MP3 PROBLEM(need help)

i update my rom to
1.03.07 CHS
11/01/04
1.05.00
1337.39
extrom-1.03.169 CHS
this rom version i download at
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Magician/unspecified/radio+nk+extrom_dopod_818_chs_fixed.rar
after i install makemp3asringtone.cab(english version) file into my ppc.
when i hold at the song of mp3,it never give choose (set mp3 as ringtone)
y?
i also try to install makemp3asringtone.cab(chinese) file into my ppc,
it also cannot set mp3 as ringtone.
.................................................................................................... .
6 month before,i install this cab file in my device with (o2 english rom),
install the cab file (english) or (chinese) also can set mp3 as ringtone.
or any ppl can help me to modified this 2 cab file,to support to my chs rom?
sorry ,my english not very well.......................
i remember a solution to your problem has something to do with the chinese characters. try renaming the .mp3s using numbers only. also you don't need the makemp3asringtone.cab just put the mp3 file in the windows/rings/ folder and then when you go to settings notifications phone:incoming call the option to chooset hat mp3 would be there.
pls check if u had installed any of the music player beside windows media player, coz the others player will take over the default WMP to play ur mp3 so u cant set it as a ringtones.
If u had installed any others music player go to the player file extension & remove the mp3 extension.
ok ,i will try it
thx for (fone_fanatic ,me_guitarist) reply .

Help with WMP 10 and Skins
I've downloaded a skin posted on the forum, G.AMP and put it in this folder:
\Program Files\Windows Media Player\G.amp~WMP
When you go into Windows Media Player 10 it does not find the skin.
I have WM 2005 and WMP 10 and an XDA Exec 3G.
Any help much appreciated, Declan.
I'm sure I just put mine in My Documents and it found it.

I have tryed for ages to change the skin in media player but there is no way ive found.
i did notice that there is a *192.bmp file in the windows directory (windows\) that if you open looks just like the default skin. if i rename the default(portrait).skn file in the \Program files\media player\ folder then media player wont start in portrait mode so its definutly pulling the skin from there but all the different ways i put the skin files i have it just wont work, not even if i rename then the default(portrait) will it work.
Has anyone got this to work?
im just trying to keep this post alive!, i still cant manage to get this to work.
Also i found a way to display album art, just copy the picture of the album into the folder of the album and change the name to "Folder.jpg", now whenever a song is played from the folder WMP will show the picture

youtube videos

how can ı open youtube video with herald...ı download flash but ı can't open videos
USE OPERA 8.65 AND Flashplayer7
FIRST INSTAL OPERA AND Flashplayer7 AFTER THIS U CAN VIEW YOUTUBE VIDEO
ı install opera and flash long time ago...but ı cant open...when ı click the video it says "you either have javascript turned off or an old version of macromadia flash player" but ı have last version of flash and opera...and ı also have java..
You can't because youtube uses a newer flash player than flash 7.
You can search by google on something called Tinytube, That's a website that you can open with your mobile. This website converts youtube video's to .3gp online.
opera and flash 7 does work. problem is the wing comes to a crawl when trying to play videos. but yea, you can actually see the flash player videos working in the browser.
use TCPMP
another option is it use TCPMP with this program/plugin called tcpmp FLV plugin I have been using this for a while and it works rather nicely. Just download whatever youtube video u wanna watch directly to your device and then view via tcpmp.
i downloaded the plugin you posted, but how do you install it?
the read me says:
How to use the source code!!
1. download the TCPMP full source code "tcpmp.src.0.72RC1.tar" from its official site.
2. Extract the tcpmp.src.0.72RC1.tar file to a folder
3. Delete the ffmpeg folder from the TCPMP source code folder
4. Extract the two folders in tcpmpflvplugin-v0.3-src.zip to the TCPMP source code folder
For Visual Studio 6.0 users:
5. Just open the tcpmp.dsw in the source folder and add the flvsplitter project to the workspace.
6. Compile the flvsplitter project and ffmpeg project.
7. Rename the ffmpeg.plg to flvffmpeg.plg in the output folder.
8. Done. You have got the plugin files, flvsplitter.plg and flvffmpeg.plg.
For PalmOS SDK developers:
Please help me to compile it and send the PalmOS version of this plugin to me. Thanks.
are there more files that need to be downloaded from the main site?
i didn't have the ffmpeg folder... but it has trouble unzipping the 2 folders....
how do you compile projects? i'm confused... any help would be appreciated. thanks!

Click to collapse
when you go this website http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/ you download either one of the exe files under the titile windows mobile activesync depending if you are installing this on a windows mobile phone or a windows smartphone. the exe files are used to install via active sync. if you want to install directly from your phone then you can download one of the cab files depending on what kind of phone you have. and run cab file directly from the phone itself.
after you install that download all the additional plugins for all platform and install them. then go to the link for flv and download those files. then copy paste the .flv files in folder you installed tcpmp which you will find in program files on your device. if you installed in the storage card then go to the storage card and then program files.
flv plugin has a youtube downloader app. launch the app and open internet explorer and go to the youtube video you wanna watch copy paste the url in the youtube downloader app and download it. then turn on tcpmp and play it.

How to get Media Player Keys working

I have WM6 from Andot and want to use the first and second Media Player Key.
In ALEUTs Rom they are working, but there are some other programs in Andots Rom wich are better for my issues
In the forum i found something about the windows directory and the windows/key directory where i have to put files called Short_AP1.lnk or AP1S.lnk or pie.lnk
I created that files filled with a link to the media player and copied them to my Amadeus, but nothing works.
Do I have to edit the registry or do i need a driver or something to get the keys working?
I have the T-mobile SDA Music

Need Windows Mobile 6.5 Ringtones (Or NB file extraction help)

Hey guys and gals.
I recently upgraded my XPERIA X1 to WM 6.5 using the W4X ROM on the ROM's page however, I have realised the guy who cooked it removed quite a lot of the default ringtones that come with the XPERIA (which I assume are part of Windows Mobile).
So, I'm curious how I could get them back. I have a back up of the previous O2 R2AA rom that came preinstalled and have extracted the NBH file to get several NB files (one, which is called Windows which I assume is essentially the Windows folder on the internal memory where all the ringtones are) but I'm not sure how to extract this image. Google search didn't help.
It's either that or one you nice chaps could possibly ZIP/RAR all the ringtone files within the Windows folder and kindly upload them somewhere
Cheers,
Hyped.
I personally like the dreamland sms tone and am still looking for it
I'm not sure what the original ringtones were (I have 6.5 now too and I've never bothered to check before), but this might be it.
