htc hd2 usa model. problems with clock and battery in top toolbar - HD2 General

im trying to get these taskbars on these forums to install on my htc hd2, but ive noticed even with the default toolbar, when i have it setup to show the clock in the toolbar. it removes my battery icon? anyone experience this before? is there a fix? i'd really like to have my clock on top toolbar\taskbar and also be able to see my battery strength!
thanks for any tips

yes I need a solution for that too.

unfortunately with the HD2 it seems this is the norm. I know with the TP2 it would show the battery when I was on the home screen or any of the tabs & the clock when in any app.
You can try battclock to get both of them at the same time

Remove Battery icon?

So many threads coming up with a search. Can someone easily tell me how to remove the battery icon from the top bar in my Orange SPV 3100
Many thanks.
HTCustom does it easy. There are links all over for it. Although if you remove it the blank spot also covers up the "sound" icon and part of the reception icon
Well wait. I just noticed you said battery. Default there is the clock. So you've changed it before? HTCustom will still let u change this (UI tab i believe) but it sounds like you've changed it before.
I haven't done much - I have just allowed user information on the screen, which takes care of the clock, as this now shows in the "today" area. The battery icon has replaced where the time was on the top bar. I will try HTcustom and see what happens!! thanks for the help.

hiding toolbar icons?

the battery icon disappears when you launch a program and im wondering if there is a way to also hide the speaker, evdo icon and activesync in the same manner the battery disappears and reappears when you open/close a program.
can these icons be auto-hidden like battery?
if anyone uses WkTask you'll know why.. i think it would be better for more room/space for tabs.. i don't see a point in showing these icons when you're working on active tasks.

...if you are using WkTask you can allow it to cover those icons:
manage the size of the "Offset from the right edge" option in first preferences tab, try to decrease that number!!
Ciao

Tray battery icon

Does anyone know how to remove the small 4 segment battery icon from the lower tray in the today screen. I don't really see the point in it existing with the one in the upper taskbar being there already.
I've already checked for running tasks, as well as startup programs for a program which may be creating the icon, but I can't seem to find anything suspicious. I think it must be part of a hidden process which I can't seem to find.
I have searched the SEX1 forums extensively and not founf anything relating to the icon in question. I can try and take screenshots if anyone is unsure about the specific icon I am talking about.
For reference, i'm currently using Norti's excellent "nX1i v1.04" rom.
Thanks in advance for any responses/solutions you may have.
It is there so that if you have the clock displayed at all times in the title bar, there still is a battery indicator (By displaying the clock in titlebar you lose the battery icon). Anyway here's how to remove it: Get yourself a registry editor and set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Services\Power\ShowIcondword to 0. Then Softreset. The icon will be gone IF it's this one. Of course it is possible that on your ROM there is another software installed which produces the icon, but I don't guess that.

Yay, finally gone!
Thanks for that, it's always the simple things you forget to do, like searching the registry. Now that i've got the panels button mapped to the start menu too, this may well be my favourite device yet. I think I may like it even more than my HTC Diamond...

Question about Time/Battery on Taskbar.

Hi there,
I tried my friend's Diamond with cooked rom( not sure which version is it)
I found that their Time/Battery display is quite useful.
When it is on Today page, it will show Battery on Taskbar(Since we have a big clock of TF3D, we don't need a extra one)
But once I opened any other programs, it will show Time on Taskbar.
Do anyone know who can they do that?
Can i change that by regedit?
thanks a lot and sorry for my bad english.

You can try TouchLockPro, which has a BattClock and is at the same time a locking utility. It works on any Windows Mobile phone with TouchScreen. But probably some of the sensors work on the Xperia, like the light sensor.
Settings > Clocks & Alarms > More tab > Display the clock on the title bar in all programs

[STOCK] See the battery "AND" the clock.

I noticed that under setting> Home> Display clock in taskbar, that this give you option of having ONLY your digital clock "OR" your battery icon. Not both.
Without installing something like battclock, etc, Is there a way to make both the clock and batter to be present but not overlapping?
Thanks.
Battclock seems to be the only way.

i refuse to use it because the background is not able to go transparent. its always some solid color. And plus, it uses more RAM.
rebump 10char
Does anyone know if SPB PocketPlus battery bar works on HD2? I used to use this on my TytnII, but I haven't tried it yet on my HD2.
personally im using the "Display clock in taskbar" option along with VistaHide Battery Gauge, so i got a nice little bar on the top of the screen showing the battery and the clock in the taskbar.
(it looks something like this)

lol. i only see the battery in the task bar. the clock isnt' the clock is on manila.
the vistahide battery meter suggestion is meaningful (as you can see in the screenshot) because the battery can now be represented by the 1-2 pixel line across the top of the screen, leaving the default battery meter free to be changed to the time/clock.
however, i understand your requirement because i am also searching for this solution. i remember back in the days of WM6.0 and WM6.1, the "display the clock on the title bar in all programs" worked a bit better. it would show battery when on the home screen (because your home screen might display a better and bigger clock) and it would show the clock when an application/program was in the foreground. i really miss that behavior in WM6.5, though WM6.5.x handles this situation a bit better if i remember correctly.
the link on my previous post, is just the vistahide battery gauge ofc.
i have attached the screen of my phone this time to check the whole thing.
the bar shows that i have more or less 50% battery left
i dont like the rainbow looks. is it possible to make the meter one solid color? anyone?
any solution to this guys?
