Probably silly question...

installing an iMate ROM in my T Mobile MDA Pro isn't going to network unlock it, is it?

I have an O2 XDA Pro Version and would love to get updated ROMs.
But can`t sign-up to the Club iMate website with my IMEI details.
Seems to know that this isn`t an iMate model

If you look around this forum, you'll see people have kindly posted links to the various ROMS available. I installed the iMate WWE ROM yesterday - but don't happen to have another SIM to test it with.
I doubt it DOES remove the device's SIM lock though.

your guess is right .. software update does not remove the netlock.

Did this myself and tried my old PAYG Orange sim in the MDA Pro. No joy I'm afraid - prompts for unlock code.

Qtek S200 Shipped CD Rom no use

The S200 ships with an extra CD Rom called "Application CD" which I believe has a GPRS monitor on it, when I have tried to install this it says that i need a ROM upgrade, anyone experienced this?

Found in the expansys forum that the program is spb gprs monitor... go to spb web site and download the new version.
It worked on mine but you have to pay for it...

It seems that this update is on the Qtek site (www.qtek.se)

Which ROM

Hi Everybody,
I would like to "flash my ROM" for the first time.
Which ROM would you suggest and where would I obtain it from?
The Wizard is a T-mobile MSA Vario, but I have an o2 SIM.
o2 won't let me download there latest ROM as it is a T-Mobile phone!!!

I've checked the suggested site, but there doesn't seem to be a link for T-mobile and I've tried the o2 website, but as I've said, they won't let me.

if you fone is unlocked the q-tek rom is probably best for you
its on this sites ftp server

how to get the ROM
I tried to access the page to download the ROM but it asks for username and password. I put the ones from the forum, but it is not working. Does anybody know how to do it?

O2 neo official website ?

Hello,
I was wondering whether o2 neo has a official website like DOPOD has www.dopodasia.com. I heard that if you have purchased a DOPOD PDA then you could enter your phone serial number and become the dopod asia portal member and download latest rom updates from there. I was trying to find something for my o2 neo and surprizingly I did not find a official website for this device. I checked www.seeo2.com and selected different countries and could not find o2 neo listed there. please HELP!!!

location of upgrade ROM
Hi,
I just tried to download the 6.1 upgrade ROM but it doesn't seem to be available. If I try the direct link to the HTC download site I get the generic HTC upgrade page which doesn't include an option to upgrade the Orbit. If I go to the O2 page I get directed to HTC page, and if I select the Rapid share link I get an error (file not found).
Anyone got any advice on how to upgrade the Orbit 2 to WM 6.1 (official O2 release)(or shouldn't I bother)?

If you have the time to do some reading then install Hard-SPL and flash one of the 3LIT3 roms, as they are some of the best out at the moment.
For some help have a read of this to get you started.
Also i was running the O2 rom for quite a while, definately better than the 6.0 rom but 3LIT3 better still!
EDIT: Found this direct link but on download it is directing you to the HTC site, not the actual rom. Very strange, if you want it ask o2 what they up to.
