I've cooked a WM2003SE rom from http://lumpistefan.dyndns.org/WM2003SE/form.php
A fail message pop up in 98% progress bar. The progress bar in XDA also stop at need 98% position. But the message above the progress bar shows 'COMPLETED'.
After I hard reset the XDA, I only get the bootloader v5.17 with 'GSM OK' message.
I'm doomed now. How can I continue the upgrade? Or how can I fall back?

I've tried to use the OSImageTool to write a SD card.
but my XDA bootloader 5.17 don't give me the 'Restore SD' command.
And I have no luck to find a valid URL for Wallaby Patch bootloader.
Could anyone help me, please?

I am trying to upgrade my Radi STack (RSU)
I have an excutable file with the new RSU. When I ran, it takes me through few steps where at the end my XDA is rebooted and I get a button on my screen that says "Start" to start the upgrade process. When I press it, after few seconds I get a get an error message saying "Falsh Failed". When I press Ok (what else?!), The XDA is rebooted again and the process is repeated. If I do a format for the XDA, things go to normal.
DOes any 1 know what is going wrong here and how to fix this?

Which ROM do you have? Which ROM are you trying to install? Etc.
I have 3.18.04 and R3.23.01 for the RSU and bootloader 5.22
I am trying to install the RSU 4.16
Also, when I have tried to install the XDA speciall ROM, it didn't work where after I see the screen "Upgrading" on my screen and the upgrading window on my computer asking me to wait for about 5 minutes, the activsync link is disconnected.
It is not clear to me what is the problem, is it the ROm, the bootloader or what?
HELP.... I was unable to upload my sx56 with the new 2003. I crashed my ROM... Any ideas on how to restore.

Froozen SX56 while upgrading the ROM
Unfortunately my system crashed when i was upgrading my ROM this is for a AT&T SX56 Pocket PC which I wanted to unlocked so that I could use it with T-Mobile SIM card. Now the screen says :

I was trying to upgrade it with the xda-developer rom verison.
I dont have any backup also for this device please help and I do have a SD card and SD card reader also.
If the bootloader not be erased, you could still use SD to restore OS.
If the bootloader already damaged, the only solution is hardware solution.

using Xdrit to write the OS to SD card via SD writer.
you can get Xdrit from xda-developers.com (do some search).

I had this stupid RadioStack crash that resulted in GSM ERROR that made my device unable to recharge the battery or run mobile function, so the status now is a ppc which has no phone and should always be conected to AC
when I consulted the Agent service tey claimed it's a motherboard error that would require a new baord, which'll cost me around 300$.

I was updating my new i-mate SP3 (typhoon) to the latest i-mate ROM 2.4.33.11 which completed successfully but now every time I turn on the phone it goes directly to the bootloader tri-color screen. I tried several times to update the ROM again but it does'nt help. It shows the proccess completed successfully but the phone is still stuck in bootloader mode.
In the bootloader screen it shows the following
IPL 1.00
SPL 2.5.0102
I even tried to flash the ROM through an image of Orange4114_ALL_SPL1010091 on a miniSD card but it gives an error message
"Not allowed update!"
Please help me figure out how to get my phone working again.

I don't have the Typhoon and don't know if this will work for you, but this is at least how we fix this problem on the Hermes:
Enter into bootloader using mtty.exe and run the command "set 14 0" and "task 8". Phone will reboot and start OS.
If it doesn't work, then try the SD flash method mentioned by surfturtle. Keep in mind that if your device is not superCID the image file should match the CID of your phone (must be an original shipped update from your vendor). This method consist on:
1) extract the rom image from the rom upgrade exe (winrar or cabextract can be used for that) and you'll find a .nbf file.
2) Rename it to TYPHIMG.nbf
3) Format your SD card in FAT32
4) Put TYPHIMG.nbf on the root folder of your SD card
5) put sd card on the phone, and enter into bootloader
6) confirm flashing on screen, and wait until the process is finished (do not reset it, will take about 30min).
Check the hermes wiki if you need more information on any of this.

I-mate ROM
Hi, I did the upgrade through the PC but the device info still shows the old ROM: 2.1.33.13 No error messages and the phone keeps hanging on me.
Is this version of ROM the Arabic one? If not, can someone post or point to where I can download the arabic version? I did not find it on the I-mate website.

I have a imate jam and i was having a problem upgrading the ROM. I have used all the information about upgrading from the site. But still I keep getting "Radio Stack" "please wait" on the pda screen. Then a minute later I get "radio rom update error" on my computer screen. I was wondering if there are commands that I could use in mtty to erase are reformat, or wipe out the old ROM. Before I got to this stage. My jam would boot up and say no GSM in the bottom right corner when it booted up after a soft reset or anytime. I wanted to know if my radio (part) just went out. If so does anyone know were to get parts. Thanks in advance

Sorry for being so rude in the subject, Actually I am facing a very strange problem... While updating any rom on Artemis... MDA compact III it goes ok till the progress bar, but right there PC shows a progress bar and ppc shows a white screen...and goes hang.....
Pl let me know why is this happening?

did you tried to flash via SD Card flashing method?
Your phone is still CID locked. Unlock it before proceeding to install the rom. Once the CID is unlocked it should be fine.
Remove your SD card.
