Hi,
I've read post relating to the 'no gsm' error after upgrading the rom. I have the same 'no gsm' error, but i have not performed any upgrade! I was in the middle of writing an SMS, tapped send, and the XDA2 hung, so, i seft reset the unit and foticed the 'no gsm' error. The device now just stays at the splash screen, no buttons have any effect. I also tried a hard reset, nothing, still the 'no gsm' error.
Has anybody ever come across this before? or does anybody have any ideas how i can fix it?
Cheers
Paul

I hope sombody can possibly help...I've just recieved my Jamin in the mail, and tried to turn it on...but it seems to get stuck in a blue screen that has the i-mate logo, and the system info in the top left corner. I've tried several soft resets, and tried to hard reset to no avail.
Is there anyway to get around this? Or is my brand new toy already broken.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions or help.
When you said hard reset, do you mean you DID hard reset it but you still facing the same problem, or you are not able to perform hardreset at all?
I did a hard reset, and that put me at a screen with three color bars running across, Green, Red, and blue. At that point I was stuck again...had to soft reset to get ot of that screen.
Thanks!
get it to the blue/red/greem screen again and flash it to the latest Imate Rom.
I can get it to the tri color screen, but my PC won't recognize it, so I am unable to flash it with the latest ROM. Any suggestions?
Found the problem!!
I was hitting the wrong buttons for the hard reset. Hit the Comm mgr, camera, and soft reset buttons, then hit send when prompted. It returns to the boot screen, and after several minutes, will finally start up.
Thanks for the help!!
I am having a problem with my Wizard freezing during boot up. I was having difficulty with my phone running extremely slowly, so I performed a hard reset. I got an error saying "Format Failed", and the phone started freezing on the boot screen. So I tried flashing to the lastest T-Mobile WM5 ROM. Still had the freeze up problem. I tried flashing one of the WM6 ROMs and the phone continued exhibiting the same behavior. Hard resetting still yields the "Format Failed" error. Does anyone know how to fix this behavior?
Thanks!

Unfortunately a format failed usually indicates there is a hardware problem. If you are under warranty you should call for a replacement.
i just recently had same problem.. but i fixed it.. take a look at this forum...

I've had a similar problem before, I fixed it by removing the storage card during bootup. I never had a "format failed" message tho.
Hi, my m600 does not pass bootloader, i can hard reset/soft reset, wm5 has come on once, then went to align screen but had trouble everytime, but at least it was being recognised by active sync to load No Vendor Rom. ( i tried bootmode/then run RUU, with no luck) it either says error 260 no device detected (but its in task bar as removable drive.) or when it was working for them few minutes it it would run No Vendor setup great and recognise (as active sync is working at this point) but doesnt go past 0% and then the error comes up "error 606" and then offers the recovery process. also a little note to add: the first screen when turned on, sometimes the gsm 2.x.x.x is missing?? from the top left corner.
any help would be appreciated.
I am having keyboard problems and now when i do a soft reset it comes straight to the error message "A problem has occured with services.exe" does anyone know what could cause this or what would remedy it?
