Have anyone tried YouTube Mobile on your Prophet?
My Dopod 818 Pro keeps giving me error after I click watch video.
Yeap.. same here..
I dun think it works on 818Pro for some reason. Tried it with Opera, also the same.
I usually just use vixy.net to convert the youtube video file then copy it to the storage card and watch it. But this is offline.
I'm facing the exact same problem... I tried to find a solution to the problem last night, but I can't find no media player that handles rtsp streams...
i tried it on my wm6 wizard, and it worked perfectly on IE, thx!
(although i tried it on Opera, and it doesnt work)
Don't work for me also on my Dopo 818 pro and can't seem to find a solution, I have tried it on Opera, Netfront, TCPMP, Windows media, streaming media, even try it on a desktop computer, don't seem to work.
Can anyone help?
Hi,
I have a requirement to stream video from one camera on a pocketpc to another pocket pc connected via wireless network.
My main problem is where to start. I have looked at CameraCaptureDialog class but i dont think it can do what i need, unless i am mistaken.
I have looked at the following link
http://www.codeproject.com/KB/mobile/PocketStreamer.aspx
but that streams existing files from a PC. I want to be able to send a live camera feed from one Pocket PC to another.
Any ideas???
TIA.
Is it possible to stream videos/images/music from your PC to your diamond in a similar way the Xbox 360 does.
The Xbox uses the windows shared folders to pass data over the WI-FI network connection. It would be great to sit in an other room in the house and listen to my full MP3 libary on my PC through my diamond.
Is this possible? I have searched the forum and haven't seen anything else like this, sorry if I missed it.
Thanks.
you can try the new 'Orb 2.0' or the 'WinAmp Remote' programs and they wrok fine, you have to sign on thru the website, and you;; be able to access it that way, i tried it but it was sorta choppy and slow.... If anyone knows a better way to do so, please let me know. I have a HP Media Vault and would love to know if anyone knows a way to stream directly from there, and not have to bypass it thru my PC. Any help would be appreciated. Hope that helps, OP!!!!
yeah, you can do it with coreplayer
Orb's good, I stream video and audio through it, works well
Orb + codecs installed = Fluent video, no lag
how did you make it to play the videos with orb?
my opera browser always quits working when i try to play a video from orb...
I use HTC Network Tool to access my shared files from my computer on my phone over WIFI Network and then use tcpmp to listen to music, watch video's, view photo's, read documents.... works pretty good for me on HTC Touch Elfin
Hello all,
I have a small computer store and I have connected 2 TrendNet IP cameras to my network to monitor my store and record all activity with their sowftware. Also them being an IP cams any computer in network can open their IP addresses and watch what is happening in the store over Internet Explorer or other browsers on a PC ...
Is there some program for my HTC Touch HD to monitor those cams? Or am i missing something I need to install to be able to see through Internet Explorer or Opera on my HTC Phone. In my previous phone (HTC TyTn) i could only see still image from camera, but not video. Blackstone won't even show still image.
Both cameras support MS ActiveX and one camera can also show video through java, video is coded in MPEG4 format.
Thanks in advance...
I would like to know a solution to this as well. I have the Panasonic netcams and have the same problem. My wife has the iphone and can view movement on the cams full screen via safari.
interesting....

have you tried "my orb" http://www.orb.com/
Try to find out direct url to the mpeg4-stream, then just open windows media player, go library, menu -> open URL
If u manage to play the mpeg4-stream with ur computer, click over the video windows -> properties, there u should see the url from where windows media player is playing the stream. The url could be something "rtsp://..." or "mms://..."

Webcamxp:
webcamXP Mobile HD v2.1.3
This new version has been particulary optimized for HTC Touch HD.
Try Yawcam
I had a little dabble with streaming a web cam to the internet and the best program I came across was a free program called YAWCAM (Yet Another Webcam Software!).
http://www.yawcam.com/
I haven't used it recently, but it is simple to use and I successfully streamed images of our home to my Orange SPV E650 (this too was an HTC smart phone, but rebranded for Orange in the UK).
I reckon on the HD the results should be pretty good. A the time I was using it for monitoring our newly installed cat flap (CATCAM!) to make sure both of our cats were actually using it (one still refuses to ) .
I think if you used this in conjunction with remote desktop, VNC or the like, you should then be able to control the camera too.
Hope this helps...
I own a couple of places... and use the AVTECH DVR's
16 cameras on each site..and it comes with an app.. eagleyes. It is for WM5/WM6..and have it running with no probs on all devices..from QVGA - WVGA.
only thing you may get is a weird name for each connection. otherwise..I can happily sit anywhere and still look at my public/staff

Like L4z3r said, I would check out this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=513988
There is no need for a computer to be on and attached if the camera supports JPEG or MJPEG. It allows you to have one free IP camera so you can also test to make sure it works for you.
mmdirk, the app supports PTZ on Panasonic (for cameras that have PTZ capabilities), you can actually control the camera with the touch of a finger. Hope this works for you.
WebcamXP Mobile HD does the job
Hi, I'm using Webcam Mobile HD (see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=492081) with my IP camera Y-Cam Knight and it works like a treat. Best via 3G or WiFi but 1 pic every 10sec even via GPRS. The software also has full-screen and landscape modes to make use of the large display. Highly recommended!
Hi,
Having a problem with the HD with streaming audi from mycast.Orb.com, video *.asx works fine as does internet TV, but on audio it downloads stream.asx file (it does call it a video file though video/x-ms-asx) and windows media tries to open and says it cannot play the file as it doesnt support the format,
Any ideas? This is wierd as it works fine on my HTC touch and on a PC.
Thanks
Mark
I guess noone else gets this problem hohum
does anyone know any way to use an alternative player for streamed media? can I tell the HD to open .asx files with a different tool?
hi, i have problem with orb and hd too,bt i can not open nothing, just click on link and nothing happen. i tried opera and ie,skyfire instead tell me to download the file asx.
How odd guys...
I've been streaming stuff from my orb set up no problems since the day I got it...
Are you using PIE or Opera to browse your selections?
