Hi there i have a problem.
I am trying to get my Linux laptop to sync with clubimate. I have no problems with syncing my JasJar with clubimate, but with Linux i cant connect.
I am using the Ximian-connector. And it ask's for mye username and the exchange server wich i know. But the problem is that it's asks for a GC server ( Global Catalog replica server), and i have no clue what it is. I have tried online support at clubimate but they didnt know what Linux was ( they asked me: Do u have Active sync installed? wich doesent support Linux).
Does anyone have a solution to this? Or anyone know how i can connect my Linux laptop mail application with the clubimate's exchange server so i can sync my calender with clubimate?
thank in advance.

does any one know of a solution to get exchange2007 support level on a home pc?
I found "kerio"`s solutions but it gives only exchange 2003 support(no HTML),
did any one find a solution?
so, what do I hope to find?
A fully compatible exchange 2007 mail server for my home pc, something like "kerio mail server".
That way I can active sync my WM6 tytn to my own server and get full HTML support.
A free web host that has exchange 2007(mail2web does not support 2007) will be nice two
Hi Guyz,
i have an HTC Trinity with latest rom released from italian distributor, just flashed three days ago.
Everythings are working fine but i cannot set a configuration for sinchronization of my company's web exchange server.
We have Exchange Server 2003 with SP2 and gate 443 already enable, but nothing....with Active Sync, during server's configuration, i cannot see any web server at typed address.

Hi there, take a look at this:
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Configuring-Mobile-Devices-Exchange2003.html
and this:
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Managing-Mobile-Access-Exchange-Server-2003.html
or (absolutely recommended) try olx mobile access at www.gangl.de. this works perfect an it's easy to configure. Don't mind the german website for the application ist in english. 30-days trial for download.
Best regards.
There is a known Issue connecting with Exchange with ActiveSync and OMA
If your Exchange server is set up to use Forms-Base authentication(must be used to enable compression of static and dynamic data from the exchange server), ActiveSync and OMA will fail. This is a know issue. ActiveSync and OMA use WebDav to authenticate the user with NTFS permissions. Forms-Based authentication blocks this. Another virtual directory must be made for devices that use WebDav to authenticate with. Two places that discuss this issue and how to work around it are...

You can have a look at SynCE + Evolution... Not sure if it supported wm5 now. With linux, I only do file sharing (be it usb or wifi+samba
finchsync
works perfect thanks for the tip
gaznight, i happen to have the same problem. Well, kind of I'm able to sync to my wizard, but not to Evolution. I also messed up my settings for the 'Externe NDIS-host' (Yeah, i'm dutch too ) network card. Could you be so kind to post your settings? My guess was IP: 169.254.2.1, 255.255.255.0 and no default gw. Could you verify? I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
funambol
I'm now using using funambol as my main PIM repository, it works great!!
Delete your active sync profile,
Install the funambol plugin on all programs / devices you want to sync with.
Programs sync directly with the funambol server
devices get internet though activesync or wifi and sync with a funambol server
Hi,
I have a HTC TyTN ll and I am having problems synchronising my work email.
The server at work has exchange 2003 SP2 and Activesync. We also have both OWA and OMA and I can access these succesfully through the PDA.
The OWA/OMA both use SSL and have a instantssl certificate installed which I have downloaded and installed onto my device.
My credentials are correct, I have recreated the data source and resetted device but..
During snychronisation on the PDA I get the following error:
"ActiveSync encountered a problem on the server" Support Code: 0x85010014.
Following a google I found that this is as a result of having the SSL port 443 defined in IIS for the webmail site. Now if I remove this port I get the message "waiting for network". I have read this is temporary, but I have tried for the past few days and it still doesnt get past this stage. I am using our wireless and the GPRS as provided by orange to connect.
Also removing the port 443 has concequences on anyone else accessing the OWA as it does not work.
Do any of you guys know any ideas on how I can get the PDA to synchronise?
Will I have to first create an activesync partnership with the server?
Many Thanks in Advance
I now recieve the following error on the server:
Exchange Server 2003" (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=817379). For information about how to properly configure IIS to support Kerberos and NTLM authentication, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 215383, "How To Configure IIS to Support Both Kerberos and NTLM Authentication" (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=215383). This issue may occur after installing Windows SharePoint Services on a server running Exchange Server 2003. For information about how to properly configure a server to run both Windows SharePoint Services and Exchange Server 2003, see Microsoft Knowledge Base article 823265, "You receive a "Page not found" error message when you use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to browse the Exchange Server 2003 client after you install Windows SharePoint Services" (http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=3052&kbid=823265).
Exchange is installed on an SBS 2003 and I dont believe the microsoft kb is useful for this. Even if it is, I can work around this by removing ssl. However at this point I dont get any errors on the server and all I get from the HTC is "waiting for network". As mentioned earliar.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thanks

Problem: Email messages does not download to the phone from my company's MS Exchange server. During sync phase, the device 'sees' the messages on the server but it does not download to my phone, no error message. It was working fine but all of a sudden it did not. I checked the setup such as server address we use owa.mycompany.com, SSL enabled, login, password nothing has changed. I deleted the server from Activesync and setup again still no go. My other Hotmail, Gmail, calender (sync via usb to my pc) works fine. Few of my fellow workers with iphones and other WM phones also have problem downloading, only the blackberry folks had no problem. My IT guy said he didn't change anything (I am not sure I believe it). If anyone can help shed light on this problem I can finally get some sleep trying to debug this .
*** New Update ***
I was able to download my messages if I config my Outlook to keep emails on the exchange server and not download to my local PC. There seems to be some conflict.
