Setting/Opening protected *.csv files using VB.NET

Is there any source code where I can set password on *.csv files using VB.NET (not encrypting it)
And when i'm opening the file, how do I create a textbox for it to let me key in the password?
Files in csv format are plain text files. There is no way of proctecting the contents without encryption.
Your program can pretend the file is protected by asking username and password but this is of course not a real protection for the contents of the csv file.

PocketLock
Keep your sensitive files safe! PocketLock lets you password protect individual files or entire folders using powerful encryption technology. And it's easy to use -- just select a file or folder, enter a password, and your data is safe.
Easy: Encrypt files and folders in two steps.
Quick: Optional numeric PINs for quick entry.
Secure: Uses RSA encryption for maximum safety.
Convenient: Encrypt just the files or folders you want.
might be easier to just stop cheating on ur girl...lol

Restore contacts from a PIM-file

Hello!
I have a customer who erased all his contacts , but the PIM-file is still on hos device.
1: Is the PIM-file empty of information or is the old contacts left there?
2: Can You read back the contacts from the PIM-file in any way?
Best Regards! ML_123456
I assume you mean the pim.vol file in the root directory of the device?
This is the general data base file which contains your contacts, appointments, call log and some other PIM and SYNC related stuff.
When you delete a contact it is removed from the database so there is no way to recover it.
Unless your customer made a copy of the pim.vol file in a separate location you can not get his contacts back.
Hi levenum!
Thanks for your answer!
Best regards! / Martin

Contacts Folder somewhere????

Is there a folder somewhere that has contacts stored in it? It might be in some code or it might not, just looking for a way to send a file of contacts through email. I have SPB and know the other ways, but really want to find a folder with the information in it. Does it exist? Thank you.
Ok found it. it's pim.vol in the My Device folder. can't do much with it as it's basically read-only and cant even delete it. so copyin and pasting won't work as the original folder can't be written over or deleted. sure there is a workaround somehow...
If you sync with a computer, you can export everything to either individual VCF files through Outlook and then zip them all together, or export as a list of comma separated values. Not sure of the best way to do it phone-only, though.

password protected files on the hd2

Hi,
I want to keep some files on my phone in a folder which should only be accessible with a password. How can i do this? Is there any software that would integrate itself to the main os and do this automatically? Since the folder containing the files will be on the memory card, wont that make the files easily accessible? Please help.
Also, is there any way to set up some sort of automatic reminder for all birthdays and anniversaries from my contacts list?
