how to totaly stutdown like pc for o2 mini?
or what sofware can totaly turn off not just stanby
You can't.
The only way would be to take the battery out and then let the backup drain out completely.
Why do you want to do this anyway?
you can.....
When the device is on hold the off button for about 5 seconds. You will then get a warning "Device will be off, and may loose some data. Do you want to continue, yes / no"
Yes = power off.
TheBrit: you can only do this trick on the Wizard AFAIK. It's not universal or magician. Some Axims have it built in as well. It's OEM specific.

Hello, please if anyone knows the solution to my problem:
I bought a Tmobile MDA from a person who just flashed it with a Tmobile demo rom v4.21
MDA works normally when on craddle (charger) but when on battery it goes dead after i press power button... So, when I take it off the craddle it works normally on battery (battery is supposed to be brand new) but once turned off, the screen blinks once and MDA is dead.
When I just put it on craddle for a second i can turn it on and it works normally again...even on battery...
He is out of town and will be back on friday. He sais that this is a software problem and will be solved by flashing with XDA developer ROM.
Could that be true? The battery seems to bi OK until I press the power button...
I tried flashing ROM via USB but I get error 011 - execute remote communication program error....
Please help...
Thx in advance

hi. this is very strange to me. The software doesn't cause this problem. my be you look around the connector if the one of the bin is bent or broken. I am not sure but if you think the software problem, go ahead and upgrade the rom.
Thanxs for reply.
but MDA works on battery until it turns off automatically (power save) or if I press power button... When on craddle, power button works normally...
I can make calls and everything on battery but when I turn it off - id goes dead ((
Is there anyway of turning the Blue angel off properly.
I.e: When holding the power button a notice comes up asking if your sure you want to shut down.
A bit like on the MDA Vario?
no way
there is no way to really shut down the device. however, if you still wanted to really save your battery, just simply turn off the radio and turn of the device..
That is because BA was designed to work with WM2003 which doesn't use persistent storage and turning it fully off is the same like doing hard reset (you can still do that by taking out battery - backup battery will then drain in 30 minutes).
Can you help me please? I´m using HTC magician. Sometimes when I´m using for example 15 minutes after that magician is shut down. When I want to switch on, I can but after 15 minutes or I have to move with back cover after that I can sometimes switch on. I have the newest ROM version. Did you have the same problem anybody?
first of all please confirm whether it turn off automatically while in power (charging) mode. If not, then your battery is gone replace it !

hi,
anybody got the problems that the HD turns itself off automatically. Then when you press the powerbutton it won't turn on. You have to take out the battery and put it back, then it will turn on.
The power-button work fine and you can turn it on/off with the power button, but after a while problem occure again, and you have to take out the battery to turn it on. This is the first time it happens to my HD, I have a European HD and am using it in USA, could that be the cause of the problem ?
Will see if the problems occure when I'm back home, but just wanted to know if any other have had the same problem.

Sounds like your connection between battery and phone is faulty.
When you first insert battery connection is good but after a period of time this connection becomes loose.
There has been a few other threads regarding this if you do a quick search.
My recommendation would be to take phone back and get a replacement
That's not a battery problem. I have the same problem sometimes. If u press the reset button, whitout touching in the battery, the HD turns alive.
I guess that is a software/firmware problem.
Guys, just check here, we had similar problems too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Same thing happened to me 3 days after i first got it, the supplier gave me a new phone. I think it is the button itself that is faulty, it's as if it is pressed constantly. Do u also get the message that your phone will be turned off when you turn it on by reinserting the battery?
no, I don't get any message when I reinsert the battery.
I back in europe now, and have changed the phone setting to GSM and not had the problem for 2 days now.
have tried to press the power button a couple of times but can't recreat the error I had. so just going to see how it works in the coming days.

Dont Feel panic!
Hi dude, That happened to me.. your case its very simple, your battery have to low charge level, so the recharge circuit can't start.
what u have to do? simple:
(you can see many video tutorials of this in youtube, and it worked for me)
1: take a 5VDC charger, cut the connector (then you will have just 2 cables the Positive+ one and the Negative- one)
2: take out the battery from your phone, and put the +cable on the +Pin of the phone, and do the same with the -Cable.
3: Put the battery on your cellphone (the cables can't touch any other pin only the + and - pins)
4: connect the charger, wait 10 Secs then turn on your cell phone, let it charge at least 10 Minutes (no more than 15 Minutes!) then turn of you cell phone, put out the battery, remove the cables, put the battery on the phone again, turn it on and charge it with a normal USB charger!
5: Enjoy
Notes:
-i use this method with my Wizard when my USB connector get broken, its 100% Secure for your device.
-you can know which is the + and - pin looking on the Battery
-if your battery don't take any charge its because its Depleted, you can found a new on Ebay =)
Good Luck!
