Sprint Telesales is now telling everyone that the PPC-6700 (Apache) will be released sometime between September 16 and September 19.
That means it should be released by Monday and possibly tomorrow!!!

It was released today to Sprint business customers only. One week from today it will be released to the general public.
FYI, Sprint is selling the PPC-6700 (AKA HTC Apache) to everyone now. $629 is the full retail price.
Theres a lot of pages on the web that state the UK release date as 30th Sept. But I cant find one shop website that states that!
For a phone thats being released tomorrow, Expansys stil says 'pre-order now'! And they are usualy pretty on the ball when putting up ACTUAL release dates. Could anyone shed any light on this situation?
Vodafone retail outlets (UK) claim change of date from 3rd Oct to 10 Oct. Expansys (UK) claim between 6 & 10 th Oct. Therefore consistently saying not this week
It may just be released on sony's website and the branded ones aren't out till a bit later?

O2 in Germany cancelled the 41 calendar week and names now the 42 calendar week
I spoke to the Sony Ericsson store in London yesterday, to find out if they would have any demo units in today. Apparently even though the release date is today, it will be a couple of weeks before they get any in stock either for sale or demo. No word on pricing either

All this mystery about the price makes me think that they won't know how much to sell them for even when they're out...
Amazon Germany now lists it for 679,- EUR which is 40 EUR more then a few days before.
You can already buy it (not pre-order) but it's not in stock yet.
This is starting to remind me of the P990i release date, which was pushed back over 6 months or more

I am also in search of the exact answer, the date I found on different sites is not same.
It started shipping to sellers on the 30th, most are saying it will be available from Oct 6.
Most of the dealers are telling it will be on sale from 10th OCT.
O2 are apparently selling it now according to a couple of folk and the O2 mag.
Il be getting mine as soon as it comes out at Phones4u as they will buy a certain amount of my existing contract out! My existing contract has about £170 left to go. They gave my friend £100 for his contract so if they give my £100 towards paying of my existing contract id be a very happy chappy!

The best I could get out of the T-Mobile salesman was early July. He said they'd already had a Samsung rep into the store to demo the handset to them, so I'd imagine it's definately coming soon...

Hi i called t-mobile uk afew times over last few weeks as my upgrade is now due. Both times they told me that it is due end of this month early next month. Also on twitter the t-mobile offical help said it was supposed to come in 11th june but got delayed and so im guessing it will come and will be within the month.
Think its worth the wait as the desire does seem old news already and i played with the phone at carphone warehouse and its amzingly light and screen is the best i have seen.
customer services told me early july...
maybe t-mobile uk are being askedto hold off releasing the phone until it is released by t-mobile US as they are doing this whole secret marketing thing with Samsung.
SGS is now available on T-Mobile UK. It's not on the website yet, but you can get it through dialing 150 and speaking to them directly.

how did you get yours on upgrade? as they wont offer me an upgrade yet as its not on the website yet.
I phoned 150, spoke to the upgrades team and asked for one... they said it had only 'just' come in but they had no problems at all upgrading me.
They wanted £170 for the phone initially, so I haggled them down and eventually got it for free as I've been with them for 5-6 years, etc. £35 18 month contract.
i phoned 150 and got galaxy s on upgrade due on friday

£25pm for 2 years

Thought I'd make a separate thread for o2 as finding information seems to take forever as posts are scattered about.
Pay as you go orders - From what I've heard so far everyone is still stuck on "in progress" (as am I) and delivery for pay as you go units arriving at the o2 warehouse are expected on tuesday (this information is from someone phoning up). There is no confirmation whether these will be locked/unlocked and whether they will be branded. Some people have phoned up and been told they will be but can't be sure until someone receives the phone as everyone's saying different things.
Pay Monthly Orders - I think most of these have gone through and some people are expecting to get their phone tomorrow? No no one knows for sure whether these will be locked/unlocked and whether they will be branded.
In Store - So far no store has sold these from what I've read and are expecting delivery either tuesday, some wednesday and some even later during the week.
Will update this post to reflect once users have received their phones whether they are branded and locked to o2.

Same here ordered thursday and nothing, i rang up yesterday and they said its actually on preorder and they should have them in stock by tuesday funny that the website doesnt say that tho.

O2 major store Friday no stock and had no idea for delivery
Smaller O2 hoped for delivery Monday same store this morning said hoped for delivery Wed and both those stores responded to a query on Friday O2 have not launched the phone yet .
Rumours very little cold hard facts with an O2 phone in hand .
Long time post Hot deals O2 PAYG again none in anybody's hands .

I ordered Friday morning over the phone from o2, my order is awaiting collection by DHL so im expecting the phone Wednesday
Good idea for a separate thread.
My PAYG order from Thursday evening is also still In Progress but my pay monthly order from Saturday morning was confirmed Sunday morning but is still awaiting collection so I don't expect it now until Wednesday.
I would also be interested to hear how long it has taken Quidco to track orders. My PAYG order was tracked in 36 hours but the pay monthly has still not been tracked after 54 hours. Hope I didn't muck it up as the pay monthly will be more expensive than the PAYG if I don't get the cashback. I won't be using the SIM.
Waiting for tomorrow to see if the o2 phones are locked or not.
Iv been told by o2 many times that all their phones are locked to o2 and have o2 software on them..
If thats not the case i will cancel my order @ carphone warehouse and buy one from there.

My O2 online contract order was placed yesterday (Sunday) and is now showing complete with tracking information. I'm expecting it to arrive on Wednesday since DHL haven't got it yet.
I was told it will be locked, but I can get it unlocked immediately by O2 for free since I'm on a 24-month contract.

did you no read that you have to have the handset for 12 month before you can pay to have it unlocked from o2?
That is true for pay as you go not contracts.

I got my tracking information on thursday evening for a contract phone . DHL website hasn't been updated since then and states " Parcel data received awaiting coll." Has anyone elses tracking information say anything different?
I don't really care it's locked or unlocked, since I'm on giffgaff anyway, and you can use an giffgaff SIM in an O2 locked phone.
More of my concern is whether these will be branded? That would seriously put me off buying it Does anyone have any info about this?
Ordered Saturday night, still processing at the moment. Heard various days for stock, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday - but nothing so far.
Hopefully with tomorrow going back to normal in the UK something will actually happen.
Not concerned about lock/unlock as I'll be moving to GiffGaff and I doubt there'll be any branding as I've not seen branding on O2 phones in along time. If for some strange reason it is, it'll be going back!
Hopefully tomorrow brings better news and progress.

I was told by o2 staff they have no branding on the case but have o2 software on them.

Went to my local AT&T store yesterday (March 11th) to get the Edge, and I was disappointed to be told there were none in stock and they didn't know when they would be. So they ordered one for me and told me I'd get it by Monday, or Tuesday the latest. Well, I got an email from AT&T saying it will SHIP between the 18th and the 24th. That seems absurd to me, and was wondering if this happened to anyone else?
I preordered a silver on the 9th, wasn't told about back orders etc. I called in because mine also said two days but now I see it went so till like the 23rd. They told me that it the site doesnt update... But I'm pretty sure it's back ordered
