I downloaded the 4.1 and installed instead of the active sync 4.0 and now I can not syn my SPV 5000 with my laptop. i UNINSTALLED AND RE INSTALLEE DTHE ACTIVE SYN 4.0 AGAIN but still I cant sync. my phone with my laptop.
My laptop cant detect my phone, the com ports seem to be messed up, can anyone help
Windows in stalls the phone but says that the device can not start

Does anyone know if i can connect my jasjar(M5000) to a XP PC and install the drivers nessesery (i guess they are on the companion CD) to be recognised, then install 3.8 and sync throw the USB cable and then try to set up a WiFi sync?
Is this possible to do or has anyone tryed it?, im sure in principle it can be done but thats not the way the real world is
Plus does anyone know of Win98 drivers for the JasJar, i can get it recognised as a mass storage device and copy stuff ok but i want to use activesync on a win98 PC with Active sync 3.8 on it

Hi,
I have a Trinity connected to a windows xp box via active sync 4.2.
Sometime over the last week or so I seem to have lost the ability to explore the trinity from the xp box (and hence copy over files).
When I click the explore link from active sync the explorer window shows my c drive, and the right link copy to device says that the device is not connected.
Synching still works, and I can browse the web from the phone via the link and I can still install programs to the phone.
Any suggestions on how to fix it?

First of all i really want to thank all the Helmi_c and all the developers; My BA is most updated running wm6.
Well much better than wm5 but I have some issues:
1. cant sync it with my PC in anyways (BT, usb etc), USB drivers are not working correctly.
2. sometimes when i pick or dial a call, i cant hear nething.
and last but not relevant to this, guys how do i stop my BA slider from falling down when I use keyboard.
1. Try delete the actual partnership in AS, sync again; if not reinstall AS on PC
2. No problem here with the sound.

I upgraded my XDA2s, customized it,backedup, then upgraded my brothers XDA2s and used my customized backup on his XDA2s.
Now my XDA connects fine, but his doesn't !!!
Both our XDa2s's are identical in everyway.
tried a hard reset and restore from another backup and still no luck!
we were trying to save time re-installing the same softwares.
tried deleting partnerships, no luck. tried spb backup and clone, no luck.
any ideas!
Do you get any error messages on AS? Can you browse the internet from device?

can anybody post usb drivers i think this is the problem cause my device isnt installed properly it says problem with inf file.
whoever is able to connect his device to xp desktop via active sync usb connection, please copy the drivers folder contents from program files in active sync folder.

Is your windows firewall enabled? Since WM6 activesync makes use of a LAN connection to sync with the PC, you must allow activesync trough the windows XP firewall, or disable the windows XP firewall completely...

When i try to connect my HTC Kaiser to active sync on laptop then ppc show me this message:
"to synchronize this device you must install activesync 4.5 or higher on your desktop computer"
The problem is that i have AS4.5 on laptop. I tried to reintall it but this not solve my problem. Any ideas?

I have XP...
After fresh install you need to start ActiveSync manual.
Go to Start, then run ActiveSync.
Make sure wcescomm.exe is running.
Problem is solved. It was firewall problem. When i configured rules for rapimgr.exe file then problem goes away. Thans for your help.
hey all, ive tried my best to search this site and get some help but i just dont understand why cant i connect my i-mate jasjar with the computer, i dont have the cs or any thing, i tried installing active sync4 but it wont run on my os, im using windows 7 32bit, please help me how can i connect my phone to pc via usb cable or bluetooth
For Windows 7, you need Windows Mobile Device Center, not Active Sync. Install that and it will work.
i did, it goes connecting for around a minute or two then again, connection error. please help wheather i need to update the phone or something
