Question for developer genuises

Hey,
I am wondering if it is possible to create Today screen plug in that displays how many calls have been missed and if less then a defined number (say 5) displays the callers names/number if known? Has something like already been done? If not, how hard would it be to implement this? Any clues to help me to start this project?

From a technical point of view, this is very easy to do on WM5 using the state and notification broker.
DKToday might also be helpful and is free.

Any idea which skin I should use to get the functionality I need? MOst of the skins just show indicator or number of missed calls. I want to see whose calls I have missed from the Today screen.

PhoneAlarm skins can be built to show this info as standard (most skins have this feature hidden until "maximsed". But there's nothing to stop you doing it by standard)

BaselsAntiFlooder V1.0 Released!

The MonkeyUpdates Team felt kinda sorry for the people getting a flood of SMS messages from BaselsSMS'er, so we basically made a Anti SMS flooding software.
When BaselsAntiFlooder is activated it will take full control of your SMS messages. With other words it will be your SMS inbox instead of the built in Windows text reader. When you've recieved a new message you will get a notification (as usual!) saying that "You've got a new SMS".
To read SMS messages you have to click on the desired message in the console and it will show up in a window.
If you're getting a bunch of flood SMS, BaselsAntiFlooder will save one copy of the SMS and remove the rest or with other words will block their interception.
In the past we've got complains about BaselsReply and BaselsSMS'er not having a minimize button. You don't have to worry about BaselsAntiFlooder! It got a minimize button and a System Tray icon. When you minimize BaselsAntiFlooder, a system tray icon will show up. To bring BaselsAntiFlooder back, just double tab with your pen on the icon.

How t black out screen on call receipt

I would like to know how to just get my phone to "black out" the screen when I receive and "Accept" a phone call, like one of the s2u2 settings.
That one feature would be great because I can't get s2u2 working consistently on my phone (HTC Sprint Vogue).

try using 1.16 it seems to work the best for me on my touch

i tried it but s2u2 (also 1.16) does not work well on my Vogue.
Isnt there an app that can just black out the screen like that one particular feature in s2u2? AC figured it out for his app...

I have just installed a rom it has a slide down cover (see below ) to hide keypad is that the sort of thing ?

I have the vogue as well and thats why I told you to try the s2u2 1.16 version I haven't had any issues with it, I am not aware of any app that exists just for the blackout function alone

This is working fine. When you make a call, it vibrates and turn the screen off.
To end call, juste push the red button.

GS5 Caller ID readout.

I like voice commands, and voice answering. I HATE the read out, here's why:
I get a lot of calls from delivery companies and service technicians, its always a different number, so I don't save any in my phone. The readout is loud and kills my ring tone. I NEED that ringtone to tell if its a work call or a personal call.
On my previous phone (The GS4) the two options were separated and i didn't have this issue, i had remarkably little issues with it.
TLR I need Voice answering without caller ID readout.

I appreciate your response, but you didn't read my first sentence, or the last.
Going to that menu and disabling voice answering to get rid of the caller id readout is NOT the solution.
Anything can be modded on this phone, so I know it can be done.

What does the icon of a phone next to a circle with a line through it signify?

Hello,
I don't know where I can look up icons. I have a V20 and now I notice I have a phone next to a circle with a line through it. My ringer is enabled and it rings when I get calls. Not sure what that indicates.

It is the area above where screen capture grabs - the smaller top bar which I think is a separate screen.

Very interesting. I have a H918 TMO and have never seen this even when in airplane mode or sound off. Which phone and what firmware do you have?

The V20. Latest official firmware.

It may be you have a missed call, new voicemail messages, or that you don't have VoLTE or VoWiFi (Voice over LTE & Voice over WiFi) working/enabled/supported. They provide HD voice, better latency, and clarity over normal calls. What phone model is your V20? What carrier?

Thanks I have the Verizon V20 - I think they call it something like the V9995. I have HD voice enabled - very happy with that feature as I spend a LOT of time on the phone. I'll try clearing out the voicemails.
