I flashed this ROM, it is for UK customers. I didn't find this ROM any significant advantage over the HTC ROM. HTC has build in Home and Touchflo and this ROM didn't include those so it has more storage memory.
It certainly has different graphics and interface is before the touch cube invented.

I noticed that the image version of the rom is 1.00.000.0; is this "as intended"? I'm just curious because my device is version 1.25.409.1, and it would seem that "upgrading" the ROM just became "downgrading" ...

It is a dumped original. All apps included. Don't worry about version mumber.

thanks for the rom but i have a problem installing it.
when i press update/next/next in my pc, it gets stuck and after ten seconds activesync is disconnecting and i get error260 message: connection. the pda is stuck on loading... so i do soft-reset and everything is fine again.
now it even got stuck in the bootloader screen...
i did hardspl with olipro v2 but where can i check that it really went through?
any1 has any ideas?
UPDATE...sorry about that just had to take out the micro sd card and of course unplug and replug the usb connector.
everything works great now!

Would be nice if anyone could tell. I tried hardspl too and would relly like to know if it worked; don't really like bricked devices

It's the original one (WWE). Homescreen is installed. All other htc apps also..
Install Hard SPL and flash your TC.
Just wondering if anyone is using the O2 ROM on their HTC branded Touch Cruise. If so is there any substantial differences? is it worth upgrading?
If no one has tried it yet I would love to test it out if someone has the O2 dumped rom.

I second that!
*not* *only* is it cr-p but they have done a poor job of hacking it. The hack they have done prevents the Blackberry Connect from seeing it as a valid ROM - so J-U-S-T D-O-N-T G-O T-H-E-R-E-!
How about going the other way round? Ive got the O2 software on my Orbit 2, but i want the unbranded version. How does a *complete* beginner go about that?

although the date in the HTC site is recent (Jul 14) is ROM seems to be old!!!

This rom was intalled in my Cruise when i bought it for 6 month ago so its a very old one. Rom is dated 12/2007 and is 6.0

My non-branded Polaris was bought with that ROM already.

Hi,
I just tried to download the 6.1 upgrade ROM but it doesn't seem to be available. If I try the direct link to the HTC download site I get the generic HTC upgrade page which doesn't include an option to upgrade the Orbit. If I go to the O2 page I get directed to HTC page, and if I select the Rapid share link I get an error (file not found).
Anyone got any advice on how to upgrade the Orbit 2 to WM 6.1 (official O2 release)(or shouldn't I bother)?

If you have the time to do some reading then install Hard-SPL and flash one of the 3LIT3 roms, as they are some of the best out at the moment.
For some help have a read of this to get you started.
Also i was running the O2 rom for quite a while, definately better than the 6.0 rom but 3LIT3 better still!
EDIT: Found this direct link but on download it is directing you to the HTC site, not the actual rom. Very strange, if you want it ask o2 what they up to.

The previous Vodafone UK rom 1.72.161 was very fast and very stable!!!
HTC is making more stable rom!!!!!!!!

I know i'm a flash addict, but one thing still confuses me.. If i extract the .nbh and flash using CustomRUU will it overwrite HSPL?
with my call log to o2 cs i am shocked they have not called me yet to say this is up lol maybe my one man crusade finaly made o2 get this out of the door !!

This Rom DOES have O2 branding, it has the O2 boot screen. I have just flashed my device successfully
This rom is for O2 users who cannot update with a generic ROM, unless you used HSPL to flash it.

Would it be ok to install on my HD2? Its a UK verision so to speak, ie. My Serial Number won't let me download it.
of course be carefully; you need to make a Hdspl2, and then you can flash to any rom. These rom are uploaded by xda in the official rom's post
