Hello
I want too rotation the screen of the qtek 2020. What kind of software I need????
Harry
Hello!
This was my problem too.....when I want to read pdf.'s or other stuff!
There are several applications that can help you...but....the best way I found was..installing WINDOWS MOBILE 2003 SE!! It works MORE BATTER, no resets,etc....and it have LANDSCAPE mode INCORPORATED!
If you want...contact me by e-mail in privat...and I will give you that applications!
HAVE A GREAT DAY!
i'm facing the same problem, does anyone hve the answer yet?
The API to rotate the screen doesn't exist in Wm2003. Try a virtual screen application perhaps.
V
Reflashing to one of Buzz'z/TofClock's/Vivi's verions of WM5 for the Qtek/ Himalaya has the screen rotation function builtin... works like a charm.
Cheers - Malow1
Hang on. What OS are you guys using?
WM2003SE and WM5 have it built in.
If you can't find it, check out PHM Key Tools. That has it built in. I'm writing my version soon.
V
Try this:
From WM2003SE goto Settings > Buttons and select <Rotate Screen> for one of your buttons.

Is there anyway to easily rotate the screen on the prophet (besides turning it around in your hand) other than going into settings display and changing it there?
Ive tried the registry changes to add an icon but they dont seem to work.
thanks
Try PHM key tools.

Well i just figured out i can do it using the built in buttons app in settings  but i ideally want to keep all the existing buttons. For now ive mapped "Comm manager hold" to rotate but I want to add another button cnofig i.e OK button hold that would rotate.
I have found the registry keys which control the buttons but need some assistance in understanding them. I can copy an existing key and with a bit of fiddling have "Button 6" appear in my buttons panel but I need help configuring it to map to a button and function in the correct manner
Hello
The Orange SPV M600 came with a little desktop icon, everytime you touch it, it rotates the screen landscape portrate, left right etc.
I am guessing it operates the built in system settings. I found a CAB in the Orange Extended Rom, if it will work, I do not know, you take the risk.
I have included it here for you to try.
It Works!

Thanks 'NewSPV'. I lost this functionality when I upgraded from the M600 Rom to the Dopod ROM. Glad to have this back, as it also frees up the re-mapped 'Communication Manager' button I used to Rotate the screen.
Hi,
I installed MoDaCo screen rotate on my Qtek s200.
I finally have an icon on my Today screen!
One little drawback tho, everytime I tap the screen icon it rotates 90 degr. to the left. So the second time I tap it's upside down in landscape. The third tap brings it back to normal portrait mode.
I had hoped it just would rotate left or right and then back left or right.
Now I have to turn my phone to find the icon.
Edward
NewSVP Thanks for the CAB. Works great.
nypra1314, how is the MoDaCo screen rotate different than the M600 cab? Also where did you find MoDaCo's? I searched the forums but no sucess.
Hi niker,
I will try the M600 cab later today.
The MoDaCo cab, I found also in this forum. didn't know it until I installed. In ActiveSync\ Software it is mentioned as MoDaCo.
Thanks!! Will give MoDaCo's version now.. Cheers!
pt_screenrotate acts the same as ScreenRotate from MoDaCo. :-(
One other drawback tho, I can't locate it in software installations, to remove it, because PT is 88Kb and SR is only 42!
How do I uninstall PT_ScreenRotate please?
Edward
try AEButton
phoneAlarm has a nice little exe in it's directory called rotate.exe which flips between landscape and portrait, rather than going from right handed landscape, upside down, left handed landscape and back to portrait.
I'd post it here, but I'm sure it's copyright software. You'd probably get it in the trial version.
Wisbar 2 has function to rotate screen , with it installed you can set a hardware button to rotate portrait/landscape
On my M600 I just hold the Comm Manager button to rotate screen...
I've just upgraded TT to 06 and, suprisingly... the smily icon to rotate the TT screen from portrait to landscape has disappeared... have they hidden it in any other menu?
My car holder requires me to show landscape, but when I close my JasJar with the screen upwards it goes automatically to portrait and TT, without and indipendent command to rotate screen, goes to portrait as well... so I have to go out of TT, change screen setting... and go back in...
I am sure there is a better solution... thank you!!!
Chris
hi, i am having the same annoying problem. unfortunately tomtom has not included this option in the latest version. the only solution i have come across so far is getting yourself phoneAlarm 1.56.1 by pocketmax. this application have got a pawerful profile manager which allows you to rotate the screen and luanching tomtom at one go and much more. so basicly instead of tapping many times all you need to do is just change profile from home to car. and u are done. the one think i dont like about the application is the fact it is not only profil manager but "bigger" plug-in.
has anybady know a plug-in which is only profile manager which would let me do the same ?
cheerz, cudo
For that, I use PocketZenPhone...
hi, thanks for pointing this out "For that, I use PocketZenPhone..." it is really cool application and it is only a profile manager with loads of options. thanks again. now all my problems with tomtom and rotation every time i want to use it are solved. the application start tomtom, rotate the screen and turns on the bluetooth for me. have a look at how it looks on today screen

Isn't it possible to leave your jasjar in laptopmodus in your carholder?
That way you have landscape plus the advantage of using the keyboard for navigating through TT
You're welcome. Same use for me... You can also create a shortcut on today launcher like iLauncher or SPB PocketPlus refering to navigation profile you défined in PzP... That's what I do, no today plugin, only systray...
So is there a fix for the screen rotation problem on Tomtom 6?
What's wrong with a mort script or whatnot?
I've written VJUzumaki, which will fix this problem, but not available for release immediately...

I'd be very interested if you have a fix for this problem. Not being able to rotate the screen in tomtom 6 is a real pain.
Could you keep us posted on its development please?
Thanks
I've posted in a couple of places, unfortunately the code was written to order for someone else. They have to decide in what form to release it...
For now, I can say it can be fixed, on every slider based device, Uni, Wizard, XV6700, Hermes ... It's not a registry based solution tho, if it was I'd love to tell you guys about it.
V
If you have one available for the Hermes (same as SPV M3100 I think) please let me know.

What do you mean. problem? The rotation feature was removed by TomTom "based on end user requests". Like so many other things that were present in the older version. Anyone still remembers the permanent avoids of TTN2 and 3 ?
I have my uni in a car holder, but I can twist my holder (brodit)
so I have it in landscape for msn/email, and portrait when i need to navigate.
btw TT6 is much much slower then TT5 on my uni
in landscape it's unusable, in portrait it seems even slower then tt5
Hey guys,
I installed Touchflo on my Xperia. Works very well! But i have a problem.
The right key keeps remapping it's self back to "Today" after i start Touchflo.
I want this button to turn the display arround, but everytime i set it up, it remapps itself again after starting Touchflo.
I there a solution for this problem?
settings -> button -> map as whatever you want
what do you mean with "turn the display arround"? landscape?
In short, no solution if you have TF3D installed.
Install AWBPlus.
@guap
yes, i mean landscape.
@paroxsym
are your sure? is this a known problem?
You could start TouchFlo via MortScript.
Last lines should be
Sleep(10000)
RegWriteDWord("HKLM","Software\Microsoft\Shell\Keys\40C3","Flags",14)
and the Button gets remapped. I've got this in my Autostart folder.
Sounds complicated ^^
I hope this problem will be fixed in the coming Manila 2 landscape.
you gotta search for hd-tweak...it´s somwhere in the blackstone forum...i got it on my xperia, and it just works find.
softreset included
there´s the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452505
In the Deveopment/Hacking forum, you can find a fix from me which works without further tweaking tools
I hope the simple trick will be used by the rom cooks in further ROMs, at least Hammamed told me he will use it
Hi guys!
I'm searching for an application wich can turn automaticly off my screen on call connect.
I've tried several solutions and programms, but none of them worked for my 6.5 ROM.
It really annoys me that i accidently press keys while calling. I can activate an automatic lock of the phone throught Smart Lock, but only an alternative surface appears where i press accidently keys, too.
The power button can switch off the touch screen, but it seems that after some minutes it switches on again automaticly and again i press buttons with my cheek....
It would be really really great if somebody could mention a possible solution or write a little programm to fix the problem!
Cheers and thanks alot!
Nobody got an idea?
I've tried several registry tweaks and programs like:
Touch InCall Screen Tweak
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=488991
Touch Lock Pro
http://www.zuinigerijder.com/
but nothing affects wm 6.5....
the same here.
i've duttys r8 turbo rom and the display isn't disabled after a view seconds while doing a call.
tried to fix it by changing some values in hd tweak but without success.
is there nobody who has the same problem?
OK i've tried some more programs.
It works with the trial of PhoneAlarm! But i really dont want to use second today to run the today plugin (the program doesnt work without it), i'm using manilla.
so its possible!
anybody got a solution or knows the algorithm of phone alarm?
cheers
Hey All,
I just got my phone this friday and installed tomtom 7on it.
It works nice & fast for those who want to know... But how can I get it into landscape?
I read on internet that you need to put your phone in landscape modus before starting up tomtom but that doesn't work (rotating doesn't help)
So what I also read is that you can assign a button to force rotation... But well I can't find the settings... Any help?

Use a 3th party gsensor app.
Add TomTom in it, and allow it to go landscape when putting the phone in landscape.
Hmm sorry for being noobish (this is my first windows mobile phone), but where can I find that specific G-Sensor app, I googled but all I can find are some silly G-Sensor games etc...

Thanks! You saved my day
Hmm sorry to bother again... But the program crashes when I start it, "MissingMethodException" and than it's telling me that I need a newer version of the compact framework...

Search for something else Probably not compatible.
I use Gyrator 2 and it works very well in tomtom, both in landscape mode as in reverse modes.

Does it work in the HD2, or do you have it running on a different model ?
I use Change Screen on my Diamond.
You can set TomTom to ONLY work in landscape mode, so when you start the app, it then rotates to landscape, and will not flip to portrait and back again when you go round a corner a bit fast.

Running on my new hd2 ofcourse
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=347705
I used that and assigned it to the answer call button (did this by changing the button settings).
I just hold it down for a few secs and it rotates manually, hold down again and it goes back to normal! I prefer this than using the gsensor

Yup. If you're a memory freak like me and doesnt want to install unnecessary cabs running in the background when HTC already has a rotate function, i suggest using what's already there. Holding down for 2sec and voila! landscape. I find all the other rotate programs to be a huge pain (and sometimes dont work at all!) and take up to much RAM. Assigning the <rotate screen> to the call button was the best thing I've ever did.
Leo hardware button
Nice programme, simple, effective. But with al LEO it seems you can not assign hardware buttons to programmes. Or I am I doing something wrong here?
Same here... Found where I can assign the buttons, only no buttons appear so I can't select anything...
The strange thing is that autorotation of tomtom 7.916 worked on the HD out of the box which doesn't work on the HD2. Perhaps the API changed but i hope TomTom / HTC comes with an update to fix this.
Sorry wrong answer. Deleted.
Auto rotation working fine in my Brandnew HTC now.
Found the tips to get it working somewhere else.
Step 1:
Go to the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\Gsensor\ModuleName
Add a new STRING Value:
Name: TomTom
Value: \Program Files\navigator\tomtomnavigator.exe (if you have a different language you may need to change Program Files to whatever you have)
Please note that in this case TomTom is installed on the Device, NOT the Storage Card.
Step 2:
Go to the following Registry key:
HKCU\Software\HTC\HTCSENSOR\Gsensor\Whitelist
Add a new STRING Value:
Name: TomTom
Value: MunichWinClass
Now do a Soft Reset, and now when you start TomTom and put your HD2 in Landscape, TomTom will rotate automatically.
Maybe someone can make a cab for this ???
yep i've used that registry fix above and that does get tomtom to auto rotate, better than using a 3rd party app, although if you had bsbtweaks installed you might have been able to get it to auto rotate using that.
Personnaly, I use BsB Tweak to enable landscape on many programs, included TomTom
