a little thing, How to activate loudspeaker for XDA II
any1??
Did you attempt a search for the answer to this question?? It's come up time and time again.
As you make a call, press and hold the dial button (the green phone button) for a few seconds. A little loudspeaker icon will appear in the start bar and you will then hear the call properly.
Thanks
Anthony
tnx for the quick reply,
yeah, somebody told me that way, but unfortunately i cant.. the call will end or loudspeaker still doesnt appear. keep on repeating the process but i cant.. is there a simple proggie to enable loudspeaker?
Holding the dial button doesn't seem to work for Magneto, nor does holding down the power button to shut off the backlight.

Hold the green call button for 3 seconds. A balloon should appear and tell you the speakerphone is on.
To revert back to the earpiece repeat the procedure.
cheers

This procedure worked fine in the beginning. Meanwhile it turned out, that there seems to be a major bug in the present software. There is somewhere a thread here which describes that problem, as far as I remember it was called something like "handsfree ....."

does the magician have loudspeak? and if so how do i enable it.
its the only function i really miss from my old handset.
Yes it does.
To activate it, press the green phone button for about three seconds. The hard buttin on the casing, not the soft button on the screen.
The time to press it is anytime after intiating a call, before of after the person at the other end answers.
bonus, so it does
many thanks!
I have an issue that has gotten to be rather annoying with my Wizard. When I'm no a call, My case sometimes presses the center button on the D-Pad, and results in my call being put on hold. I thought that setting the device to turn off after one minute would eliminate the problem (my device is set to only power on using the power button when in standby. The problem is that this rule has an exception during a call. The call answer button is still active, and when the case presses it, I get my call put on hold again. There is also warning sound of any kind when the call is put on hold. Is there a way to deactivate the call answer button when on a call to avoid this issue?
Hi all
How do I adjust the volume of a call on loudspeaker ?
Pressing the vol toggle on the side of the phone during the call brings up the system volume slider only.

what / where are the lateral volume buttons, are they the ones on the side of the phone, if so, they do nothing to the speaker volume for me when im on a call.
can you please clarify, thanks
EDIT: I tell a lie, I have just tried dialling my voice mail, I put it on speaker and tried adjusting the volume. It does seem to work although it wont let me reduce the volume below a certain level. I wonder how my original problem occured then???? maybe its to do with receiving a call.
When I receive a call, the phone screen turns off, so how would I then put the call on speaker ???
Many thanks if you can help
you should tap the "green" YES call button on the left to make appear the screen and select your action like having the keypas to delete a message on your answering machine for example

Press the phone button and the screen will turn back on. You can also use the power button to do this. Once the screen is back on you can select the keypad, put the call on hold or anything else you might want to do while still on a call.

ahh gotcha, thanks bugs.
My play/pause button which I believe should hang up a call I am in when I press it instead puts the call on hold! Any ideas as to how to make it hang up instead?
Many thanks
You need to long press it to hang up the call. Short press puts the call on hold, as you rightly noticed.

Play/pause button???
You've got a call button (aka send or call send), and you've got a call end button.
If you're in a call and you press the call button, you quite rightly put the current call on hold so you can make another. When you press the call end button, it ends the current call. (If you put someone on hold and make another call, call end will return you to the original call. Call end, again, will end that call.)
The call button is not a toggle. It's an "on" button. The call end is an "off" button.
