc hd2, but ive noticed even with the default toolbar, when i have it setup to show the clock in the toolbar. it removes my battery icon? anyone experience this before? is there a fix? i'd really like to have my clock on top toolbar\taskbar and also be able to see my battery strength!
thanks for any tips
yes I need a solution for that too.
unfortunately with the HD2 it seems this is the norm. I know with the TP2 it would show the battery when I was on the home screen or any of the tabs & the clock when in any app.
You can try battclock to get both of them at the same time
