Problem with Navigon 6

Hello,
I've got some problems with Navigon 6.2 on my Touch Dual, in fact Installation and startup is OK, but when Navigon should show the map for Navigation, Navigon Crash with no error, and I go back to the today Screen.
I had search in this forum, some guys says, it's a memory problem.. I don't think so, because Navigon worked on my hw6515 and doesn't work with my touch dual or a Tytn II.

I use Navigon 6.2.0 Build 818 on my Touch Dual without any problem... as long bluetooth is enable before running it.... otherwise, its behaviour is a bit weird, not always the same...

Help : Touch 3 G & Garmin

I found a problem on running Garmin Mobile XT 5.0.2 with Touch 3 G.
It does not show satellite signal at all but is able to navigate to destination.
Quite annoy on this. Anyone know how to fix it.

Use IGO2008, better navigation IMO And works very well on Jade.

I have the same "problem" with tomtom 7. Doesnt show data but works fine for navigating so i dont really care that much.

Have tried IGO 8 already. Feature is very good and better than Garmin but Thailand map for Garmin has more detail and POI.
I think this is a bug of GPS software (Tom Tom & Garmin ) with chipset Qualcomm. Not sure when HTC will launch the patch to fix this

hello, i tested Jade with Garmin XT, runing with built-in GPS!!
Bug: gps signal NOT visible with A-GPS, bluetooth GPS perfekt signal strength visible
GPS port: COM4
work, tested!

I am currently using Garmin XT. works flawlessly.

Agreed, happen to me also....u cant see the GPS signal strength but the navigation working great.......

How on earth did people got IGO8 working?, I tried it, but the program looks like its starting but then disappears without any trace.
TT7 also does not show the satgraphs, but without that it does works fine.
I have disabled aGPS btw.

Found the solution now.
Garmin Taiwan just launched GMXT V5.00.00 Asian Version.
Have tested with 3G and it work very well. Also you can modify to your local language (Asian only)

care to explain how u disable ur A-GPS.....

May be you have problems with licenses. Also, if you are using an unoriginal IGO, you have to disable the animations.

Hi Jankos, I also tried it with no luck (8.000 and 8.3.2.6). Can't it be a problem in the sys.txt or data.zip ?

Just you need a different license.
Use the license file from 8.3.1 54384.
While installing the 8.3.2.64873, I resolved the issue by using above versions license file.

u must use tomtom 7.9 and the satellite show normally

Try this ... use GPS Intermediate Driver instead of Comm 4.

Garmin Mobile XT 5.00.20W
Hi All,
I had Garmin Mobile XT 4.xx.xx work perfectly on my Touch 3g. But today, I have upgrade Garmin to 5.00.20w but it is not working. It could not detect my internal serial port (com 4). Inteads, it locks to GPS intermediate driver always. What could be the issue? Can anyone help? Thanks.

The only issue I see is if I'm using TomTom 6 on my Pro is that after a long time (1-2 hours of use), the device will freeze. However, this has always happened when plugged in so maybe it's a heat issue.

Tom Tom 7 also works a treat.

Igo is much better... makes Garmin and Tom Tom look like crap...

Yes, Tom Tom 6 works beautifully.

not asking for maps as i know that is a copyright problem but can someone post the cab for the tt6 or tt7 program that works on this device. I already have the maps and am sure it will work on this one just as long as i can get the program. I am switching from a touch pro over to a treo pro here this week (switched companies switch phones ) Thanks for any help that can be provided!

I'm using Garmin XT, and there seems to be some cutoff at the bottom of the screen w/ RealVGA. has anybody tried TT w/ RealVGA? any artifacts/problems? TIA

Sat Nav Software?

What is the most reliable Sat Nav software for MDA Vario II? I have been looking at Garmin Mobile XT or Co-Pilot 7
Just wondered about any reccomendations?
Any comments would be much appreciated

people report various success with different software depending on where they are in the world for map covering and updates

I'm in the UK and use Tom Tom on my Touch Diamond, it works really well. Have only just got myself a Hermes (£25) so have yet to try any sat nav software on, yet.....

I've used TomTom software on all the following devices with excellent results:
- SPV M500 (Magician)
- SPV M3100 (Hermes)
- HTC Touch HD (Blackstone)

IGO 7 works like charm on my hermes.

The Tomtom ripped from the tytn II is OK, Tomtom 7. You do need to purchase the maps though...

I can confirm both tomtom 6 & tomtom 7 both work fine on hermes.
For tomtom 7 you can get the more recent maps, but it requires more ram to run. When I was running a m2d rom I had tomtom 7 close randomly on me a few times. No problems if you have more than about 15MB ram free though.

I like Tomtom 7, have no problem running it on my Jasjam... As I said though, you need to purchase the maps. The best things in life don't always come for free...

Problem with TomTom 7 and internal gps

I recently installed TomTom 7 on my rhodium and it works but on the screen i get a notification: not a GPS-device
It looks like tomtom doesn't recognize the internal gps...
Can anybody help ?
