Yeah was talkin to a admin right now. The wierd is that it's working with my uncle's Qtek 8020 to sync but not with mine Qtek 9100.
Is there any different settings you need on the exchange server becuase i got Active Sync 4.1 and he got the old WM2003 and probably a older Active Sync.
The two accounts's we are trying looks exacly the same and got the same permissions.
Can't check up wich versions he got right now becuase the phone is at the service point.
Anyone having any ideas what it could be?
Do i need Outlook installed on my PC?
Has anyone figured out how to do a WiFi synch with AS 4.X? I just read that Microsoft disabled the feature because of Enterprise security issues.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Dunno if this works, i need to try it when i get my Wizard on Tuesday.
http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=237804
The setup makes sense...I'll try it tonight. Thanks.
PS-The Wizard rocks. I have an O2 Atom and my wife just got the Wizard.
How to perform wifi sync on Wizard?
Sorry if this has been asked before.
I'm using ActiveSync 4.1.
Has anyone been successfull in something like this?
AirSync is only possible with AS3, the option is removed from AS4.
Molski.
Great I'll install AS3 then.
What is the procedure to do airsync then?
you can not make synchronization between your wizard or any WM05 Device with the pc using AS3
Really? Are you sure of that?
Why doesnt synchronization work with AS3?
So that leaves Wifi sync out of the question i suppose.
Too bad

Yes, we're quite sure. Microsoft made sure that WM5 devices cannot use any version of ActiveSync older than 4.0, and they removed the WiFi synch for security reasons. ActiveSync 4.x uses a network connection, and they didn't want that to be potentially hijackable.
Recently installed ZoneAlarm firewall on the pc, and its completely knackered the ActiveSync capability.
The device is "connected" and is seen and authenticated, but then hangs on the actual sync of the data.
Can anyone offer any recommendations?

Add AS to trusted zone in firewall settings and then set security level to medium for the trusted zone.
The best solution is: Don't use ZoneAlarm
And remember: There are also _good_ products out there...

not hugely helpful to be honest. ZoneAlarm was a free download and does the job for me so I am not looking to replace it.

Hi
This link would help:http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/raj/ZA4x.html
Dear All,
I've a serious problem with the lock feature in my HD. I access my work's e-mail through Exchange Server account. Once I synced it and it forced a password to be used as security the lock feature cannot be used!!!
Anybody knows how to fix this issue??
I suppose that what you mean is that the lock is disabled / enabled and it's impossible to change that?
That's because exchange server is forcing security policy to your device - you can bypass it by editing registry, but it will come back after every synchronization with exchange server so it's not really a sensible solution and I didn't hear about anything else...well you may force your admins to change security policy but I bet they won't do it
One more thing - in active sync there's an option to not force security policy but I don't know if it works - I've stopped using exchange server and I'm just synchronizing with outlook directly.
Hi Fadi,
maybe this will help (I know it worked for me..)

But I wouldn't tell it your security administrators if I were you
