Sorry for my ignorance. - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hi. I installed this application on my XDA II mini. And then I tried playing it. Then after a while, I turned it off, or the game just stopped. And so the today screen appeared. But then, the sounds of the game is still going on. I tried stopping the programs through the "running program" icon. Everything was turned off, but the sounds was still there. And then, I tried removing the program through the "remove program" but then, an error came out. It was like, Uninstall unsuccessful. The program was not removed because these files are in use or are read-only. Tap Start>Settings>System tab>Memory>Running Programs tab> Stop All and try again. I did this a couple of times already but nothing's happening. And there's this certain window which contains Windows\Fonts
SF Beaverton Heavy.ttf.
Please. What am I suppose to do. Thanks so much!!!

XDA II can't open programs

Sometimes the XDA II cant open programs, it says (not exact words) "cannot open program, critical component missing, go to settings-system-memory-running programs, close running programs...." its not the exact words but something like it. I tried to check the programs running but there's nothing running. Although a soft reset sometimes solves the problem, it comes back in like minutes after the reset.. What seems to be the problem?
another thing, a pop-up usually appears saying "(file).exe cannot execute file" and this thing about the IA caller ID or something..
I also use Scary Bear's clear notifications.. and tried a soft reset but it keeps coming back...
The program memory has 40+ mb free all the time.
Would really appreciate your help.. thank you very much

SmartSKeys funny problem

Hey folks,
I have a funny issue I can't seem to figure out. I have been using PPC's for about 4 years now and I like to consider myself a pretty bright guy but this one has me stumped.
I recently upgraded my Cingular 8125 to the latest relaease from cingular/HTC/Microsoft. Yes the official release. After restoring all of my data and contacts from backup, I began reloading my apps.
one of my primary utilities I can't live without is SmartSKeys. when I originally installed it I put it on the SD Mini card, and since moved it to main memory. It starts up perfectly now but I occationally after waking the device up from sleep,(Pressing the power button) I have a message on screen that says
Code:
Notification Error>>> Cannot execute "\Storage Card\Program Files\SmartSkeys\smartskey.exe"
I have no links in the start up for this item, I have searched the registry for "smartskey" and found nothing. Where do I remove it from trying to launch???????
I figured it out and wouldn't you know it was my own damn fault.
When I origially installed it I had
Code:
StartOnReboot = 1
and when you launch it makes an entry somewhere I coudn't find to reverse. I copied SmartSKeys back to my storage card, set the StartOnReboot to 0, launched smartskey.exe, stopped smartskey.exe and rebooted.
I also set StartOnReboot to 0 for my main installation in my Main Memory as well. and created a shortcut to it in my \windows\startup.
I chose to do this because I can manage what gets started and what doesn't in a more "normal" fashion.
I also found in my 'quest' the answer to another question I never posted. before I upgraded the software, I used to get the "close smartskeys?" dialog box at startup every time. I noticed that when you execute smartskeys.exe while it is running that prompts it to close.
I must have said "hey StartOnReboot... Sure" and set it to 1 then made a shortcut in my startup folder just like I have now. by the time the startup folder was run, smartskeys was already running and asking me to close it when I was "Starting" it.(or vice versa)
Can someone confirm this is the intended behavior?
I had the same problem, and your solution worked perfectly. Thanks!

Phantom Fiber Framework

Help!
I'm new to the PPC world with the 6800. I tried downloading Ultimate Bet poker to it about 3 weeks ago and realized that it didn't work and tried deleting it. I deleted it using Active Sync remove programs, then deleted some more files that were still on the actual phone to get it off the Today screen. Last night I used PHM to delete some more files of it that were in the registry.
Every time I press the button to wake the phone up from sleep, I have a Notification Error that pops up and says "Cannot execute \Program Files\Phantom Fiber Inc.\Framework v2.1\PFEventNotifierV21.exe"
It's been doing this ever since I deleted the Ultimate Bet program, and I really don't feel like doing a hard reset. Any suggestions?

Error message on startup - 'quickmenu' cannot be opened

Hi All.
I recently installed a little program QuickMenu v2.8 just to try it out. (it displays a drop down menu of items, not to dissimilar to the windows desktop start menu)
However i didn't personally like it, so i uninstalled it in the normal way you would uninstall ANY other program you want to remove.
However every time i reboot my HD2 now, i get the following error message:
'The file 'QuickMenu' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file'
Clearly the unstall has either left crap behind, OR has deleted something that it shouldn't have? - & 'reinstalling' it is not what i want to do.
After clicking the 'ok' ..the error goes away, and the phone seems to work fine & the start menu opens in the way it did before installing the prog (large scrolling icons). The phone seems to have no other problems.
However, seeing this error message is beginning to annoy me.
How can i fix the problem to remove the garbage left behind or repair the damage the uninstall caused.
Will i need some registry editor?
Look forward to your wise words for a fix.
Many thanks
Hyper
you may go and check \windows\startup folder, QuickMenu.lnk link may still there. If there, just delete it
