Newest release of Widcomm BT-PPC/Phone Edition?

What is the latest version of the Widcomm BT Stack for the XDA II? I have noticed a new version, Widcomm BT-PPC/Phone Edition, but I can't find any information if it's been officially released and available to download. If so anyone know where to get that newer (and XDA II optimized) Widcomm BT-PPC/Phone Edition (I believe it's also called Widcomm BT-PPC version 2.x.x.x?), please let me know. Thanks!
Some of the new features included in this release...
BT-PPC/Phone Edition leverages current BTW-CE/PPC features and includes the following profiles (GAP, SDP, SPP, GOEP, OPP, FTP, SYNC, DUN, HSP, HFP & PAN).
Key features of this product:
Addition of WAN connectivity features
Implement cellular connectivity
Manage audio traffic routing to headset
Display radio signal strength (RSSI) on screen
Implement power management scheme (enable WAN connectivity while PPC is off/sleep)
Initial release OMAP platform

Xda II - Hack Bluetooth from Widcomm
Hey people!
please chk this out

I've installed this new widcomm stack version 1.4.1 Build 59 on my XDA2 but it doesn't seem to detect the built-in BT radio of XDAII and asks for a CF card. The documentation says that it supports internal BT as well. There r few instructions by chan but i can't seem to understand how to make this think working. Please give it a try.........
Errr... don't understand a thing it said in that previous link, can anyone translate that webpage? Babelfish didn't cut it. But I'll download everything that seems to have any connection to Widcomm and see what I can do. It does seems to has something to do with a PC-based USB BT dongle, not the internal BT in the XDA. Meanwhile if anyone has the actual Widcomm PPC/Phone Editon release please let me know. Thanks!
Ah, yep downloaded that file you referred to, unfortunately that is the wrong version (v1.4.1/59), it is techinically the same program running on the HP iPAQ H5000 series. The program is not the newer Widcomm Bluetooth Pocket PC Phone Edition version. Neverless keep the post comming if anyone knows anything about this new PPC Phone Edition Bluetooth release! I managed to modify the Widcomm Bluetooth stack to a hybrid version file, using a mix of versions to get various aspect of the Bluetooth technology and features working, so far everything is great, the only issues I am having are:
1. "Bluetooth failed to initialize properly" error messages upon restarting the Bluetooth feature or after rebooting the XDA2 with the newer hybrid Widcomm start up file link.
2. The hybrid Widcomm Bluetooth application disables itself when turning off the XDA2 in it's traditional PPC fashion, not utilizing the newer WM2003 Pocket PC Phone Edition's ablity to retain it's Bluetooth/GPRS connection.
Other than that I got all the features I wanted, such as the ablity to host/join a Bluetooth LAN/PAN, browse files remotely over BT, etc.
BTW v.1.4.1.59
I got the New Version from Sitecom. V 1.4.2.11 and it works with csr-500.
The V 1.41.1.59 is a Bluetooth CF software for WindowsCE PPC2000, 2002, 2003. Thats why it is asking for the CF adapter.

Which bluetooth stack is the Prophet using?

Hi,
I bought a Dopod 818 Pro and happily loaded the drivers for my Think Outside BT Keyboard. Unfortunately the BT Keyboard on the Prophet tells me :
Bluetooth system not detected.
Current version of the keyboard/mouse driver supports the following Bluetooth stacks
Widcomm BTW CE 1.4.x - 1.5.x
Drakar (Socket) 6.x.x
Microsoft
Does anyone have an idea on how I can get this to work? Think Outside is very slow to update their software / drivers. One option seems to me to load either the Widcomm or the Drakar stack. Any one tried something like this?
Thanks & Best Regards
Of course Prophet running WM5 and has Microsoft Bluetooth stacks. I think the version is 2.0. Is newer then before. No way to use other Blue tooth stacks on Pocket PC.
the BT stack onthe prophet is total garbage, only supports 2 services.. the older widcom stack for the 2K3 pdas have like 14 services

Same Microsoft s#%t as on Windows XP. My Sony Vaio comes with MS stack, and ....it supports only 2 services. So I have built-in BT, but can use it only for a BT mouse or modem.

Which bluetoothj stack

Hello All
Which bluetooth stack does the Athena use?

Which Bluetooth Stack on X7500?

Does anyone know which Bluetooth Stack is used on the X7500? Microsoft, Widcomm, BlueSoleil or Toshiba?
Thank you
Its the standard MS stack isnt it?
Seems the same as my old Universal stack, and that was the MS one.
Its easy to tell.... Does it suck? Then yes, its the MS one.

Broadcomm / widcomm bluetooth stack dev thread

OK, enclosed is helmi's version of the broadcomm (formerly known as widcomm) bluetooth stack v1.7.6.0500 for himalaya.
This stack works perfectly with the exception of one thing. The handsfree profile won't route audio to any headset.
Apparently it's got something to do with the included wavedev.dll and audiogw.dll not being compatible with the himalaya. AFAIK, it should just be a case of tweaking the wavedev.dll file
Have any devs with himalayas (or other devices) got any ideas on how to fix this? We all know that the widcomm stack is FAR superior to the MS version. A universal widcomm stack would benefit the whole community.
