Flash Malfunction 8125

A couple nights ago, just after I turned off the lights to go to sleep, the room was illuminated with this white light. Turns out my phone's flash was turned on somehow. I opened the camera app to see if the flash was on...it wasn't. When I turned it on, the light got much brighter. I shut the phone completely off and the flash light would still kind of blink then stay on. The light isn't as bright as it is when the actual flash is turned on in the camera app. I had to pull the battery completely to get it to shut off. The next morning I put the battery back in and instantly the flash light flickered and came back on. It seems like if I enable the flash in the camera app it will stay off for a while, but it seems to always come back on at some point. Anyone else with this problem? If not, I guess I can try a hard reset, followed by a return to cingular.

I have exactly the same problem and my xda mini s is just 1 week old!
Does anybody knows any reason for this behaviour?Or any solution?
I am afraid I have to return the device back to O2.-
Also I saw that I do not have any o2 stuff preinstalled on my mini s.I got it in germany a week back,is it normal that o2 has stopped delivering the o2 stuff in the latest versions.What I see is just the splash screen when the device starts up.
Any in info/advice would be v. obliging!

My 8125 start to do the same thing. Have you guys figured it out what's wrong and how to fix this?
I've tried soft-reset/hard-reset, loaded new ROM, took battery out and leave it for a while... but the problem is still there.

Retured the device
I returned the device and got a new one,now the problem is no more.
Guys if this behaviour exists on your device then its a malfunction in the device ..o2 guy confirmed this too me..Return this immediately!

luckly i was within 30 days and i returned it.

Unfortunately, it's been more than 30 days since i got this phone. I guess i will have to call cingular and request a warranty exchange.

Power Problem !!!Help Please !!!

The problem is that when I'm working with device in can turn of by it self and don't turn on when i put in changer red led glows after some time it can turn on by itself ... I think the problem is in power keys that are marked by 1 in picture or power controller 2.

I have a problem , when i tried to update my device it erased rom and when it started uploading os it shut down and error mesage apeared i don't knew what to do help me please!!!

I finaly downgrade to wm2003se rom but problem doesn't desapeare...This pda every time shutdown it self when i take battery and put it back it don't turn on.I need to whait and after some time it can tur on by itself
I don't knew what to do maybe someone here knew electronics
and can hel me with this problem...
Or may be i can find somewhere electronical scheme of mda or of mda's power...

i also have this problem, i also change a new battery, same problem.
it's only operate for a while (3mins - 1hour ) when i lucky,
after that restart, restart....can't load windows....
any Master can't help.

I need to find power controller but i don't knew where to get it...

My O2 xda ii also has such a problem. Also the phone couldn't last for 8 hrs in standby mode.

I'll try to replace power controler if I find it and post here results !!!

wonder if anyone can help me.
Ive had a few problems with my phone ever since i stared to change the roms on it. Something i have just put up with as it goes with the flow. Anyway just recently my phone is really being a pain no matter what rom i have installed . It just turns off or freezes and has also now started to play silly games like all of a sudden everything starts opening on the phone, and sometimes the screen dimms to black then goes off and wont turn on unless i leave the battery out for a good five mins. anybody got any ideas about this all help would be welcomed.
JUst updated the Radio rom to the lastest one i could find on here seems to have helped a bit.

Have you disassembled it or got it wet? One of the hardware buttons may be stuck. Are they all working?

No all the buttons work ok mate. this evening ive tried a different rom and it seems to be ok ill run it for a few days see if it improves or goes back to being a pain.
I was wondering if it could be the battery its about 12 months old now (due an upgrade an dthinking of the diamond), Phone normally gets fully charged every couple of days.

Please help...Magician shuts down by itself.

Hi there. I hope someone could help me with my problem.
My O2 Xda II Mini shuts down by itself only when the main battery is approximately below 60%. I can hardly turn it on again because it will shut down again during the booting. I do sometimes manage to get through the booting stage, but few minutes later it shuts down itself.
I have replaced my main and backup battery to new ones, I also have upgraded my Mini to T-Mob 1.13 WWE Big Storage ROM.
Can anyone shed some light to this ? Please help me...

Can't switch on my HTC

Hello
I have been runing for a year divers ROM with always a successful upload/installation. Can't remember my last ROM but it was install something like December 2009.
It has been working greatly since that last upload.
Today I found my HTC touch HD off, try to turn it on, stays off. Charged the battery, off. Change for a full battery, off. tried to Hard reset (rear red button), off
So basically I can not switch on my HTC.
Any input, tips to reset the thing, or it is simply dead ??
