I tried updating my 2i and it is stuck in USB mode and wont boot up after hard and soft reseting!
Please could someone tell me what I can do to fix it...

go into bootloader (reset while holding power and direction button) install new rom from o2 in cradle as normal.
i had this problem but once i done a hard restet it sorted it out,

please help me, i was update my xda to ppc2003 while computer was down, that cause me have to restart it, after that my xda dead, i use hadr reset it says gsm ok, then start a set of test like,ram, usb, sound,sd card. then stoped. can someone tell me how to fix it. thanks a lot, i really need that pda.
hard reset doesn't lead to these diagnosis ... are you sure you didn't go into the boot loader mode ??
only hard reset will cause nothing, i use hard reset and power key come out the bootloader svreen says" gsm ok" then i press action key, it start test
this means "soft reset" ... the hard reset is the small hole with red battery icon.
Anyway, having "GSM Ok" is a good news ... all you need now is to try HARD reset ... and if it doesn't work, you may flash your ROM with a new one using SD card if your boot loader version is older than 6.22
I have a big problem with my mda vario.
the begenning: !. i done a hardreset and before finishing a softreset.
now my ppc doesnt boot anymore. the hung up is by the screen of t-mobile.

Stupid question, but why would you do a soft reset in the middle of a hard reset?
Anyway, probably your best bet would be to download the latest t-mobile rom, put your phone in bootloader mode and flash the rom again. This time, avoid doing a soft reset in the middle of it.

Press and hold the camera key and then press the on button. When multicolored bootloader screen comes up release the camera button and then you're ready to flash.

I did a Hardreset on my XDA Mini and after that it loads when I start the files for the system and after that it changes back to the "Serial v1.02" screen.
How can I fix the phone that I can use it as before?
What is wrong?

I fixed this when I remove battery ant wait two hours. Or just try press soft reset button

If that don't work, try to reinstall your rom. If that happened when OS was loaded then that could be rom fail
hay hard reset again & plug your charger. try to this way.
reflash your ppc but use Windows XP
flash any shipped rom or coutlla's rom

NOW THE PROBLEM IS...
1. MY DEVICE BUTTONS(HARD KEYS) NOT WORKING BUT I CAN MAKE THE DEVICE IN BOOTLOADER (TRICOLOR) MODE BY PRESSING CAMERA + POWER BUTTON.
2. AFTER INSTALLING A ROM WHENEVER MY DEVICE STARTS IT SHOWS THE HARD RESET SCREEN (BLACK SCREEN........... ALL THE DATA ...BLAH BLAB......)
I HAVE TO REMOVE THE BATTERY AND START THE DEVICE AFTER 30 MINS.) PLEASE NEED THE SOLUTION ......

if u can get ur tricolor screen then try this
connect the usb cable to pc and see if u get the USB words on the phone tricolor screen if so good try flashing any official ROM the same happened to my phone long back did the above got my phone back asuming u have done HSPL for ur phone if u have not done that then the only way is to take it to service

Wrong forum.. Touch P3450 is not a touch 3g , its the original touch (ELF version)
but i will try and help as i have owned both.
if your hardware buttons are not working it could be possible that your send and end keys are stuck down as this key combo brings up the hard reset you are talking about.
think you are going to have to open it as it sounds like a hardware fault, and if you cannot get into bootloader you cannot flash
if it was working alright before this is not the case, but either way you will have to fix your camera button and get into bootloader
