MDA: MMS Inbox showing non-existent message - screen cap ins

Hi all,
As you can see below, my MMS Inbox is empty, but the Messaging application stated that I have 1 UNREAD message.

This also cause the Messaging Today Plug-in to say the same thing AND my notification light stays GREEN, indicating that there is a "new" message.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?
WM5 has sooo many bugs it's unbelievable..

No one have this problem?
At least for those PDA developers guru, can you point me to some registry keys that handle the "Messaging" app.?

Maybe someone can help me here:
Back before the ROM 2.17 is out, I can remove all T-mobile junks by doing a hard reset and then soft-reset before T-Mobile install the extended ROM. Afterwards, I can install the "MMS" program so that "MMS" is shown in Messaging.
So I figure that if I CAN remove the MMS program, I can clear the stuck "unread" message. However MMS program is not shown in Add/Remove program. How do I uninstall this MMS program? FYI, the .cab file is Shorcut-MMS1-CV-VOICE-TMO-US-10Nov05.CAB

cosequences of disabling "HTC Messaging"...

In order to solve the problem with SMS not being sent reliably, I disabled HTC messaging, which successfully solved the SMS problem.
But, now I have a new problem. Each time I receive an SMS, it goes to the Taskbar notificaions (as seen in the attached image), and in order to remove it from there I have to press on it and mark it as read.
This is very annoying. Is there any way to disable new SMS messages from going there in the first place ?

I'm not sure what you mean. I have disabled HTC mesaging and don't have any problem receiving SMS messages.
BTW, I don't use theaded messaging.

When I had the HTC messaging app, SMS messages didn't go inside the taskbar notifiaction. Now they do. Can this be disabled ?

My problem here is that I installed SPB mobile shell 3.5, and without HTC messaging the Mobile Shell SMS counter doesn't dismiss messages after I read it. In order to zero the counter I need to go to the taskbar notification and dismiss each message individually.

um....does anyone know weather it will block the call all together or will it cut the call after the first ring?

Thanks for your efforts. This works - kinda. Stops the call (after a ring and a half) and the caller goes to messagebank where they can still leave a message - that you have to delete later. Notification of calls still come through. Nice interface, simple to use and I suppose it does the job - saving you from picking up the call to the blocked caller.
I do the same by naming and saving the caller as PEST in contacts. Same outcome.

The caller must think we refused the call because it calls one time and half.
Would be nice if it goes just to the message.

Disabling Balance Alerts

My operator (Vodafone) has this stupid thing where they show balance alerts after sending each and every message! I text a lot, and it's very irritating. Do any of you have a solution for it? Somehow disabling it? Very annoying.

Bumping! There has to be way!

The below reg edit was said to have worked to disable the balance alerts for att prepaid before they gave customers the option to disable them in the system. Like ne other reg edit/software use at ur own risk & backup ur files before installing.
add the following registry key
HLKM/ControlPanel/Phone
New value: SuppressUSSD := DWORD(1)
wait a minute or two (important, or the registry entry will disappear), then reset the phone
This will disable all USSD messages including star services.

I have Vodafone in the netherlands and I can disable this in the options by calling 1200 (free service number for customers), i don't remember the menu choices, but it should be there.

If I choose 7000, the VOIP software dials the number, and if I choose Use Mobile, Skype dials the number
I have to minimize skype by pressing back or home button and dial again for the call to proceed normally.
How can I stop those two from taking over direct phone calls?

Now this is getting extremely ridiculous. That pesky window is appearing almost every time I dial a number!
Is rooting the only way to get rid of this? Or is there an alternate option of preventing Skype and VOIP to takeover outgoing calls?

Have you tried clearing defaults? Go into settings, then application manager, then all, then select Skype, there should be a button called clear defaults. See if that works.

Tried it but didn't help.
Anyways, somehow the problem has been solved and only thing I remember is a friend trying his account in my phone. After I logged back in, there was no issue anymore.
