I've tried to upgrade radio my current verison was 3.16 i used RSU_V4.21 my telephone was connected to the PC all the time, after 2 reastarts I got 1% error on the phone and update was not succesful. on the boot screen veriosn was 4.21 but my radio was dead, no signal ... nothing... my 2003 rom verison is 4.01.16 please help

So I went through the Siemens upgrade utility to upgrade my phone to wm2003,...during the radio stack update, it failed, and the whole process failed....there was no longer a protocol or radio stack version when booting...
I have done a flash of the wm2003 software, but it just freezes on the boot screen, all it shows is the 'Designed for Windows Mobile' screen with the AT&T Wireless logo, with A.30.09 showing, G and R are both blank...
is it possible at all to Flash a Radio Stack? I can't connect to my device and run any rsupgrade stuff because it just sits in the boot screen...is it fried? or is there a solution???

If you can't access the device through USB ... AND ... you get "GSM error" in the boot loader screen ... AND ... you can't charge your device
then yes your RSU is damaged ... you better to send it to repair
for unlocking and upgrading I have done few things and made mistake

my problems and error now :
1. rom upgraded but device not unlocked.
2. I am not able to connect with all activesync versions, status icon shows connected with green highlight but I can not explore device from there.
3. my device model is converted from pw10b1 to pw10a1
4. my rom converted from 3.14.03 to 3.14.17
I am looking for :
My activesync not working and
I want to unlock device and want to upgrade device with wm2003.

1. For unlocking i would suggest downloading and installing this ROM:
ftp://xda:[email protected]/Wallaby/ROM/Special/special_rom_1.2.exe.zip
2. I think the activeSync-problem is temporarley. Which version are you using?
3. Device model is hardcoded in the ROM and those are just names.....
4. After installing a new ROM it´s normal that you have an other ROM Version on your device
5. Afetr unlocking with the Special Edition ROM you could install easily the WM2003 ROM....

currently I have installed activesync 4.71.1015.0
I have upgraded rom from activesync version 4.1.4841.0
while exploring device, getting error
"critical communication services have failed to start. Try resetting the mobile deice and then connect again."

At 1st I run onlipro hardspl1.1 for p3600i after that sync ur pda the will send u to the bootloader screen when install fail after that unpluck the pda and the restart the romupdateutility and last the HARDSPL successfully install inside.
WHEN GO INTO THE BOOTLOADER YOU WILL SAW

After that using same method go bootloader upgrade the radio version 1.56.70.11 also install succesfully
While going to bot the ROM inside through bootloader then run update utility
once starting to upgrade the rom 1 % shown the the pda auto disconnect and error message 270 shown
wth is this problem i read tons of comment but it is totalli invain
is there a diffrence between using window xp sp2 , sp 3 and vista

i was upgrading it to wm 6.every thing was fine.but then i try to upgrade it to 6.1
and active sync disconected at 60%
now when i turn on the phone i get cingular screen and

Your problem is NOT fatal. If you were able to start the flashing, you have enough to search and read through the forums on flashing. I have had the "RGB" screen problem happen to me. I read through the forums carefully and found the answers. Give it a shot.
Plug your phone in and flash "This ROM"

it's a G4 device and it has HARDSPL on it. I succesfully flashesed several roms and I wanted to update the radio rom. I flashed the Radio 2.71.11 witn the RUU 2.5.2 and it stucked for about 15-20 min. On the computer it was at 72% and on the mobile was at 70%, I disconected the cable and I wanted to try with another radio. What can I do now? Now it enters in bootloader and when I try to update the radio again it gives the 264 error connection.
now it works, I installed active sync again and now the radio upgrade ended well
