Hi
Anyone having any luck with connecting tomtom 5 to the builtin GPS interface in windows mobile 5 instead of direct bluetooth connect?

Hi,
I'm trying to connect the Nokia GPS LD-3W with Microsoft MapPoint.
I can get a connection between Vista an the LD-3W via BT.
Set to COM3 and COM4.
When I try to configure the GPS in MapPoint I see both COMs with the text no GPS hardware found.
Any hint????
Thanks
Ommog
check my other post about Autoroute
I have same problem with Autoroute 2007.
The Bluetooth implementation on the Shift is not as good as it could be.....
But on the other hand, I can connect with www.visualgps.net software
Try the software from VisualGPS (free) and please tell if that works. If it does, not only Autoroute, but also Mappoint is messing it up !
Autoroute is part of MapPoint and I guess it's no problem with the Shift,
becaus on my Dell Latitude 830 it doesn't run too.
With other tools like G-Tool I can connect without problems, so it's more a problem with Microsoft MapPoint & Autoroute.
hello would anyone know the settings[gprs] for bt mobile [uk] for daxian it is a windows 6 many thanks

hi
i tried installing garmin mobile xt and was not aware of the small storage rom avialable to us on snapvue side..
so now im wondering what you guys are using on both the snapvue side and the PC side for gps
and since i have no clue how to transmit gps data (if that is possible) to the windows side so that google earth or some other application can use that..
so be free to elaborate as much as you can
thanks in advance !!!
cheers
For SnapView I use BeeLine gps its really good and small Excelent for basic gps work
franson gps gate with the external btgps III (bluetooth gps receiver), and garmin mobile pc.
I`m using IGO8 PC on XP side with gpsgate (activesync). It`s working perfectly but gps fix takes longer than on other devices that I have.
How do you get the inbuilt GPS on the SnapView side to communicate with the Vista side?

Hi there,
I have a Samsung Omnia B7610 with WinMo 6.5, build in Radio & GPS. I also have a ASUS PDA 635, also with GPS & BT.
What I trying to do:
I run Franson GPS Gate and HyperGPS on the Smartphone. HyperGPS ist set to GPS & TMC, it runs fine on the Smartphone together with FREE NAVIGATOR, TMC and GPS works well. I Set the GpsGate on the Smartphone to Bluetoothserver with the Comport from Hypergps and I have already a Bluetooth connection to the PDA, using the serial port. I can successful connect the PDA to the Smartphone via Bluetooth but I do not receive a green Data Status with GpsGate on the PDA.
I did the same connection with a GPSEmulator on the Smartphone and it worked with TomTom on the PDA using the Bluetooth GPS settings. But I like to do the same with TMC via HyperGPS.
Any other connection freaks out there who can give me some hints or tried to do the same?
Thanks,
regards, Gopher.
