Hi!
I know its available for non-WM5 system
Anyone knows where to get Today plugins for Soft Reset and PowerOff programs
I do not require bundling with other main programs just only simple plugins.
Thanks

http://www.pocketgear.com/software_detail.asp?id=4692
I have been using this software without any problem in my Dopod 900
I don't get it. Why would you pay $3.99 to shut off the device?
You can use my VJKeyPress with a command line 223 to power off the device, as indicated here:

thanks vijay555, now my universal shutdowns right.

No problem, I solved it myself
This has nothing to do with your problem but, I noticed in your screen capture that your top bar is customised, can you please tell me what software you used to achieve this

it happens sometimes, but not sure what caused it. Normally, a soft reset will get your Bluetooth back.

I have IPDashboard, Agenda Fusion and Wisbar Advance 2 installed in my Jam. I'm having problems with my PDA not ringing(or vibrating) when in stand-by and need to do a soft reset to enable it again(ringing function). I missed several calls already and I decided to upgrade to 1.06 ROM. i installed the same set of apps and got the same problem. I did a hardreset and have not installed any of the said app and now my Jam works like it should be.
I'm just wondering if any of you are having the same issues that I have and what applications currently installed in your Jam.
WisBar Advance2 is known to have caused problems with Phone Edition devices.
The guy at Lakeridge is even kind enough to inform anyone about this in the middle of the front page on the wisbar download site:
"(Please note that this is not yet compatible with PocketPC Phone Devices)"

stupid me i missed that.. i've used it with my iMate and 6315 before but I dont remember having that problem
thanks!
I had the same problem with Wisbar.
In the Lakeridge forum there is a beta version that solves that problem.
Works for me.
(In the new beta there is also a working signal strength meter.)
i tried the beta.. so far so good. i just can't have a PDA without WA
task bar replacement for Magic Button
Does anyone know of a good task manager/closer that doesn't cause lockups and screen freezes?
I tried using magic button, but its buggy as hell, same with wis bar advance.
If I don't use any task manager, my jam is jamming. no soft reset or lock up issues.
Please help.
thanks
WA 2.0.14 beta works fine with my Jam(as of now). no lock ups or anything. i just cant find any task manager with feature set as WA thats why Im sticking with it(and great support too)

Hi dnp_now,
I'm using vbar (can be found here: http://www.vieka.com/vbar.htm) as well as TillanoSofts SmallMenu (http://www.tillanosoft.com/ce/smenu.html) for switching between apps and closing them on my german MDA compact.
Both of them are running at the same time and are also linked to one hardware button by VITO ButtonMapper (free version for two actions per button is included in a Cebit-Software package available here: http://www.mobile2day.de/cebit/).
This combination is very practible, because I can start and close every program installed on my MDA using the hardware buttons and dont have to use the stylus:
One tap of the hardware button opens SmallMenu with which I can start the programs and switch between already opened apps, two taps on the same button opens vbar, with which I can close the programs (also those running in the background!).
So one-handed operation is possible without any problem. The only downer is that vbar cant' be used in landscape mode, i.e. better close it when switching to LS and reactivate it when you switch back to portrait mode again.
Hope this helps,
greets, BGK[/url]
I would suggest SPB PocketPlus. Very stable, and well worth the money.
jam keeps turning on when connected via activesync
Hello,
Does anyone know why my jam keeps turning on when its connected via activesync?
I put it on standby, then a few minute later it turns on, and try to sync with my desktop. I'd rather have it on standby most of the time.
thanks
Is there a way to keep my JASJAR keyboard backlight on permanantly whilst it is open? Keeps going off after 10 seconds or so, but I want it on permanantly cos it looks cool in my Brodit cradle at night.
Our trusted reseller MadMonkeyBoy has this registry hack easily available as a CAB file on this page:
http://www.dweiniger.com/tips/jasjar.shtml
Would be better if you could turn it on/off with a button - any ideas

I tried this on my Qtek 9100 (the same tip exist for k-jam/wizard) but it doesn't work! Any ideas??
Tried it on a 9100 and it works for me. Did you do a reset after you changed the settings? Also what apps are you running and I can do some work on it for you.

Yes, I did soft reset it several times...
I'm running Pocket Plus, besides that here is the content of my Startup folder:
poutlook.lnk
sddaemon.lnk
CapNotify.lnk
Init_Tray.llnk
Services.lnk
spb GPRS Notify.lnk
PQz.exe
PS. I'm running Swedish version of Wm5.
Hi,
i want to use PQz which can remap some keys of the HW keyboard to be CTRL or ALT. So CTRL-C and CTRL-V as on the big brother - PC - is able.
Unfortunatly i get an error message after starting PQz:
Keyboard Hook failed
At first i thought that is Cap-Notify causing the problems and have renamed it from the autostart folder. But it seems that this is not the problem.
Has anybody the progi up and running? For a complete installed prog list of my device see below.
Here are the links to PQz:
http://www.nicque.com/PQz/DOC/index_e.htm

Yes it works for me on my Qtek 9100 with PQz not PQzII unfortunatly.
Have you try to install PQz after a hard reset to see if you have the same message with no other apps install. If not try after to install one app after another to see the one who is hooking the keyboard.
No problems here using PQZII on my 8125 with the 2.17 ROM.

Which apps have you installed? Anyone not which is on my list?
And what apps have you in your Autostart folder?

I have tried PQy II only. I have deactivated all "critical" apps (Magicbutton, Smallmenu, Smartskey, Capsnotify etc.) to see if this has an impact on PQz2 - but it worked not at all :x
What error message did you get during using PQzII. The same as mine?
I will give PQz one a try
I have solved the problems:
It was PocketBreeze. I have checked the option: only PocketBreeze uses DPAD in the general settings section. After unchecking it, PQz2 works like a charm.
Use with CapsNotify?

Wow! Good catch! Saved me some trouble. (Mine wasn't bombing but D-Pad was inoperable)
Here's another issue. It seems to mess up the CapsNotify tweak. A little square shows up instead of the dot or the circle. Anyone find a setting that takes care of that?
Hi all,
Can anybody please upload the cab file for the softreset (PSshut) for WM6
Thanks
mOrph
what do you mean bro? do you want to soft reset? you dont need any cab to do that... just do it like anyone did that... (put your stylus at the hole.. you know where it is right?) but you can try 3rd party software like memaid, etc it has the options to soft reset ur device...
cheers
evo
there are two light applications that i know which can perform a soft reset: pbar and psshutxp
the latter is attached. pbar is in the development and hacking section.
