Hi all,
As you can see below, my MMS Inbox is empty, but the Messaging application stated that I have 1 UNREAD message.

This also cause the Messaging Today Plug-in to say the same thing AND my notification light stays GREEN, indicating that there is a "new" message.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?
WM5 has sooo many bugs it's unbelievable..
No one have this problem?
At least for those PDA developers guru, can you point me to some registry keys that handle the "Messaging" app.?
Maybe someone can help me here:
Back before the ROM 2.17 is out, I can remove all T-mobile junks by doing a hard reset and then soft-reset before T-Mobile install the extended ROM. Afterwards, I can install the "MMS" program so that "MMS" is shown in Messaging.
So I figure that if I CAN remove the MMS program, I can clear the stuck "unread" message. However MMS program is not shown in Add/Remove program. How do I uninstall this MMS program? FYI, the .cab file is Shorcut-MMS1-CV-VOICE-TMO-US-10Nov05.CAB
Solved!

Hi People,
This is my first text so be nice! I have tried searching the forums but could not find any other note of this issue.
I have a phantom text in my outbox, and cannot find a way of deleting it, have tried clearing my account but that doesn't seem to work!
Anyone got any ideas, have just got the phone how I like it and really don't want to do a hard reset, I have attached screen shots to show the problem better!

Hi,
I had the same problem with a message in the inbox on a t-mobile compact 3, it has reset the count in the folder list but the home screen still says '1 unread text message'.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Soft Reset your device ~
@ nanastas
Thanks man
The MonkeyUpdates Team felt kinda sorry for the people getting a flood of SMS messages from BaselsSMS'er, so we basically made a Anti SMS flooding software.
When BaselsAntiFlooder is activated it will take full control of your SMS messages. With other words it will be your SMS inbox instead of the built in Windows text reader. When you've recieved a new message you will get a notification (as usual!) saying that "You've got a new SMS".
To read SMS messages you have to click on the desired message in the console and it will show up in a window.
If you're getting a bunch of flood SMS, BaselsAntiFlooder will save one copy of the SMS and remove the rest or with other words will block their interception.
In the past we've got complains about BaselsReply and BaselsSMS'er not having a minimize button. You don't have to worry about BaselsAntiFlooder! It got a minimize button and a System Tray icon. When you minimize BaselsAntiFlooder, a system tray icon will show up. To bring BaselsAntiFlooder back, just double tab with your pen on the icon.

In order to solve the problem with SMS not being sent reliably, I disabled HTC messaging, which successfully solved the SMS problem.
But, now I have a new problem. Each time I receive an SMS, it goes to the Taskbar notificaions (as seen in the attached image), and in order to remove it from there I have to press on it and mark it as read.
This is very annoying. Is there any way to disable new SMS messages from going there in the first place ?

I'm not sure what you mean. I have disabled HTC mesaging and don't have any problem receiving SMS messages.
BTW, I don't use theaded messaging.
When I had the HTC messaging app, SMS messages didn't go inside the taskbar notifiaction. Now they do. Can this be disabled ?
My problem here is that I installed SPB mobile shell 3.5, and without HTC messaging the Mobile Shell SMS counter doesn't dismiss messages after I read it. In order to zero the counter I need to go to the taskbar notification and dismiss each message individually.
I need some help to resolve an issue with Messaging that is not SYS related as it occurs on all builds.
I also doesn't appear to be OEM related, as I have gone back to an old known working copy and still have an issue...so it appears either something is corrupted or damaged in my EXT, yet I cannot find it.
When you open a message the screen displays striped lines before the message appears, the more messages you open the worse it gets - either the message doesn't show unless you scroll or touch the screen or the message appears as a ghosted image. This happens either using Manila2D or not, so it can't be Manila2D related. It also can't be hardware because it happens on all the phones that install it.
Below is a photo of the lines after you click on the message to open it.
I hope one of you gurus can guide me to the correct package as I am unsure what packages interfere or are linked to messaging.

Okay it looks like when I have the HTC Message Enhancement installed that the problem occurs...but this package I have replaced and it still has an issue.
I have also replaced HTC Framework and DShow. Are there any other dependancies I missed?
Can anyone tell me what the Message Enhancement really does and is it really necessary?
Thanks
DT

am using EzInput 1.5.33955 + XT9 IME ATNT 1.5.33988
I used IME EzInput 2.0.355553.03 before but I had a problem when using the qwerty keyboard (am using HTC Fuze), most of the time, it automatically appends "." in every word I type which is very frustrating!
so this EzInput 1.5.33955 + XT9 IME ATNT 1.5.33988 making my ROM freeze due to that auto contact suggestion and when I try to create a new SMS message with a proper contact name and number selected from the auto contact suggestion, what appears in my inbox is
1 (1)
my SMS here
instead of
<Contact Name> (1)
my SMS here
You probably have too many contacts! LoL
