somebody please help me... i flashed to wm2005 recently and tried using it..well, i can't get it to sync via USB activesync 4.0...
i've tried all advices from these posts, but still, i can't get them to work... i've tried the following:
1.)detect and repair outlook
2.)uninstall and reinstall active sync 4.0, and connected to other ucb ports
3.)downloaded and installed the netrndis.inf, rndismpx.sys and usb8023x.sys files
4.)downloaded activesync 4.0 from the microsoft website...
you wizards out there, please help me.. i'd really love to use wm5.0, but if i can't use active sync, it's useless...
Go to the ftp site, the himalaya wm2k5 folder contains two activesync files. Download the most recent one and re-install on your pc.
If you have further issues go to the wiki pages. Link is posted on the news section.
Please use Activesync 3.8 instead
I believe microsoft site itself recommends 3.8. It works well for me.
Hope that helps.

Hello! i always read this forum.... today i've found a tutorial to sync magician over BT connection with ORIGINAL stack & no other stuff...
it's in italian, but so simple, just follow the sequence of the configuration step by step, in described order
HERE
Regards
Wow, that's really simple! I'm Dutch, working on a German computer without any knowledge of the Italian language and it worked within a minute!
Thanx for this post
Bluetooth ActiveSync Setup
That's what I've been missing...
I've done everything except to start that "Bluetooth Activesync Setup" in Settings->System->Bluetooth Settings
For anybody else who have been failing to activesync with bluetooth, this may be the one you miss. I wonder why PocketPC doesnt come with this service setup from the factory.
Thanks for the information SkizZO!!
Yes! in particular AFTER the click on ActiveSync BT Settings, you HAVE TO PAIR your PPC with your PC.
If after tapping "ActiveSync Settings over BT" in BT Settings, you close the new window with Bluetooth activation/rules, you break ActiveSync setup, then no BT connection will be estabilished!!
I spent a lot of time to sync via BT, and the solution was really really simple!!!
thanx man! it was sucessfully done! so happy....
mmm ... dint work
did all like in manual but the step, between finishing add process of BT device and starting active sync on PPC, failed. It didnt ask me anything, just added the device.
And when i push Connect via BT nothin happens
there is something of wrong on your pc/ppc
We are in 4 and all works fine.

Click to collapse
You COM port number may be too high. Activesync only recognises up to COM 9. Here's another guide that includes info on how to delete unused COM ports.

I'm trying to sync my phone over Bluetooth (HTC Universal / Activesync 4.1 running on WinXP SP2)
I can send and receive files fine, and i've followed the step-by-step guide to creating a bluetooth connection in Activesync, but for some reason, when my phone finds my PC, there arent any services that it can use, so it wont sync.
I cant find anything mentioned about this in any of the help files, so i was wondering if anyone knew what im doing wrong?
Thanks!

OK well ive already followed the exact setup as in the first guide, but in the 2nd guide, they go into the Bluetooth setup (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/images/articles/ASBT3970/pc04.jpg)
but i dont get that option at all, im assuming its because i removed the Belkin drivers (seeing as their screenshot mentions TDK)... but they told me to remove that in the 1st setup Gah!
first when xp2 came out i used the ms bluetooth driver and it worked
ok later belkin and many others who use viddcomm software made new drivers for xp sp2 which works just fine too
Hello guys i have a magician with windows mobile 2003, ROM version 1.12.00 WWE, actually downloaded from magician wiki,
my problem is as the title suggests, i can't synchronise using bluetooth, things are fine wth USB, but not with bluetooth.
i have been searching the forum for a week now, and followed many steps, but no use...when i start Active Sync on the PPC and i press connect via bluetooth i get stuck in "connecting to host" and it doesnt change.
i have an ASUS notebook (XP SP2)with Build in Bluetooth, and use ActiveSync 4.5.
2 more notes:
1. i had vista on the notebook a week ago, and things were totally fine, bu as i am back to XP, and to ActiveSync 4.5, things don't work, it never worked even with the previous XP.
2. i am not good in these things,,,so please a bit more detalied comment will be very helpful
thanks in advance
regards
