Bluetooth Mayhem XDAII - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Good Afternoon, morning, evening whichever applies
I have an xdaII and ever since I upgraded to a newer rom I have had blue tooth problems
I did upgrade to sins 2.06 version and get BT working over active sync
But now when I create all the ports and partnerships and pair the pc and xdaII together when I go to the connect via blue tooth menu when I tap it it does nothing at all
I have tried updating the rom right up to ver 2.20 and it still does the same thing, I can pair and connect from pc to xdaII and the other way around and they can both see each other over blue tooth re passwords and stuff but the xdaII does nothing when I tap connect via blue tooth.
I have searched for posts and tried loads of things but still the xdaII does nothing not even error messages, fine on IR as it says it is connecting but BT No way
Anyone any ideas as it must be something on the xdaII, which is not happening
Thanks for anybody’s time in advance

BT Activesync problem

I used to be able to connect to activesync via bt. But after a recent hard reset, when I tap on bt in ActiveSync in my PPC, it just does nothing. No response, no error message, just nothing happens.
However BT headset works fine.
Can anyone help? Thanks.
I got the same problem with ActiveSync via Bluetooth after I upgrade my Xda II from ROM version 1.52 to 2.06. Transfering files via BT works fine, but not activesync.
I keep searching the posting for solving the problem

Maybe a stupid question, but did you re-create the ActiveSync bluetooth bond on your XDA2 before trying to use AS? I made this mistake after a ROM update a while ago.
After the ROM upgrade, don't just create a new bond to the PC through the Bluetooth page. You must go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Bluetooth Settings and then tap the 'Bluetooth ActiveSync Setup' button, which creates a bond ready for BT ActiveSync.
Of course, you may know this so this may seem like a silly suggestion, but this is the mistake I made after a ROM upgrade...
BT ActiveSync Problem on XdaIIs Solved
Hi SiliconS,
Thank you very much for your suggestion. My Xda can ActiveSync via Bluetooth now. I am very happy with it.
It was 3 weeks after upgrading, I searched thru the posting on the Internet. I share my problem and request help. Almost everyday looking the site waiting for the reply.
Tonight is my great night, you came with suggestion and solve my problem.
After I removed bonding device, I performed Soft Reset. On Bluetooth Setting, I unchecked Passkey Require, uncheck Inbound and Outbond Com Port, then select Start and continue rebounding device.

O2 Clip BT headset and XDA2i

Hi
I've received my XDA2i today and am very pleased with it...even if my girlfriend was less than impressed given it's likeness to the XDA2! Hehe...
Anyway, I am having great difficulty getting my o2 bluetooth clip headset to pair up and connect. I have tried and rechecked everything I can think of, yet when I try to connect it as a headset / handsfree in BT Connection Wizard, it comes back (after asking for the legtimate pin) saying "an error occured while attempting service discovery. Please make sure the remote device is turned on, BT is enabled and the device is discoverable and try again".
I've checked on my old XDA2 just now and it recognises it straight away. Obviously the 2i is doing something because it asks for the pin.
Can anyone help?
Cheers
Anthony
I somehow managed to pair the headset which does now show in bonded pairings.
Also whilst performing a hard reset I managed to make it a hands free headset briefly so there doesn't appear to be a problem with the headset (and it works fine with the XDA2).
Is there a way of removing this broadcom stack and replacing it with one that works better? it's currently build 3900.
Cheers
Anthony
Thanks for all the responses!
However, now I've resigned myself to this I was wondering if anyone DOES actually knew of a way to remove the standard xda2i BT stack and replace it with a version akin to that present in XDA2 ROMs.
I personally couldn't give two shiny sh*tes about all the other features, if having them means I can't use the damn thing whilst driving!
Cheers

Connect to PAN with MS BT Stack?

Hi All,
Just got a new SPV M500 on orange, everythings working OK but I cant connect to to my BT PAN at home, the PAN server (Linux box) shows up but I cant use it as a PAN.
Does the standard MS BT stack allow connections to PANs? Ive seen the other threads regarding the alternative BT stacks but I only need PAN access, I dont have any other probs with the standard MS stack.
M500 is running Windows Mobile 2003SE (version 4.21.1088; build 14235.2.0.0).
Another quick question - how do i turn off the phone, the book says to just hold the power buttin down but it just turns off the backlight on mine.
Many thanks
jeff
No PAN with pure MS.
Quick off --> temporarily remove battery lid.

Can't (bluetooth) connect with anything!

Apologies if this is in the wrong forum....
Hi all,
I have searched the Diamond forums for answers to my bluetooth problem but as far as I can see all relative posts relate to problems encountered once connected.
I have had my Diamond (o2 Ignito) since Sept 08 and so far have managed to succesfully pair, via bluetooth, with another device once... and once only.
I have just bought a bluetooth dongle for my vista laptop (the dongle is Vista compatible). I eagerly plugged it in, and sure enough the drivers installed themselves. I then made sure that both the laptop and my ignito had their bluetooth turned on and were discoverable.
However, neither device will pick each other up!
I have tried pairing my ignito with my wifes Sony Ericsson k850i (with which it has successfuly paired before) and it won't connect.
Anyone any ideas???
Matt
Still struggling with this one folks!
Any ideas/solutions?
Still won't work!
mine wont either. i can go to the bluetooth explorer and it works fine. hardly what i want to do though. each time it says 'doesnt accept this file type.'
i can bluetooth to anything i want with my sony eric. 810i.
did you find a fix?
