HTC HD2 Model number?

Am new here and wanted to know how i can tell what version HD2 I have?
Where do I go to find that out?
T9193
T8585
All I know is that I bought it yesterday (4/3/10) at Fry's Electronics.
Is it true that ONLY the T9193 version can access AT&T 3G speed and not the T8585?
You mostly likely bought the US Tmo Version which is neither of the ones you stated. I found this quote by KKBII a member here.
"Of note, the official name for this device when connected the the wm device center is simply T-Mobile LEO. Without the actual box my hands are somewhat tied here but underneath the battery and in settings- About the number is T-MOBILE T5160."
So T5160 is your model number.

Nope, don't see this number listed anywhere in the software nor official apps/documentation.
You're the only person even pushing this number, and you haven't made Google yet.

I don't think he's saying that is the number, just telling you to look under the battery, or on the box.

Look under the battery cover above the IMEI number. It will appear on the black portion of the label in tiny print. If you see PB81110, then you have the T9193. If you see PB81100 then you have the T8585. The numbers also appear on the bootloader screen.

And what if you see PB81120 (which is what I see on my TMOUS?)

Yes he/she said that is the number. Read it again, and the other threads:
"So T5160 is your model number."
As said, it's been all hand-waving and no information with citation as to what this model number is besides TMOUS 1024Leo, or PB81120.
Still no corect model mumber i found the modle id PB81120 from searching but cant seem to fiend the corect model number.
its not t8585 or t9193
The t5160 number comes up with nothing on a google. search any other ideas or do we not have a model number?

Here is a simple way. Is your send key Green? , Is your End key Red?, If those are true you have A TMOUS version ...

But with the info above , the wcdma band does not include 1900 which is used for At&t 3g, also no the 850 which AT&T uses in some areas, the wcdma, is what you need to get 3g not the first gsm freqs.
The other thing is , if you have a 1024 Flash, then it is a TMOUS ...
So in summary with the model ID of PB81120, you will not get AT&T 3G ..
I just wonted to know the model number for ordering parts i cant seem to get it through to a ebay seller over seas that the tmobile hd2 is diffrent then the
t8585 or t9193. I need a new lcd and digitizer. They sent me one for the t8585 and it wont work with my phone he insistets it will and i cant find a model number to refer to him to proov him wrong.

That may be the only way, this would not be the first time a manufacturer made a OEM item for someone like TMO and did not assign one of their own model numbers to it .. It may not even have an HTC model number ... But you could always call HTC and ask them ...
Model number
I called HTC asking for the model number of my PB81120, and the lady told me
LEO1.5-06
....lol..now that's a 1st for me...and Google.
Hello everyone, I'm really interested in buying an HTC HD2 and I found this T-Mobile Germany model, but there's something about it that I can't really understand:
-- a regular HD2 has the back camera centered:
-- here's how this T-Mobile Germany HD2 looks like:
-- here's the front of the same one:
Can someone help me out with this? Is that HD2 genuine? Is it an OK HD2? Flashable? I'm really fascinated by this phone's abilities and I really want to try different ROM's on it. Thanks!
that's almost certainly a tmous, not a regular , what memory information does it show? what does it say in bootloader? (power off, press and hold voldown, tap and release power,,, bootloader is the coloured stripey screen)
edit - oh wait, ive never heard any mention of either having an off center camera, , could it be a chinese fake? what processor and system data do the system info screens display?
edit 2 - yea, just checked, the tmous has a centred camera too, its a fake. Also, the earphone socket should be in teh bottom, not at the top.
Thanks for the reply. I don‘t have the phone, those pictures are from the advert. But I was interested in getting it, the seller sais it‘s a new(as in unused) T-Mobile Germany HD2. I‘m really curious if anyone else knows anything about this.
IMO, that is a fake, there's no such HD2 looking like that...
But if you insist to get some good shape US hd2, PM me, maybe I can help you!

There's no such thing as a t mobile Germany HD2, ,,(well there is, but its just a regular HD2 with a t mobile branded rom installed,, it doesn't have coloured keys, but white keys like all the others, its no different than the o 2Germany, or voda UK, or orange France. )
Only, ,,ONLY, ,,t mobile USA has a different model HD2, yours is a fake, and chances are it won't be flashable with HD2 tools anyway.
Thank you very much for the replies!
Digging a little bit more on the internet I am now 100% it's fake. Check this out:
http://micgadget.com/6759/t-mobile-htc-hd2-wannabe-finally-appeared/
Also a video of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okREiJlBXMs
Thinking that I was just about to buy it... :silly:
bib*oops - I think I'm gonna contact you on PM for more details.
that micgadget article has it the wrong way around, several times it refers to the fake as the t mobile one.

My MSID is a bunch of zeros followed by 10 digits, i got it from activating my phone online...is this the right number?
The other MSL threads say it is a 6 digit number

Your "MSID" has over 10 digits, which is correct. Your "MSL" is not the same number. It is only 6 digits. (hint: MSID not = MSL)
I just sent Sprint an email that said, "I need my MSL," and they sent it the next day.

[Q] Serial Number

Since Google is not likely to cough up production figures on the Nexus 7, is there a serial number associated with the device that we can use to deduce an approximate number? Like if everyone posted their number if it was higher than the previous high?
I think monthly totals will be - big...

Who knows how serial numbers will work but sometime it's sequential.
Hopefully with the 'big' number of devices sold, this will mean awesome development for our Nexus 7s
where is the Serial Number located?
It is on the box, in your warranty pamphlet and on the clear removable plastic sticker on the back of the N7.

How can I change my imei?

As the title suggests, is it possible?
The story is;
I'll visit a country where it only accepts the phones purchased there to connect to their networks.
If I swap my imei with a cheapo phone's imei purchased in that country then I am good to go.
I know. Governments can find interesting ways of milking their citizens. But I am not a citizen of that country...
Yes, i would like to know this as well. I too am visiting that country soon.
Changing the IMEI is illegal so no one on here is going to tell you how to do it...

Here:

For example, in the United Kingdom, under the Mobile Telephones (Re-programming) Act, changing the IMEI of a phone, or possessing equipment that can change it, is considered an offence under some circumstance.[4]

Could you please stop spamming the thread?
It isn't illegal where I am now. It isn't illegal where I am visiting either.
Also, it isn't illegal anywhere in the world unless you connect to a gsm network.
It's like saying "owning a knife is illegal because you can kill someone with it".
In my eyes, even though it's against the law, I see that as a legitimate reason to change imei. That law is absolutely appalling.
Not going to give you direct answer, but googling how to change imei in fastboot should lead you to the answer.
BTW, in UK it is illegal. As i guess it is in that particular country. What country is?

Says you're in London, which is part of the UK, where it is illegal to change the IMEI
And I'm not spamming your thread as you asked me where it says it's illegal. I've shown you. Regardless of where you are now, people aren't going to post how to change the IMEI on this forum as it breaks forum rules
It's illegal in most of the countries. That's why this thread can't stay.

Free S-View Cover claim.

Hi, i bought my Galaxy S4 on 28th june.
Samsung had a promotional offer that a GS4 bought within the dates 10 June-30 June would recieve a free S-View cover.
The offer had to be claimed online, by entering the IMEI number. But, when i entered my IMEI number, it showed that the offer is not available for my device.
I even mailed my details and a scanned copy of the invoice to their email id. But as if now, i haven't received any response.
Does this mean that i am fooled by the shopkeeper or my device is suspected to be authenticated ???
Please help me, i want to avail that offer.
Well thats bad luck buddy. Talk to ur dealer and ask him to get it done for him.. if you have sent a mail just wait for a reply..
Is this offer online or just with your supplier?
