I have just installed SPB Clone correct on my Vario. Now this program did a soft-reset and the Vario just hang on de first bootscreen. (The one with the soft-/firmware version on it.)
SPB Clone has installed a program that would startup at first program while booting. My Vario don't seem to like that.
Is there a way to remove this program/problem without a Hard-reset. I don't like to lose my data.

you can only erase all data by installin the rom on top.
boot in USB mode, Hold the camera button and the reset pin and it will start in tree color mode, USB
Than install a rom from the computer... about 10 min.

Do you have more information about that, what it does and how it works.
1) Fist you will have to find a rom update or corrent version of your phone.
I don't know what you have K-Jam or qtek 9100..

2) Boot the phone in USB Mode: Hold camera batton on the side and with the pen into the reset hole. USB screen will come up.
3) plug USB cable into computer, and run downloaded software.
10 more minutes and reset phone, all done....

Clone is very dissapointing, I am using Sunny Backup Manager 3.7 now!
i had this problem too after installing SPB pucket plus. do you have this installed? if so just goto the options and uncheck safe mode and it should boot fine now, obviously wont help you until you have wiped the machine, but it will avoid the same problem again

Reconnect it and reflash the full rom for your device. It should connect and work ok. I think the roms for each network etc are all available on this site.
I had this recently when I updated my o2 rom. I downloaded the rom file and ran it but active sync kicked up and I got the screen like you said - couldn't get out of it at all, but when I tried running the rom install again it worked and went through ok.
You could try the radio reflash again, but it's looking like you need the full rom first.

I had this a few weeks ago, try a hard reset, press the two keys with the lines accross them at the top of the keyboard, and at the same time press the reset key. when it comes back up with the grey screen select the option to continue and re-dock the PDA to re-start the install, it worked for me - good luck - Mike
Just tried to upgrade my S200 with a 9100 ROM ver 2.8.7.1 WWE (by mistake of course) and I can't turn it on anymore. Somehow it didn't even warn about wrong ROM.
Tried to hardreset it but no luck. When I keep the camera button it goes to RGB only when connected to the charger.
When connected to PC, the red and blue leds keep flashing and my PC gives Error 260 when I try to revert back to the S200 RUU.
Does anyone know how to bring it back to life? Is there a way to boot it from SD card?

I did the same thing some time ago!
What you need to do is make sure that the battery is fully charged. (The flashing of the screen can be a result of the flat battery.) Unfortunately, it is not possible to charge the battery when the wrong ROM is installed, as the ROM obviously tells the Prophet how to charge.
Let's assume you have an okay battery.
1) Start the Prophet in Boot mode. This is done by pressing and holding the Camera button and then pressing the soft-reset button. Keep holding for about 7 seconds, and the coloured bands should appear.
2) Connect to PC using the UDB cable.
3) Run the correct ROM upgrade. You do not need to be paired with ActiveSync, as the update programs are intelligent.
4) If the update does not work (and it fails at 95%), then try again. If it still fails, try again and do a soft-reset mid-way through. This will kill the ROM upgrade and you should then be able to do it fine after that.
The really important thing is that the battery is charged before you do this. Unless anyone makes a USB cable that can charge AND connect to PC, then a fully charged battery is a must.

I am a bit confused, does that mean that ALLOW USB CONNECTIONS has to be chacked or unchecked?
I did the same exact mistake. Now, my baterry is fully chaged (which I can check on another phone) but when I put it in S200 it shows that the battery has 0%. Conseqeuntly, when i unplug the power cord the phone dies. I have no way of running the new ROM on it. I tried running a bootable SD but it only installed part of the software. i read on this forum that such a thing happens and that one would need to run a full version ROM from a computer. So, how do I do it??? I am almost giving up all hope of ever making this phone work

Hi: This is my first posting and I am new on this board. I have had an MDA that I got as a gift from my Dad and I love it. However, I used it last week and for some unkown reason, it is stuck in the:
'Press Send to Restore Factory Defaults, Other Key to Quit.'
I have been trying to get past this for 4 days and am not having any luck.
I got to the Align Screen and that happened only once. Then I could not get past that. It keep showing the Align Screen and I kept tapping and it just kept going round and round from the Center Tap to the sides and back.
My battery is fully charged, I have read this forum and still I am lost. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you so much.

Thank you for trying to help me. However, I have done both of the resets over and over and I keep getting the same result. 'Press send to restore factory defaults, other key to quit.'
I can get no further than that display regardless of what key or keys that I hit.
I have even tried the two ways of doing a Hard Reset:
1. Hold Com and Voice while pressing Soft Reset Button for 5 or more seconds until I get that display.

I cannot get past that display regardless of what key or keys I press.
It seems frozen at that display point.

I did try to use my PC to recognize the MDA, but it would not. Downloaded WST and that would not recognize my MDA either. I understand that until I get past the Hard Rest my MDA will not be recognized by my PC due to ActiveSync being requried to connect my MDA to the PC. I don't know what else I can try. Search all day yesterday and could not find any solutions. Will continue today. Any suggestions, Please. Thank you.

Use the love rom to set phone back to "zero". Therefore you must press press the voice and camera buttons if joy reset youre phone.
You get some collored bloks om youre phone and then you can use the love rom.
After that you can use youre original rom updater

Did a search for Love Rom and Wizard_Love ROM and only came up with 103 results consisting of some Threads with 1570, 898, 618,787, 893, 464........postings on the first page for Threads 1-25.
Now I do have a Red, Green, Blue, White Screen with RUU in the top right corner of the Red Bar with IPL 2.26 and SPL 2.26 in the Red Bar. Nothing is in the Green, Blue or White bar.
I tried to Hard Reset and Soft Rest and nothing happens. I removed my Battery and then tried again and still nothing happens?
Where can I find Wizard_Love ROM and what do I do when I find it. My PC will not recognize my MDA and I used WST and that cannot located my MDA.
I am at a complete loss of what to do next.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to try to help me get my phone operational.

do not confuse guys with this statement.Wizard_love_Rom is a patched rom which is flashed to recover back the phone in some stuck up phones,but it doesn't set the phone back to 'ZERO',but its an italian language rom.

Now,download the official T-mobile 2.26 from the link below and get the phone in bootloaders,check usb appear at the bottom and flash it to recover back to the default status of the phone.

This was the same thing that you posted for me, too.
Maybe some of you are already aware of this procedure, maybe not.
Anyway, it worked for me and I decided to share how to do it. Simple.
This procedure should only be used in case you really need enter into a bootloader mode (Red, Green, Blue, White Screen) and all other ways to do it has failed! Hold Camera button is one of these I am mentioning.
1. Make sure your Phone is not Connected to the PC and remove the dummy card or SD/MMC card
2. On your Desktop PC, open Microsoft ActiveSync, then go to File >Connection Settings >Remove the Selection from “Allow USB Connection with this desktop computer”
3. Reconnect your Phone to the Desktop PC using the USB Cradle and the Charger MUST be Connected to the Cradle (Don’t use the IrDA or Bluetooth for the Upgrade)
4. Run the Upgrade again and it will work fine without any problems.
While upgrading, the ActiveSync program will not go on, however the upgrade is running.
So, Thank you all for your time and help. I do hope this helps others to find a way to correct their problems.

hey guys, over the past few days ive had battery problems with my iMate JAMin, i got a new battery, insert it, and power on my device, now, rather than loading up the iMate image, it goes to the tri-color boot screen, i've tried a Soft and Hard reset, no luck , any one willing to try and help solve this problem, please email or PM: [email protected]

hello,
since yesterday I cannot boot my X1 anymore.
Rebooting starts, then I get the screen where I have to enter a security code (thanks to my company`s security policies...) and I cannot enter values there. After a few seconds it stops booting. So I cannot proceed
Only option I see is to reinstall ROM/firmware.
My laptop cannot see the X1 via USB because it is not up and running, so I cannot move data/new ROM to the microSD.
Is there a Software/firmware/ROM-updates available (prefered: WM6.5 German, or at least WM6.1) which can be started/run from my laptop?
I couldnt find a download link to VodafoneGerman WM6.1 here

If you have soft SPL, you should be able to get into boot logger screen and update it thru the SE site/program.
Other option.. is there a card reader/adapter that fits the micro SD card for you to copy the ROM?

Try the following:
Enter bootloader (press the silver buttons and on/off button when phone is off)
Use SonyEricsson's update program.
IMHO it should update as the phone connects to usb with different mode than normally.
great, a few hours later and got it working.
I went into town and but a new cardreader. in the meantime my X1 woke up
and I could use the SE update installer.
So now I have got a newer WM6.1 (ROM 1.03.162.10, radio 1.10.25.18) running which is so much faster than my old system
now time to enjoy the sun....
Strange, almost the same thing happened to me on that very day... Phone stopped booting after the SE logo (Animation didn't show up). Had to Hardreset after several attempts to solve the problem...
