wisbar 2 and desktop - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hi there, I'm a newbie and i'm having lots of problem with wizbar. I really want to use the software on my o2 mini but it keeps crashing. My main issue is when I get incoming calls my phone does not ring. Also why can't I use the vibrate option with wizbar turned on? The version I'm using is 2.5.0.1 All the help will be appreciated...
ROM VER: 1.11.00 WWE
ROM DATE: 03/14/05
RADIO VERSION: 1.11.00
PROTOCOL VER: 1337.42
EXTROM VER: 1.11.922 WWE

im using the latest version of wisbar advance 2 and am not very impressed so far..
the skins give it a GREAT feel and thats why im still putting up with it. ive experienced a lot more crashing and freeze ups since ive installed it.
and out of no where sometimes, the entire skin would just vanish and go back to my mini xda default skin
i hope they throw out a fix asap..

I have not ran into this issue. The only thing is it is a mem hog on the universal. I don't mind that for the looks. All I can say is go Chris! and keep working on updates. I wouldn't go a day without his product. I cannot stand the default look of any WM device.
Mike

I must say, I recently installed the 2.5.0.1 version and it is not without its faults but a far better improvement on the previous version I had (can't remember the release).
This version for me is much faster than before. I actually used to experience the same problems of the skin disappearing etc. I have been running the 2.5.0.1 version and all seems to be fine so far.
I think everyone knows it's a good program; and I'm sure it will get better with every release.

Backlight comes on then phone freezes, any ideas?

Hi guys, wondered if anyone here can help me out,
My phone is now running the latest orange ROM update:
OPERATOR VERSION: 7.130.1.174
ROM VERSION: 1.30.90 WWE
ROM DATE: 02/24/06
RADIO VERSION: 1.03.00
PROTOCOL VERSION: 42.36.P8
ExtROM VERSION: 1.30.174 WWE
Ive now updated to the new software with PUSH email included. I thought this was going to solve a problem ive been having with my phone.
Ive tried looking on here and no one else seems to be getting the problem.
I have been an SPV over since the classic and I purchased an SPV M5000 around a week ago, it all works fine, except at around 3:30pm - 4:30pm every day, the phones backlight comes on. Apart from yesterday when it happened twice, at 4:30pm and at 10pm!
Everything seems normal until i try to look at some text messages and i cannot see them, they are blank. I cannot load anything else up either, eg programs,I then click on the OK at the top right.
I was curious so i tapped SETTINGS and then MEMORY and the following is displayed:
See attachment SCREEN SHOT 1
The slider wont work, and I cannot do anything, so i switch off the device using the normal power button method, no soft resetting or anything, and then put it on again and i get the following screen
See attachment SCREEN SHOT 2
Now i make sure that there is plenty of program memory free as you can see by the screen shot, there is over 20mb free, so i dont understand why this is happening?
After a soft reset the phones fine. I havent got any extra software loaded, i havent messed around with the ROM settings, the registry of anything, its just been upgraded to the latest orange ROM.
This problem also happened with the previous ROM version so its not because of the latest orange ROM.
Any ideas how to fix it guys? Any help would be really appreciated.
(Apologies for the image size, im at work at we have no decent image editing software installed.)
Many thanks.
Think i fixed the problem
Well i cant believe no one else had the same problem as me, think ive fixed it tho.
I installed the great program called GSPocketMagic and this closes down the programs instead of minimizing them.
This seems to of done the trick. The original problem only happens every now and then, usually when i forget to close the programs down, or i get a few texts followed by phone calls whilst leaving other programs running to.
Just thought id let you all know!
Loving the SPV M5000 now, even sold my O2 XDA Mini S now!

O2 XDA Mini Text notification/ROM question

My Wizard reports a rom version of 2.21.4.1 WWE, which to my understanding the vibration on text notification should be fixed. However, it isn't, and 02 don't have a later ROM on their site. This is my only real qualm with the device as it is atm, and was just after a little advice on the best way tofix this issue.
All help much appreciated
Please?....
Upgrade to one of the AKU 2.3 Roms. It is fixed in AKU 2.3 but not earlier.

What was the problem with the vibration on texts?
When vibration was set to on in all the right places, when the screen was off it would not vibrate. I just spoke to O2 and they recommended that I do a soft reset, and then if required a hard reset, which is fairly useless information. Does anyone have anyr ecommendations as to which 2.3 AKU would be best for me?
Fixed
problem solved - upgraded to the latest o2 rom, only difference being .101 at the ne dof the version number rather than .1 WWE (didn't think that would make that much of a difference - they can't fix that many things in .001 of a version upgrade can they?? and its sorted. Awesome little phone,. As that was so easy, its time to start getting my hands dirty i think...

That is the same ROM you had, the .101 relates to the extended rom version.
You can verify this by checking start -> settings -> device info.
Guess you just had a bad install last time.
Guess it must have been. I find it slightly shoddy that they should ship out a phone such as this with basic problems that have already been fixed - you would think with all the coverage of the different ROMs' problems out there on the net that they would take care in doing a decent install on shipping. Oh well, it is fixed now and I'm loving the phone. Thanks for the help guys, hopefully you'll start hearing more from me soon...

Occasionally missing incoming calls (S200)

Hi,
I hope someone can shed some light on this strange situation.
Every once in a while, between once a week and once in 2 months, I run into a situation where my phone stops receiving calls. I can make calls, but in order to receive them I need to restart it - and then all works fine.
I don't hear a ring, I don't feel a vibrate - but I might get a message of a new voicemail from a missed call.
My phone service assured me that it's not a problem with the network or the service - but the phone itself.
Similarly - mostly noticeable after a nightly charge (and sync) - sometimes the screen (or the display of owner-information) seems to be stuck in such a way that I can receive calls but not do anything with the phone unless I restart it.
I don't know if there's a problem with the OS (WM5), memory, or running programs.
Here's my info - in case it has something to do with that:
Version:
ROM version: 2.9.7.24 WWE
ROM date: 2/9/06
Radio version: 02.07.20
Protocol version: 413.1.03
ExtROM version: 2.9.7.106
Thanks in advance for any info regarding this.
To me, it sounds like an issue with either the ROM or the Radio ROM. Probably faster to check the wiki than wait for me to find links for the other Radio ROMs. http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Prophet_Radio_1_Upgrade
Thanks for the reply.
In brief, could you please tell me what would be the benefits of updating my Radio ROM? Would it improve reception? prevent buggy communication with the phone?
Are there any risks involved - like suddenly some programs would stop working?
I read an old post where a user using PhotoContacts Pro, like I am, seemed to have witnessed the same issues - so he just got used to soft-resetting every day. Maybe that's where my problem is....
Thanks again.
Updating the Radio ROM should prevent the bugs, as they are revised versions with errors removed. Some radio ROMs (2.69) have higher battery drain than older ones, but are relatively bug free.
Thanks - I'll give that a try.

My Damn Wizard!

I really think this deserves a thread on its' own.
I've been having some real crazy headaches and problems with my phone lately.
I updated my phone to TNT 5.0 with touchflo. I have WM6.0 with IPL / SPL 2.26. GSM is 2.25 and my OS is 6.0.0.0. I have no idea how to check what my radio rom version is... I am currently with Rogers in Canada. I installed lokiwizb to unlock this phone.
Simply put, I'm fed up. I get the "colnot.dll, clocknot.dll and repllog.dll" files all the time! What's wrong is that the "touch" on my phone is a bit screwy, either doing things late or not tapping at all.
The worst is that my phone either has poor or no reception at all! Forget about calling today, it just doesn't work. And I realised this week that I had dropped calls and calls that were just not picked up. Afterall having messages from days ago when the phone is on me is not such a good thing.
I've actually dropped the battery status plug in a while back because I had problems with that too.
What can possibly be wrong with the phone. I upgraded it to WM6 and put on cool roms to make it more appealing and in the process, it turned out to be a nightmare.
And CAN SOMEBODY TELL ME what that hard "tock" sound is everytime I hit a key???
Is there a radio rom I should install to get better reception? Should I downgrade back to some other rom, maybe even wm5? Is there a way to overclock (not over 240) my phone without any problems from the application? If it's not the htc rom, is there still a way to get the weather plugin? That is a really nice and useful item.
Please, anyone that could fix my phone is a champ. I'm just sick and tired of these problems.
Phil
Do a hard reset and your troubles will end. It works for me

Easy, 'GSM is 2.25' is your radio version presently installed on your phone. The most stable Radio Rom version commonly preferred is Radio Rom version 2.19.11 UK or 2.69.11,download and flash to check if you get a better reception a fewer missed calls.
As per other file pop ups,its better you reflash again and try the other latest TNT.1620 Series Professional and not the touchflo.hope you'll get a much better performance and no troubles or even try out the latest XMr5 Rom.For overclocking, download 'Batterystatus' install and use.
Cheers !
Revenge of the notifications!!!
Hey Zabra,
Thanx for your reply. I am trying to install the TNT 1620. But these notifications are very annoying. So far it looks good, but as far as performance goes - too early to tell.
Do you know how to at elast turn off the clonot, calnot and repllog notifications???
I'll try to install batt status now. Hopefully, it'll work better than the last time!
Phil
P.s. - what about registry edits? I would like to know if there are any that haven't been included on this rom.

A Few Problems - Texts, Vibration, Other Stuff

Hi all, I've had my HTC HD2 since about Jan/Feb this year. When I first got it, I loved it! However, the past few months I have hated it, yet managed to "bear with it".
For example, it takes an age to load a text message once I have 15-20+ texts from a contact. Once it's loaded it then takes an age to reply. So, for the past 3 months or so, I read the text, come out of it, compose new text, add the recipient, add the message etc and send. Not a major problem, but rather just be able to hit reply, and ta-da, start composing a reply.
Another problem, I'm unable to send picture messages! I managed to send a few when I first got it, but now I can't send or recieve them! Spoke to my mobile provider (Virgin Mobile) a few months ago, went through all the settings, and everything was set up correctly!
Today, the final straw, the vibration has stopped! Turned it off and back on, checked settings etc, nothing.
On top of that, I must get an error report almost daily! Sometimes I'll get 2 or 3 in a row! It's getting so bad, I daren't install any apps etc. At the moment, all it's used for is texting, talking, and Opera. Not exactly using it's full potential! Battery life is also dire, but that another issue....
Anyway, just got off the phone from Virgin Mobile, and they believe the slow texting is a software issue, and should contact HTC direct. They also thing the vibration may be related! (somehow I don't think so).
They suggested a possible software update. How do I do this? Where do I download it from etc? TBH, they were pretty useless and offered no help what-so-ever.
So, I'm now asking you guys. Please help me! Really thought I would love this phone, and the one my mate has (a few years old now), was what persuaded me to get one as I loved his. Yet since owning one, it's been nothing but a ball-ache, and just a paperweight TBH!
TIA
Mat
Country?
ROM version?
Radio Version?
you can check them by sliding all the way to the end and scroll down to about phone and software version?
The txt messaging thing is a big problem, screw Virgin they got no clue, the vibration could be software ya never no, if you're on sock (ie what came when you bought the phone) I would suggest a custom ROM so much better performance wise
I', on virgin in the UK there tech team are a freaking joke
Put a decent ROM on your phone and most of the issues will disappear. Especially the SMS one, which pee'd me off to no end when I was running stock ROM.
I'll get the info in a min. Everything is standard from when I first got it!

Live in Tapton, work in Brampton mate. You?
Live in North Wingfield, work in Sheffield....
So, how do I put a new ROM on my phone? Where do I get it from etc? Will I lose anything?
Look in the HD2 ROM Development forum, there's loads and loads of ROMS. Read this first though if you've never flashed a ROM before or could do a bit of damage. It's easy as pie though once you get your head round it.
cheers fella.... gonna have a read of that now
sorry for sounding dumb, but where do I download a ROM from? I have the excel sheet from that link, and I was thinking of this ROM:
ROM Link: [WWE] LEON v3.0 - OUT!! by sharky IIRC
when I click the link in his sig, it just takes me her
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=647407
but can't see any obvious download link
Hi.
