Today screen problem - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro General

For the last few weeks I have been experiencing a problem with the today screen in that it randomly disappears. Clicking on today from the start menu does nothing and the only way to get the screen back is to do a soft reboot. I installed the new o2 rom update hoping that this would clear my device and resolve the issue but within a couple of hours it happened again. I suspect that it may be caused by either calander+ or the magic button application but I cannot be sure. Has anyone else had this problem or got any ideas how to resolve it?

I got the same problem now and then.
I got the feeling is had something do to with Magic Button (a closer app). Just removed it - and now waiting for the thing to appear again (or not)

I think you're right. I've removed it too now. Fingers crossed!!

Phone refuses to starts

Hi,
For the second time in 3 weeks, my phone has refused to resume from hibernation.
I had to remove/replace the battery to have it back to life
Any clue/correction for that ?
Cheers
I had the same issue after installing SPB Keyboard demo. The phone did not go beyond the (white) HTC) screen, after reboot. Hard reset was the only way out. Hope you backed up your data.
Have a look through this thread. I'm not sure if they've found a solution yet, but it sounds like the same problem to me...

Screen alignment issue

Hi everyone,
Just want to ask if anyone has experienced screen alignment issue with nexus one. I have had the phone since last Thursday and for the last two days had an issue with screen alignment. It was completely out of order. Say for example on my Home screen there is a short cut for the browser by default, when i tried to press it i would get applications menu instead. I tried pressing near the top of the screen and it would then select the browser, which is not right. I also experienced similar alignment issue using settings menu.
The only way to solve it is to reboot the phone.
I have just performed factory reset and will keep an eye on the phone and will update this thread accordingly.
p.s there is also a thread on Google help forum. so if anyone notices this issue please post to http://www.google.com/support/forum...ff&hl=en&fid=2a024bb25d4496ff00047cead2b2c2ad
if a reboot fixed it its probably a software issue. howeve I have never experienced this so far.
i know exactly what u mean!! sometimes i'd be texting, all of a sudden it would bring up the "menu" or it would go home

S7 Edge becoming unresponsive

Hi guys
dont know if anyone else is experiencing this - i think i saw a few other fellows mentioning this but my s7edge has moments (every 2 weeks or so) when it goes completely unresponsive - it gets frozen on whatever page i am at that moment (weather, play store, Facebook or whatsapp) and nothing else works (not even physical buttons like back, task manager or worse - power off/restart button)
the only way to fix it is to simulate a battery removal (vol.down+power)
when restarting it goes back like nothing happened
I was hoping the update they roll would solve this but guess not
what is puzzling is that it doesnt seem to be hardware related, but i just cannot figure out what the F is going on
has anyone else experienced this or has any idea what could be the culprit?

This happened to me one day when I was charging the phone. The stopped.
Sent from my Star-Tac
The only time I've seen this was when trying to get Helium backup going (which I still can't get to work).
I would suspect you've got some app that's trying to do some background process and freezes up, or grabs all the phone's resources.

Home button unresponsive, lock screen comes on by itself.

Update: So today at work it decided to behave seemingly out of the blue.
Heya,
So I have a problem with my Note 4 that I just cannot figure out this time around. I found that the lock screen was turning itself on even when left alone on a table and on top of that the home button is not working. After I installed a security update I had put off installing the home button worked again for about 10 minutes or so. I figured it was a software problem so opted to factory reset the device. No problem getting into the recovery menu by holding power and volume up.
Once that was done though the problem persisted. I'm inclined to think it's hardware but I figured before I throw down money on parts I'd get a second opinion just in case I'm missing something.
It's a N910-P running 6.0.1 and April's security update. Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
My device is doing exactly the same thing all of a sudden... Seeing a few other threads with similar issues... I'm guessing a Google Play Services update, as the play store icon changed just about when it happened...

Capacitive buttons malfunction

Hi,
I am experiencing some problems with my new MI A1. Stock software and update to Dec performed without any problems 2 day ago. Phone bought a month ago with no major problems till yesterday when I noticed that foreground apps are getting closed.
The only explanation I can find is that the home button is getting to "pressed state" without any touch applied, leading to any open app to get send to background and home screen appears. Also, sometimes the home button has no effect. The behavior is not constant: sometimes apps don't close for a longer time, other times they are instantaneously closed.
So, right now the phone is practically unusable, every app I start is getting closed. I managed to do a factory reset but with no change.
Any ideas about what else I can try before sending it to service?
Since I am a new user I can not post link to the video I made so maybe you can access by adding /watch?v=qD6566OFQKA to youtube address.
Thanks!
The touch&display was replaced under warranty. So, hardware issue.
