Tested on my 818pro and working well. But little bit slow.
Extract the file, you have 2 cab file.
The first one with name 1_o2p202200106_wm5s.cab
The second one with name 2_O2Plus.v2.0.Patch.cab
Copy those 2 files to your device.
1. Run the first one, do not soft reset
2. then install the second one
3. Soft reset
Enjoy
This is COOL!!! It gives many today plug-ins including one that shows the operator name and another one that gives Phone Profile functionality to our WM5 devices!!!!
Plus a brilliantly working Task Manager for WM5 and other useful functions like soft-reset, comfortable portrait/landscape display switch, and a brilliant Today application launcher that doesn't slow down your machine!!!
Cannot run second file
All sounds great stuff, but I cannot install the second CAB. It just won't do it.
This means the O2 stuff will not run, so I just removed it with Remove.
Thanks for the .cabs
The cabs do not work on my jamin.
Doesn't work on the JAMin
The second .cab - the patch - doesn't work on my JAMin either. Has anyone figured out a work around?
Whoa! Thanks a lot for sharing this! Awesome! Works fine on my Jamin.

Works good on my dopod 818pro.
However, as some pointed out, I couldn't install the patch cab file either. I ran it a couple of times but always failed to install. After a softreset, got the screen msg that o2plus is for xda devices etc. Then ran again the patch file and this time it installed with no problems, and all is working fine now.
This is so freaking sweet! I used to have an IIs and I was hating the fact that the Jamin doesn't have something similar to O2 Plus.
I also had problems installiong the 2nd CAB but after a soft reset, I was able to install it. So I guess a soft reset before starting the install is the key?
work on my s200 Qtek. THX
For those who have problem installing the second file:
Just go to Settings>Today>Items to disable all o2 Plus today plugins before installing the second file.
Hope this helps!
Got both files installed! What a nice piece of program
It works on my dopod 818pro, unfortunately, it made the whole performance too slugish so I uninstalled it. Thanks for the share though ;-)
my feedback: slugish and consumes more battery. 40% gone overnight. So I hve decided to uninstall it.
Can I have the cabs or the zip file please
Thanks
I am using Dopod 818 pro with JAmin rom.
This lags the system, I suggest dont install this
I have installed O2plus on my s200. It worked well, at least I thought so. Since a few days I experience big battery drain (about 30-35% overnight with flight mode and device in standby) and I am often unable to wake the device up from standby after a few hours and need to soft reset. This could be due to memory leaks.
However I don't know which program is to blame for this. Could it be O2plus? I only use the O2plus Network Operator today plugin. Another suspect is GSPocketMagic.
Can anyone suggest me how to diagnose this, apart from uninstalling apps and see if it still happens? Is there some sort of task manager that shows CPU/RAM used by each program (not just totals?).
Works good on my dopod 818pro ~!! thanks~
Doesnt work wth my french qtek S200
the second cab dont want to be installed

I was at the local mall today and played with the Verizon Treo 700w. With the integrated data connection, I quickly downloaded Resco Explorer and tried to grab the SpeedDialPlugin.dll from the Windows folder, since that's a neat Today plug-in to assign quick-dial picture contacts as well as have a custom interface for the voicemail box.
Of course, the DLL is in ROM, and Resco Explorer couldn't grab it. Is there any other quick method of getting the file off the device without looking like I'm performing surgery on the device in the store?
I can extract the registry entries with Resco Explorer's Registry Add-In, but how can I get a hold of that and a few other DLL files while on the device itself (not plugging a laptop into it or something)?
Hi BeyondtheTech!
This isn't exactly what you are looking for, since it won't dump individual files, and you need at least a 64 MB SD, but maybe it will be of some use:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=22861
It works automatically in the background, that's a plus!
BeyondtheTech: grab_it is likely to be exactly what you're after, as Buzz says, it's very 007.
I've tried posting some requests in the Treo Central forums for a copy of the rom, but no one will bother getting it off for me
V
I'm going to try tomorrow at the store with my 1GB card full of distractions.
Qapla'!
I installed Resco Explorer on the demo Treo 700w at the store and it was still there today. I exported the registry out to my SD card.
Looks good. Will have a look into it tonight, with Mrs Vijay555's blessing
V
Wow , great thanks
Yahoooo !!!!
This dump is really good
extracted succefully ..
I wanted to see if I could use the Today plug-ins for the Speed Dial (which has custom buttons for voice mail when called).
I extracted SpeedDialPlugin.dll, SpeedDialDB.dll, DialLookupPlugin.dll, ActiveCallPlugIn.dll, CustomDialingExt.dll, and PhoneCanvasPlugIn.dll, got the Today registry tree, and put it in a CAB file and ran it on my 6700, but none of the Today plug-ins show up.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it missing a certain file?
Just wait ... i've extracted all files and modules and test some of them
Great stuff. Have you tried the phone dialler?
Quite nice and works with the keyboard on the Universal.
V
Can you post what you pulled and put together? I'd like to see what can come out of this whole project.
I haven't had any luck with the today plugins yet, just pulled them out and tried copying the reg like you did, but didn't load. Quickly tried reversing it but it doesn't look like it's crippled to the device, but it probably is. Will check in more detail later.
I just tried all the executables, and some are interesting, but frankly much of it is stock. It's only the battery icon (see here) that was of particular interest.
I tried the phone dialler, but my Universal doesn't have a sim, so it crashed when I tried to call, so can't comment if it works 100%. It looks nice and works well with the keyboard, but is QVGA crippled (well, 240x240!), ie not VGA, although it's all bitmaps so may be hackable like VJBigPhone.
The camera app hung
Haven't done much else yet, Buzz was keeping me busy on other stuff
Will try more later. Thanks so much for posting the ROM btw! I imagine you didn't see the bar on grabit because it may be hardcoded to the bottom of a QVGA screen. We may need to mod the source code.
V
ehm how can i open (and extract the files in) the rom dump (bin file)?
The websearch plugin works. Pretty lame though, only two distinguishing features, but about as basic as it could be. Better free options available on line.
V
Chaps, supposedly the Treo 700W has an answering device application on board including some hooks into the GSM hardware.
Any chance of diving into that?

Hello,
I own a Qtek S200 and I have loaded it with every possible ROM without solving my problem. The problem is a very strong memory leak.
After a reset I have something like 17 mb free. At the end of the day I end up with around 5 Mb and here we go for another reset.
I am using SPB Pocket Plus so every task I start is completely closed when I am done with it.
Does anybody have the same problem? Is there any solution?
Thanks
xtrips - great topic title! A+ for effort
You'll have to detail what software you've got installed, and for your own benefit, try hard resetting and running the device without any software installed to confirm the location of the leak. Frankly advice is going to be - hard reset, re-install one app at a time and run it for a while, until you find the one that leaks.

Hi, I'm having the same kind of problems, never got time to test and check if it's software or OS related..
Need help!
Hi,
I just want to know how much RAM do you have left after a soft reset and if it holds an acceptable amount of free ram in the long run.
I have tried every available ROM on my S200 and I usually run the following softwares:
- SPB diary, weather, time, insight
- Wisbar Advanced
Well after soft reset I have something like 18 Mb free but after an hour it gets to 10. The morning after I only have 6 or 5. At this point it is useless to try to run anything. It just freezes.
I usually do at least 2 or 3 soft resets a day.
I am sick of it and I would like to know if anybody shares the same experience?
Thanks
Ditto here too, a memory leak of some sort. Installed SKs soft to 'get back' the RAM which just sends hibernate calls to running soft and has them free up what RAM they have accumulated thus far. I also found that at the end of the day my filesys.exe, gwes.exe and my shell32.exe have trippled or even quadruppled in size and anything I try to free up the RAM is futile - soft reset gets it back to around 18MB. By the way I don't have any SPB Software installed either, it probably isn't any faulty soft, I am thinking that it has to do with these ROMs that we flash with. When the original QTEK ROM was installed the RAM at boot was already at 18 - 20MB and now with 2.20.7.34 it starts with 2.2MB and then jumps back to +/- 18MB after about 10 seconds or so... something in there is clanking around somewhere but I am not a mechanic.
Just my input, I would like to not have to do 2 or 3 reboots per day too...
Hi there, just found that loaded app's dlls won't be unloaded, even if you use a task manager to really close the apps. That seems intended by design, it's not a memory leak (as they won't be loaded again the next time you start that app).
So.... if you use few apps, either intensively or not, you won't have to restart your ppc all the time. BUT if you use many (many) apps, even if you only launch them once per day, you may have to reboot everyday once your memory will be completely filled with those dlls. EVERYTHING uses dlls (and they have not much in common), including creating a new contact, new task, viewing your calendar, launching a settings applet, etc.
i have got the same problem, using AKU 2.3 ROM, which ROM are you guys using? And what today plugins have you got?
I have:
luncher
spb diary 2.2.1
ptravelalarm 2.7 beta
Don't bother....

I've been evolving around the same set apps loaded in my PDA from the beginning, on the other hand I tried 'almost' all the AKU's around and i can tell you that:
- only when I tried AKU's 3.x or WM6, and only then, I could clearly notice a serious improvement in memory management.
I was always blaming the software I was installing but i ran many tests including running my PDA with the OS only, not even loading Extended ROM stuff. Well my S200 always behaved badly.
The problem is these AKU's are still very buggy and i had to reverse back to the release Qtek version 2.2 os.
It's the worse for memory management (i wake up sometimes wit only 2.3 mb memory lesft to use!) but it still is the most stable and all features works.
That's all.
has anyone thought of a way around this? or a way to increase RAM for that matter? i've been using PocketIE and after 3 or more additional windows via spb pocketplus, the prophet slows down drastically or worse it hangs when i check the RAM it's already critically low.. i tried rebooting the prophet and running only PocketIE again through GPRS (3 windows again) still the same thing.. slows or hangs.. any workarounds here? BTW im using iMate ROM 2.13.9.23WWE if it helps.. RAM starts up at 18MB..
Hi, having same problems here with ram. Maybe we could just stop some processes we don't use form start up. For instance
Input method; i just use kboard, not handtype or phonepad
Dictionary
MMS
GPRS
Speedialing...
The question; HOW TO!?
Maybe you could try the little proggie OxiosMemory to get rid of the trash without having to soft-reset. Can be found typing OxiosMemory in Google.
Earlier this week I decided to do some "spring cleaning" and did a hard reset. With the exception of no reinstalling a phone skin (trying to live with the default skin and save the memory) I have all the same applications as before, installed to the same locations. But about 30-40% of the time when I do a soft reset my device will lockup. I have a Cingular 8125 and the latest HTC ROM.
To try and track this down I removed everything from my startup folder and disabled all Today plugins then started doing reset after reset. I then started adding things back one by one. To make an already long story short it seems to be an issue when the Today screen plugins are being loaded, and is not any particular plugin (I run three, all third party).
Of the three one has a very small memory footprint, the second kind of medium and the third a little larger. There does seem to be a relationship between how many plugins (and size) I am loading and the frequency of the lockups. With only the smaller plugin I have reset 4 times with no problems. With only the medium it is about 1 of three and with all three loaded it is almost 1/2 the time. All the plugins are the same version I was running (without this problem) before the reset.
I am running a few "tweaks" via Tweaks2K2 and SK Tools, but these are also the same tweaks I ran before. 21 megs of storage and 18 for memory. I'll probably forget something else to put into the equation.
Any ideas? I could do another reset and hope for the best, but (insert whining here) I just got everything reconfigured.

This may or may not help, but when I was running the straight Cingular 2.25 rom, I had lots of lockups, freezing (requiring a soft reset or even pulling the battery) and lots of dropped calls. For about 6 months I thought the 8125 was the worst device ever made, and was kicking myself for paying $200 for it and was looking at switching to a Nokia device running Symbian (like my old 6620)....
Then I found XDA-Developers. I was nervous at first, but then decided to give ROM flashing a chance. I started by CID unlocking and then going to the Faria AKU 3.3. I was amazed... My 8125 was now fast, and I had ZERO lockups, freezes, and my dropped call issue went away. Suddenly the worst phone / purchase I had made, was now a dream and what I had imagined this device should be like. I've since moved to various WM6 ROMs and while these are not perfect, I still do not have the problems I had with the Cingular stock ROM.
Flashing isn't for everyone, but I can say that for me, most of the issues I had (and made me absolutely hate my 8125) went away when I upgraded to a custom rom (and ones like the Faria 3.3, Molksi 3.3, Molski 2.6 final, and similar) are all VERY stable, fast, and just fantastic upgrades.
If you decide to try this, then make sure you read and understand this thread and the threads it points you to:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=298613
Thanks for the thoughts and the link. The IT department wasn't thrilled when I upgraded from my original to the current ROM, they could have a heart attack if I go to a cooked ROM. But if I can't figure anything else out I'm game to try that. I'll be out a lot the next couple of weeks and would rather live with what I have than take the small chance on bricking the phone right now.
I should have mentioned that all three plugins are installed to main memory, however two of the three (iLauncher and PB) are accessing my SD card for program icons and skins. There seems to be a relationship here. When I move the PB skins to main memory rather than SD the lockups seem to drop pretty dramatically. iLauncher loads after PB loads so assuming any issue with the card (maybe initializing) are gone before iL loads. I reformatted the card, but that doesn't seem to matter.
SD cards vary in their performance. Could be if you have some noname SD brand, it may have errors or perf issues. Maybe pick up a name brand (like Sandisk) or somesuch and see if the problem goes away. Also some of the larger (1GB and larger) can be flakey.
It is a SanDisk card and is 1 gig. But one can never have too many cards, maybe I need another.

This ROM is very fast, stable and beautiful I am running it on my O2 Xda IIs now.
what is the list of the improvements of the new build?
Hi.
This is the third rom i'm trying to my blueangel in the last 3 days. It's a common issue that after a soft reset wifi cannot be started from the comm manager menu but only from the wireless LAN option in connections tab. After that wireless lan option in comm manager is working...also phone option turn on-turn off in comm manager behaves a little strange.
I was using an alpine with wm2003se and the last 3 days i'm playing with this blueangel, it's somewhat annoying the whole comm manager thing.
Also wifi's performance is a little low...compared to apline and wm2003se.
( i'm a little off topic....i know...sorry)
good rom. i am using it on mu ba
This ROM is great, very stable. I have had very few resets, and the ones I have had are for the reasons I will post below.
Here are a few issues I have found (none of these are show stoppers for me):
1. If I try to connect my S9 headset and my BT-GPS the BA drops all BT activity and says it has no bluetooth hardware installed until I reset.
2. The version of WM5Storage/USB HDD is not the most current and has missing options (that I never used anyway)
3. Hard coded soft keys (coding the soft key strings into the ROM prevents one from being able to delete the keys and return to default)
4. Inclusion of beta/alpha applications into the ROM (iContact) I love and use iContact, but it is not ready for ROM inclusion IMHO.
As stated, none of these are huge issues for me and I will continue to use this ROM until a better one is released.
On a side note, when I initially connected my headset and GPS the first time I was able to use both at once. I then disconnected them both and have never been able to use them both simultaneously.
Thanks for the ROM it really is a good one..
The rom is nice but Bluetooth doesnt work
GSM Radio included?
Hi,
My friend has just handed me an O2 Xda IIs - which his friend tried to flash. It looks like the new ROM is ok, but there is no RADIO now. I was wondering if this ROM has a RADIO included?
Might I be better just flashing with a WM5 ROM with Radio included..any recommendations welcome! This is literally the fist time I've picked up one of these devices so any help is welcome. I'm a Kaiser man myself
Thanks
Very nice ROM! I've recently switched to the PV ROMs and am very satisfied.
One little glitch I found: I used to be able to configure a button to be "<Rotate Screen>" by going in Start/Settings/Buttons/Assign a program, however that option is not available in this ROM (nor is it available in 19199). I'd be really happy to see it available in the list again! Thanks.
Thank for sharing & test

everytime i reset my XDA2s and i will display a stripes color screen and the it will display at the bottom right:
R 1.02.00
G 1337.32
D 6.01.03.DVH
when it display that my phone works fine with the wireless and the gsm is fine also.. but sometimes when i reset it will display like this :
R none
G none
D 6.01.03.DVH
and the gsm signal will be none and when i try to on my phone it will do nothing, but wireless is working..
can anyone help me out? how can that happen, i flash my device with no problems
thx in advance
But this GSM problem is something new compared to the problem WM5/6 that was there for ages and everybody knows about it?

it's a common known issue since wm5. it happens from time to time, reset the device would fix it.
After spending the last 5 days trying different rom's and configurations I finally got my phone just as I want it - perfect - (apart from my emails not syncing but that's been like that for a while )
Anyway last night I went to send a text message and noticed my keyboard looks like this

as you can see the screen has sort of jumped up a little and it makes the spacebar bigger and all the symbols are half cut off. It is only the portrait keyboard that does this.
I have seen this before by someone on this forum but after a search I can not find the post.
I don't want to hard reset my phone for what'll feel like the thousandth time so does anyone have a solution to my problem. I was thinking that maybe someone could send me their keyboard files (if you know where they are) so i can copy them to my phone and see if it solves it.
Thanks
anyone know of a fix
I had the exact problem only yesterday mate. I flashed Dutty's latest ROM and everything was great. I then installed the currency keyboard cab (it gives a £ on the standard keyboard) and it did what you've shown above. Uninstalling it did nothing, so I did a hard reset. That wasn't a big deal for me as I'd only just flashed the ROM.
What ROM do you have?
just as I finished writing this I thought I'd unistall the currency keyboard plugin and the touch screen 3.3 cab to see if it made any difference.
After a reset my phone completely froze over so I pulled the battery out and then it booted up fine and the problem has gone away.
I've used both of these cab's everytime I have hard reset my phone and never had a problem. Strange.
I'm gonna install the touch cab again and then back everything up and then install the currency one again and see if the problem comes back.
I'm using Miri's HD2 6.5.x V3 rom

I've used both of these cab's everytime I have hard reset my phone and never had a problem. Strange.
I'm gonna install the touch cab again and then back everything up and then install the currency one again and see if the problem comes back.
I'm using Miri's HD2 6.5.x V3 rom

I'm pretty sure you'll find it's that cab then. Last night, after a hard reset, I checked the keyboard and it was fine. I then installed the currency cab and the keyboard was immediately knackered. I had to hard reset to get rid of it though, so you've had more luck fixing it than I had.
ok cheers for the info. I'm not going to bother installing the currency cab again then

Saying that, I don't think I've used the £ character since that cab was made lol
