I have WM6 on a Cingular 8525 and have found the encryption for single files. Or you can zip a folder and encrypt that. Is there anyway to encrypt/put a password on an entire folder?

PocketLock
Keep your sensitive files safe! PocketLock lets you password protect individual files or entire folders using powerful encryption technology. And it's easy to use -- just select a file or folder, enter a password, and your data is safe.
Easy: Encrypt files and folders in two steps.
Quick: Optional numeric PINs for quick entry.
Secure: Uses RSA encryption for maximum safety.
Convenient: Encrypt just the files or folders you want.
might be easier to just stop cheating on ur girl...lol

I've been searching for such a program for some time now with little success.
Does anyone know about a program that would password lock a specific folder on my ppc?
Resco Explorer has built-in encryption. I don't think it locks folders, though. It locks and encrypts individual files. You could pick a folder to encrypt, but I think that would encrypt all files within the folder... not too sure.
So I want to clear my stored entrys. I go to the options and hit the clear button but it doesn't work. were is the file so I can edit it or delet it?
There are two files in the Windows directory:
1. eT9Cdb
2. eT9Rudb
Delete both of those files and your "stored entries" are now gone. By doing this you're reverting back to the ROM's stored words.
It is absurd that we have to do this method just to clear our stored entries rather than tapping on the "cleared stored entries" box in the input option. But nonetheless, HTC make great phones. *sigh*
Enough of my personal vendetta. This work for me (HTC Cruise) so it should work for you.
i tried deleting these but i cant! this is so annoying!
if you're using the file explorer it will not work. windows will detect it as a root file and will deny the deletion. you'll have to use resco explorer.
Hi there guys,
I have searched everywhere but i can find any solution for this.
I have a password protected .docx file on my pc,I have copied the file to my HD,but i cant open it using pocket word,i get the following message :"Password protected files are not supported"...
How can i open this file on my device? I want to keep it password protected.
Thanx in advance.
.doc/.docx psw files
I have same issue...cant find any solution !!!
I know it is not the same thing but I do as follows. I save the file without password and after sync I encript it with Resco File manager.
You have to do all in a short time, save the file without password, sync, encript (with auto delete the original), delete the original on computer and empty trash, just to be sure you do not leave open data on it.
Hi,
I want to keep some files on my phone in a folder which should only be accessible with a password. How can i do this? Is there any software that would integrate itself to the main os and do this automatically? Since the folder containing the files will be on the memory card, wont that make the files easily accessible? Please help.
Also, is there any way to set up some sort of automatic reminder for all birthdays and anniversaries from my contacts list?
Hello!
More portable USB drive and pendrive "not removable" type, always created $Recycle.bin folder.
How to fully disable $Recycle.bin folder create?
Need: plugged drive do not modify filesystem with $Recycle.bin or System Volume Information
Not need any reply this text: "hide hidden folders". Need real solution.
I have old patch to "Open file" window size set to any size, and patched explorer.exe (not registry mod, real file patch). Need real patch to disable folder creating.
Recycling disabled: all drive zero bytes and disabled.
All registry tips not working:
HKCU/Soft/MS/Win/Curr/Explorer/BitBucket/NukeOnDelete=1
Gpedit only disable "move to recycle bin", not disable folder creating. Not working.
Now created in all drive $Recycle.bin FILE with zero byte, now folder not created... all Windows starting (or delete files) say: Corrupted Recycle bin, recreate? ...popup message for all drive (with this fake file).
SysVolInfo:
Disabled search, disabled thumbnails create.
Available any solution, patch, customizes, manager, etc. for this problem?
Thanks!

Enable Recycle Bin for Removable Drives in Windows 11 Tutorial
The Recycle Bin provides a safety net when deleting files or folders. When you delete any of these items from a hard disk, Windows places it in the Recycle Bin and the Recycle Bin icon changes from empty to full. If you have multiple hard drives, partitions, or an external hard drive connected...

Not ok. I have... many USB pendrive builded HDD type, not "removable" type. And all removable external HDD recreated this folders.
Hi, I also tried all those registry mods and policies but nothing works on my Win7-x64. I found that $Recycle.bin folders on all volumes are created everytime explorer.exe process is started. But a quick look doesn't show that explorer.exe would contains $Recycle.bin string, so maybe it's obfuscated some way or it's in some DLL that explorer.exe calls. I wonder nobody cracked this crap yet...
