I have a Qtek 9100. I have seen that other people have problems using the bluetooth voice dial when the device is in standby. Not only do I have this problem, but I am unable to use OBEX file transfers when it is in standby.
Using my iBook I can see my Qtek as an available bluetooth device. I get the standard dialog stating that this file type is not supported, should I send anyway (always the same question, always the same answer). When the device is in standby, however, I then get "The file transfer failed: internal error"
If I turn my device on, I go through the first two steps from above and the file transfers perfectly.
Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions to the bluetooth dialing problem yet?
I have:
ROM Version 1.1.7.5
Radio Version 1.1.10
ExtRom Version 1.1.7.105
I have found only deltalock solution.
but I imagine the battery drains quite quickly like this.
How come some 9100/K-Jam users don't have this problem?

HELP! i've spent an hour looking thru bluetooth posts for someone having the same problem but no luck. here is what happens: i'll be on the phone, using my motorola HS810 bluetooth headset, and 5 minutes into the call the ppc will auto-power off. the phone call stays connected and i can hear the caller on the bluetooth headset but they can't hear me.
so, when the ppc auto powers off the phone works fine (as it should) but bluetooth drops. the only solution i have is set the ppc to not auto powe off, but then a calender reminder pops up, i don't see it, and my battery drains.
is there a way to set the ppc to not power off while a phone call is connected?
any ideas?
used to happend to me..
updated the rom which solved the problem.
great to hear, i've been reading up on upgrading my rom. all the posts i've followed say i will require 'romupdate.exe'. becasuse the read me file is in german for the mda rom upgrade i found on the site i cannot tell if ths file is inclueded in the zip or not. do you know if i need to download rom upgrade software to perform this operation or is it part of the zip package?
thanks
Hi,
I'm using ROM version 1.03.00 WWE on my I-mate Jam. Which rom is required to avoid the 8 minute bluetooth mic loss?
Thanks,
GP
I have this problem. When unit is in powersafe mode, when I press main buttom on my BT headset, device doesn't wake up. That makes impossible to use voice dialing while device in the the sleep mode.
I've tried:
GG Telecom
HBH-610
HBH -608
Moto H500
Anyone else?
As I only use the headset in the car its not a problem as I always charge in the car so the unit is always on. I have noticed though that it does not wake the device. I think I-mate make a refernce to it somehere as a fix pending
I have exactly the same issue. In other posts it has been mentioned that people have replaced teh built in voice dial facility with Microsoft Voice Command. I wonder if the same problem persists when using MS Voice Command?
yes its true blue tooth does not wake up our wizards. but considering before when most of us had jams and we where trying to hack our way to bluetooth dialing . this should be a small hill to climb. all we have to do is wait for one of the developers from this site to get one of these beauties and we should be ok
Voice Command 1.5 does not wake it up either. Plus it causes other weird stuff to happen like keeping your bluetooth connection up until you power off your headest or restart the bluetooth service on the handheld. Moreso depends on which headset you have.
BTW, Latest T-Mobile ROM fixed this porblem. Voice dialing works now and wakes up device.
I have a solution to the bluetooth wake up
I have created a fix for this problem. Thus far it works with the default Voice Speed Dial and can be modified to accomodate something else like Voice Command or other.
I have only tested this on a Qtek 9100, but am sure it will work with other Windows Mobile 5.0 devices if they have the same problem.
This will require the Microsoft Compact Framework 2.0 to be installed. Aside from that it is a single executable and registry entry that will fix the wakeup problem.
I developed this myself so if anyone is interested please let me know.
I will not be giving this away, but anyone intested can let me know and I will work out details and modify program for you to accomodate whichever application you are using for voice dial.
Thanks

This problem does not exist in newer roms.
No need for any fix - simply install a new rom.
I have heard
I have seen the posts. However I am still unable to get an update for my Qtek 9100 WWE. I don't know where to get the updates. On the xda-developers FTP site I don't see any update for WWE except for T-Mobile UK which is not for me. I bought this phone here in the US (not from a carrier) with the typical first release versions. For me all is well aside from the bluetooth wakeup which I have read has been fixed with newer ROM updates. This would be more intended for people in my same situation. If you know where the update can be obtained I'm sure you will help a bunch of other people trying to get the Qtek 9100 updates for WWE. Also I have read that that T-Mobile update on the FTP doesn't have a radio update and also doesn't have AKU2 which is what I am awaiting Microsoft to release.
Is anyone else finding that their bluetooth is really slow at sending and receiving items. Also that there is no way to send items direct to a contact that is in your partnership list, you have to search for them every time you want to send something. If someone has found ways around these problems, please let me know.
an adaption of the Blue angel's bluetooth interface would be lovely. It had loads of options, and let you explore remote devices. This is just like the XDA2.
Would it be possible to port the BA software onto the wizard? I think it uses a different BT stack.
they were able to port the wizards rom to run on a blue angel. I guess they should be able to use the blue angels bluetooth on a wizard.
Please help - is so annoying
Ok, after a little research i found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=33532 .It has an app which i installed and has helped a little. I can now send images direct to people i have paired with without having to search local bluetooth first. The thing is it only sends images to paired people. I want it to also send sound and video files. When in file explorer, holding down on an image brings up the extra option of "Send image via bluetooth" which then allows to send by the already paired devices. When doing the same on videos and sound, it doesnt give this option. Maybe this can be done in the registry, but i dont know alot about that so maybe someone could help?
i tried this on my kjam and i had a problem with it, so i uninstalled it.
the problem i had is that the bt keep switching off by itself with no reason, even if i was already syncing over bt, the connection is lost suddenly and i found out that the bt is off (even though the bt icon on the system tray shows its still on).
i don't know about you guys, but i had this prob twice, i reinstalled it again and gave me the same prob.
i can live without it.
Ok, maybe that stack is not all that great. After soft reset lost all sound, and BT does not work properly. Uninstalled and back to normal. So again is there any way to send to people in your paired list without having to search for them every time. Is becoming a pain coz some new phones turn off discoverable after 60 seconds. So they have to keep turning theirs back on. Its a simple option, dont know why they didnt put this in. Any help?
I haven't seen more than 50-60KBps. Has anyone else seen higher transfer rates?
Wizard's BT is useless. Buggy, slow and poor.
And it is not v2.0, it is v1.2
It does not have EDR.
It doesn't even have PAN ffs... :x

Info about BT in wizard. Directly from BT CIG's site. The problem is not with the Wizard, it is in usin MS BT stack.
thanks for that emmeborn, if the problem is the stack, do you know of a stack upgrade which works good? I tried the stack form the blue angel, but stuffed up my phone, so uninstalled it.
actually, i just looked at those pdf files, and at the bottom where it has the revisions, seems they have launched a version around 1 month ago. Would this be a software or hardware update. If its software then i reckon this could solve alot of problems im having.

It is the long awaited rom update. A test version of that rom has already leaked. You can find more info in the Wizard upgrade forum topic about that version.
I am awaiting the localized swedish version of that rom and the latest about that version is that it should be released mid March.
ok.. I read a couple of threads regarding this issue but could not find any solutions. one guy said that ak3.3 fixed his problems but 3 have a spv m3100 and I don,t know wich update pack should I choose besides cingular wich doesn't have video calling.
Any thoughts?
Doesn't anybody have the same issue and managed to solve it?
I had the same issue when I upgraded to WM6, I fixed it by installing the GPS radio ROM. This fixed it straight away.
In installed the latest 1.35 ROM and that did not fixed it and even with XDA live that did not work. Where can I find the GPS Rom?

My 8525 was disconnecting from my car constantly after getting the phone a few days ago. My TyTN never had this problem. Even after installing the exact same ROM onto the 8525 that was on my TyTN I still had the same problem.
Basically, after a minute or two of being connected to my car the bluetooth on the phone would turn off. It didn't just disconnect. It turned off completely. This phone did it just like the Treo 750v (very unreliable phone by-the-way) did.
The problem appears to have gone away now that I have installed WM6 on my 8525. I have not done anything special to get it working aside from installing the LSVW WM6 ROM. It is definitely worthwhile to give it a try.
I believe that 1.35 is the "GPS enabled, but not initialized" rom.

I had it fixed by changing the registry values for bluetooth power saving. Upgrading to VM6 and to radio rom 1.35 (gps enabled) bringed back the problem... now I cannot find anymore what registry value I had changed...

Ohhh....please try to find them because I searched high and low and still no solution.
Try this:

Ok I tryed the small fix on that link and did not work at all. I also inslled WM6 LSVW and still nothing. Any other ideas?
Try this: "jetware.hands-free.extension.1.24".
Installing the leaked Cingular ROM fixed the problem for me. Prior to this, it would connect briefly, then disconnect, and would come and go, but mostly would not connect. Now, every once in a while, it disconnects very briefly, but for the most part is solid.
Tryed jetware but still no go. Any other idea? doesn't anyone that has a hermes use a car handsfree bluetooth system? From what I know all devices suffer from this?
Nothing? Hasn't anybody found the solution to this problem? From what I read it happens to almost all hermes devices.
Yes, had the same problem.
Have a SPV M3100 with the Audi A4 Bluetooth (part of Gen II GSM Prep).
My old MDA Vario worked flawlessly.
SPV3100:
1. Pairs and makes / receives calls.
2. After 10-15 Mins calls are not routed through car kit.
3. When making / recieving call after 10-15 Mins, handset thinks its connected to handsfree (headset symbol in phone dial pad) but car does not pickup call hence no handsfree and no sound in handset ear piece!
4. Occasionaly, handset reconnects to car handsfree automatically on an incoming call.
5. Connection of in car charger SEEMS to improve realiablility.
6. Switching Bluetooth off then on on the handset will initiate a new connection that again works for 10-15 Mins.

I get the problem with the new rom also, have been using it for weeks now. The new ROM does NOT resolve the issue, at least with the Acura HFL system.
So it seems that there is currently no fix to this issue.

Well, it did resolve it on my '07 Audi Q7.
I tried to contact HTC and this is what I got

Can anyone with a TyTN contact HTC and ask for a solution?
Thanks temoore,
Looks like I need to get my boss to upgrade my car from A4 to Q7 to get the phone hands free to work.
It just might work.......;-)
Hello everyone, i have a problem which i don't know how to solve it. It goes like this.

Try installing Bluezard software on your PPC. It's an amazing software and lets you handle all your bluetooth problems.
