Just checking to see which people have had sd card erasures with which ROM.
I have had sd card erasures with 4.00.05.
I have had erasures on the 4.00.05 and 4.00.10 ROMs. So far (knock on wood) I haven't had any problems with the 4.00.16.
That being said, it seems like when it is about to erase your card, everthing gets really slow and it stops responding. I've had that start to happen once or twice under the new rom, but I've popped out the card and done a soft reset. Put the card back in after that and all is well.
I am not sure if it really was getting ready to self destruct, but it was slowing down.
Had no problems under 4.00.05 and 4.00.10 This morning my sd card was erased under 4.00.16 Have just restored my data and locked the damn sd card.
SD Erasure
I have had mine erase under 4.00.5 but so far so good under 4.00.11.
Just idea: Is anybody have "spontaneous SD erasure" problem wit NO SUNDISK SDs ?
I had "spontaneous SD erasure" with Panasonic SD
ROM v. 4.00.05
And since moment upgraded ROM 4.00.16 not yet
SD Erasure
It's gone again for me....under 4.0.11 this time....am going to try swapping from a 256 card to 128 today to see if it makes a difference....Any else had any revelations as to what's causing it?
SD Erasure
Same problem today with Sandisk 128 meg SD Card.
Hmmm..its strange.
I never have a problem with any of the 1.2 4.05 and 4.11 roms.
Being a 32MB unit I have virtually no prog installed in main memory but the kitchen 4.11 is fully packed until 2k remaining.
Could it be one of the programs in your machine?
Try not installing any.
Anyone else with no problem? Please speak up.

Erasures under 4.00.05, 4.00.11

FYI, I've been running rom version 4.00.16 (plain vanilla version, no rom kitchen additions), with a minimal number of programs installed for a couple weeks now. No SD losses yet. I am thinking there must still be some software that's not compatible with WM 2003 that's causing the problems for people.
Another problem - can't format any card under WM2003... I thought that it was caused by FlashFormat (I thought it's not compatible with WM2003). But with the new version of FlashFormat for WM2003 the same problem... Has anyone this problem too?
Hmmm can't say that I've actually tried to format a card under 2003. I always use my card reader for that.
Today I have "spontaneous SD erasure" with Panasonic SD 256MB
ROM version. 4.00.16 -Crazy

Who can find this bug???
Are you a hero :?:
Waiting for Developers  or somebody :?:
Thank,
Yesterday again... And today again! That's impossible! But I've found something that may be interresting. So I have a question - do you remember if you have performed a soft reset at the day the card was erasured?
Because - I have... And it looked like the system boot last longer before I found the card is erasured...
What about the others?
QUESTION FOR VAN:
------------------------
Do you have a plain version like GregP74 or you have cooked your own in the kitchen?
from the J. kitchen
10 days no problem
Today try to upgrade clean ROM 4.00.16 but kitchen is not working now :?: :?: :?:
Hm, I want to detect where the problem can be... Can all of us build a list of apps you have included to your ROMs?
Maybe some application is not really fully cpmpatible with WM2003, as someone said...
Thank you
@wuffi
Maybe you are right
I made last soft reset and It seems little bit longer than normal
I had "spontaneous SD erasure" with Toshiba SD
ROM v. 4.00.11 (7-10 days after ROM upgrade).
I'm thinking of upgrading my o2 XDA to WM2003, it is currently unlocked and I am using the Orange network (UK)
My current Radio Version is : 4.21.00, with 3.17.03 ROM.
Is it possible to just upgrade the ROM and not the radio stack?
If I do this am I definatley still going to be able to make phone calls once upgraded?
I have NO SD Card at present, but am I right in thinking there is a method of upgrading without an SD card?
And one last thing, if it all goes t1ts up I assume I would be able to downgrade back to my current rom.
Many Thanks
You can upgrade without the sd card. Just download from jeffs kitchen the .exe and it will upgrade while synched to the pc, it will not affect your radio stack. I would suggest getting an sd card, I backed up my original rom to sd and it has got me out of problems. Scan the rom upgrade pages for all the advice you will ever need on the subject.
How to upgrade T-mobile wit bootloader ? I haven't any prog, and haven't SD card. T-mobile cannot accept Programme A "connection error"
You have nothing, you do nothing!
or ask an expert to do it without risk!
Ok, one years ago I upgraded this O2 with bootloader + serial cable. Now, I upgrade to t-mobile firmware and can not accept programme A. I cant remember what is the name of software (serial upgrede, with bootloader)
Ok first go to Start, Settings, System, Device Information and post whats listed as this will give us some insight in to your device.

Your XDA version cannot work with programm A.
you need buy SD card and SD card writer!
You don't have these things, so you cannot do anything!
but a usb sdwriter really dont cost all that much
nor does a sd flash card unless you want it to be bigger then 128MB
Ohh ****.... so, it is impossible to flash with serial or usb cable and bootloader 5.14 ? Yesterday it was a PW10A1.....
anyone have 3.12 or earlier PPC version in .nbf file ? I have 32 mb SD card, but 3.17 is bigger than 32 mb. (32.2)

I have 3.08.09 ROM!
You must use TMO2003.exe update program.
When it run, it will install all file on c:\program files\ruu\..
It will check rom version on c:\program files\ruu\english\NK.nb1
When it chech rom pass copy your own rom(o2 or other ....) to c:\program files\ruu\english\ then press Next.
When you finish rom update you must run o2 program B to update your radio stack.
I unlocked my Atom Exec hidden partition and now that partition has been lost.
Now my storage has 116MB as picture attached here.
Could some one help me please!
The only way to solve this is by a complete reflash of the same ROM or newer, which would replace the contents of your hidden partition in the process. You have to download the official DSUU for your Atom Exec from O2's site, and run it while the device is connected through Activesync.
(I guess this is why the hack ROM of the Exec for the original Atom doesn't work right, eh?)
"Ultimate Chicken:
The only way to solve this is by a complete reflash of the same ROM or newer"
Thank you!
I tried reflash Atom-Exec rom 20060721B1WWE but flash rom only write new rom data, not create a partition as factory default. So the same error occurred.
Is there a partition tool for Atom Exec like Bigstorage for O2XDAII?
Normally the rom comes complete with extended rom. Is that a hack version u r using?
I flashed the rom 20060721B1WWE 3 day ago, every thing is OK but it is not stable.
After a hard reset, it lost extended rom (hidden storage). Now I can't run O2 camera and radio apps. I found out that storage memory increased to 116MB. It mean that the hidden partition been erased and gave space to storage.
Sad!
Kept trying reflash Atom-Exec with rom 20060721B1WWE. Proplem solved.
Thank you!
Help Please!
My Cingular 8125 won't properly load the official Cingular 2.25 ROM.
It constantly gets stuck loading @ 85%. I think the Splash screen memory address
range in the DOC chip is corrupted. I can only load Button ROM & WM6 ROMs, but
not the official ROMs.
After much, much, much reading I believe re-installing the ROM from an SD card
through the MTTY will be able to 'uncorrupt' the memory address.
Does ANYONE have experience with mini-SD card ROM installs?
If anyone is willing to help, simply copying your ROM to the SD card through
MTTY will create an image to the card. Would you please consider emailing
the image so I can load it into my SD card? Or if you live in the Sacramento, CA
area we can get together? It would be MUCH appreciated
as I don't have the money to but a new phone!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance!
