XDA IIi UK to Imate pda2 uk ROM?

Hi, Does anyone know where I can download the latest ROM for my XDA IIi uk to the latest Imate PDA2 ROM? I have heard that this is better than the 02 ROM? Is there any reason I shouldn't do this?

Thread move to Alpine from UPgrade, mod, unlock.
Try the I-mate ftp site.
For this follow the wiki link for the BlueAngel, go to the avlible roms page, at the bottom is a link for the ftp site of I-mate.

Update to the newer O2 ROM but use Pugs update version as this includes the newer Radio ROM version too

Read right through it though theres 4 pages,
This upgrade will error the first time you try, but it works on the second time.

Many thanks for all your advice. I am going to stick with the modified 02 upgrade, it seems the general feeling is this option.

I was given an I mate PH10B PPC Phone.
Darn thing has a beta OS on it. I see the link for Imates FTP site but I have no clue what files to download. I have nothing critical on this PPC so data is a non issue.
Im a total newbe all I know so far is the OS is a ROM and I can put the device in serial/usb mode. Thats all I know so far.

O2 XDA Mini S Rom

Hi there,
Ive upgraded to the I-Mate rom and I would now like to downgrade it back to the orginial o2 rom so that I can sell the phone. Could you please give me a link of where to download the rom as I can't seem to get the www.my-xda.com website to work.

I have a MDA Compact III original German Rom. If you think that this rom will help you, I can put on rapidshare and send you a link.

Could always try it and pull it out of the bootloader screen...

The MDA compact III rom does not work on the "plain" HTC P3300 german. I've already tried that. It seems that there is NO german P3300 available anywhere on the net. I've spend quite a few hours searching every available forum or search engine :-(

Did anybody think that HTC lounch soon Wm6 for Artemis? After that we must legaly download from HTC site like P3600(just put valid IMEI)...or I am wrong about that?

I think that will be our only chance... Wait for a WM6 ROM published by HTC.

Yes i hope ther will be an WM6 Image soon - but as i see the customer satisfaction seems to be very uninteresting for htc which is bad. I like this device very much but the service of htc is really bad. Lets hope that there is an image soon.......

I need German HTC P3300 no brand ROM too.
Why there is P3600 and others WM5 and even WM6 ROM available to download and not for P3300?
I really can´t undestand HTC costumer support politics....
We are not asking something that was not already paid, at least when i buy a WIN XP or VISTA i get the CD/DVD and future upgrades .

Because our is unbranded HTC P3300 with CID locked and yours is CID unlocked or is a original O2 branded, thats why you can upgrade it.
Like we only can start it in boot mode, If we try to upgrade with O2 ROM or other ROM we get INVALID VENDOR.

Upgrading from O2 Orbit 2 German to WWE, which one?

Hi,
I just bought an O2 Orbit 2 on ebay from a german retailer (BTW price inclusing shipment 469 Euro). Of course the Windows Mobile is in German and TOMTOM 6 is with german maps.
Would like to change the operating system into WWE. So far I am a bit reluctant since terrible experience I had with my previous HTC Tytn changing the O.S., which was:
1) First the camera didn't work at all
2) Camera worked, mobile office didn't work
3) Mobile office worked, reception was less good then original O.S.
At the end I got an "original" WWE O.S. from HTC website for Tytn and I was half happy (everything worked except Camera which not always worked).
Based on this experience I'm willing to upgrade to a new ROM/O.S. for my O2 Orbit 2, only if it is perfectly working, in your opinion what is the best solution for me?
A) Keep my german ROM and wait availability from O2 for an official WWE ROM
B) Download official O2 WWE ROM from this site ____________
C) Go ahead and download _____________ ROM WWE from this site ____________

Many people says that Bepe's and udK's Rom are marvelous......I think you'll have to try and decide yourself, like me in near future

Bepe and udK are in fact nicely done.
If it's just about the language, then use the default and official WWE HTC ROM which can be found on the xda-dev ftp server.
Just in case, because so many already ****** up their device up by not reading instructions and doing it wrong: whatever you do, do the HardSPL first.

Couldn't wait for the link to official WWE, so I downloaded and installed Bepe's instead.
It works great.
Sorry just got very frustrated in my previous rom upgrading experience with Tytn (and I did read ALL the instructions first, to no avail)

Wait for link? I said the xda-dev ftp server. I strongly believe a user should find the servers address itself. Links to the server are all over the place and theres even a wiki-entry. Or just go to google and type xda-developers ftp server. ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Polaris

i have run this update already couldnt want any longer, it works like a dream all credit to o2 for this update its like the htc with added bonuses fantasic rom

Yes.. Of Course. But then you can come back any time with a new flash.

Anything for italian brand TIM?

I flashed this ROM, it is for UK customers. I didn't find this ROM any significant advantage over the HTC ROM. HTC has build in Home and Touchflo and this ROM didn't include those so it has more storage memory.
It certainly has different graphics and interface is before the touch cube invented.
